The Villain's Little Cat-Chapter 9
Chapter 9: Wake Up
Professor Kyle sat up and rubbed his forehead.
He still felt a bit dizzy, but it was much better than before. Turning his eyes to the side, he could see the small kitten sleeping peacefully on top of his bag. Her body curled up nicely as if she was sleeping on a comfortable bed.
Professor Kyle pursed his lips.
What a heartless little kitten.
But the kitten was only a few weeks’ old. He forgot the exact age since he didn’t pay much attention to his father’s words when the latter entrusted the cat’s care to him. For him, it was just a matter of taking care of the cat for a period of time.
His line of sight fell on the bloodied knife beside the bag and his expression changes slightly.
It was then he realized that the kitten’s back leg was splattered with blood.
.....
Professor Kyle frowned.
He stood up and followed the blood trail towards the table. It was then he noticed the dying giant lizard there. There was a blood pool below the lizard, but it was not dead yet. At this moment, it was struggling weakly.
The blood loss was quite significant.
By now, the giant lizard was so weak that it could only struggle helplessly.
“So, they truly arrived, huh?” Professor Kyle’s voice was cold.
He turned around and took his pocket knife. Within seconds, he had returned to the giant lizard and used the pocket knife to cut the neck cleanly. This time, the giant lizard died instantly as it had lost too much blood.
Professor Kyle’s expression was cold. He used the knife to stab the giant lizard’s body and made a long cut. In the middle of the giant lizard’s stomach, there was a clear crystal lying there.
“Sure enough.”
Professor Kyle snorted.
He took the crystal and then wiped the pocket knife before put it inside his pocket.
Professor Kyle walked towards the window and looked at the scenery outside. At this moment, he could see that there were several people who were screaming outside with the rain drowning their voices.
A giant mouse, or to be exact a giant rat was standing in front of these people.
They were trying to fight the giant rat and seemed to have been at disadvantages. After all, there were not many people who could bring weapon around everywhere.
“I see.”
Professor Kyle’s expression turned even colder.
He looked at his reflection on the window and noticed the compress on his forehead. Blinking his eyes, Professor Kyle touched it and peeled the compress off.
It was a familiar compress that sick people usually used.
But Professor Kyle felt strange.
The cold feeling should be this compress, but the question he had right now was how in the world that kitten knew he had fever and felt uncomfortable. How did she know that he needed compress?
A cat that could act human?
Professor Kyle turned around and looked at the cat on top of his bag.
He looked around the classroom and noticed that it was empty. If he was not wrong, there should be a student who fainted inside this classroom not long ago.
Where is she?
Professor Kyle looked at the bag and then at the door. He slowly walked towards the bag and took out the student’s ID that was left behind.
The student ID was still inside the classroom.
But the student herself disappeared?
The automatic door would only open if the student or teacher’s card was used. Since this student’s card was still here, it meant that the only way she could get out was either through the window or someone else took her.
The first option was simply impossible.
This was not the first floor.
Unless that student wanted to seek death, Professor Kyle highly doubted that she will jump out from this height.
Thus, the only option was that someone else brought her out.
Kidnapping?
Professor Kyle rubbed his forehead.
If that was the case, why did that person didn’t take him along?
How confusing.
Professor Kyle sighed and chose to put the messy thoughts away. He didn’t have the time to think about this matter right now because he knew very well that the most important thing for him to do right now was to get out of here as quickly as possible before the situation turned for the worst.𝘧𝑟𝘦𝒆w𝚎𝙗nov𝘦𝗹.𝐜o𝓶
