Chapter 8: Wake Up

Kate slowly walked away from the area and then looked at her body. Because she was still not used with this cat’s body, her control was naturally awkward. It would take a few hours before she could get used to be a cat.

‘The blood splashed to my back leg.’

Kate frowned.

She loved cleanliness and naturally felt dirty because of the blood.

However, she couldn’t even clean it herself.

Kate sighed.

‘I’ve turned into a useless cat. I really hope that Professor Kyle will at least help this small cat to survive.’

.....

If even Professor Kyle chose to abandon his cat, Kate really have no idea what she was supposed to do anymore.

Soon, Kate reached back to the place where Professor Kyle was located. She dumped the knife in her mouth near Professor Kyle’s bag.

Clang!

As for cleaning up?

Sorry, she couldn’t do it.

Kate feel a bit drowsy. After screaming loudly after realizing that she had turned into a kitten, Kate checked outside and dealt a blow to her mind. Afterwards, she was busy dealing with that large lizard.

Her mind and body was very tired.

This little kitten was still very young and the body was underdeveloped. Kate knew very well that what she did might have exceeded her stamina.

Kate looked at the water bottle at the side and used her front paw to pull it close. His face was still flushed, but it looked better. Her compress must have worked. She knew that he might be thirsty, so Kate unscrew the bottle carefully and then tilted the bottle towards him.

Thankfully, the bottle was not full.

The water dropped bit by bit towards Professor Kyle’s mouth under Kate’s careful guidance.

Still, his jaw was a bit wet....

Kate looked at her masterpiece and chose not to do anything. She screwed the bottle bag and then walked towards Professor Kyle’s bag.

She’s afraid of him.

But at the same time, he was the only person who could protect her now.

She couldn’t communicate well and asking other students to take care of her in this special period was simply crazy. They wouldn’t have the energy to care for a strange stray cat around them.

Thus, Kate could only place her hope to Professor Kyle.

At the very least, he’s her ‘owner.’

With that consoling thoughts in her mind, Kate fell asleep.

The classroom was quiet.

Only the occasional drizzle sound from outside could be heard. The rain didn’t show any sign of stopping and at this time, some people began to wake up along with the beasts.

Screams of terror began to spread.

Cries of grief mixed in between.

Inside the quiet classroom, Kyle slowly opened his eyes. He was not completely unconscious for the past hour, but he felt that his entire body was weak and that there was nothing he could do.

He could hear the sound of a cat meowing.

Kyle guessed that his little cat must have woken up and probably hungry.

But he couldn’t even help himself.

How could he help his little cat? 𝒇𝙧𝚎𝐞𝙬𝒆𝑏𝑛𝑜v𝚎𝒍.c𝑜m

Later on, he felt something cool on his forehead and felt confused. However, his mind was muddy, so he couldn’t see the one who took care of him. All he could see was the white fur that blocked his vision.

At that time, he felt that he was dreaming.

How could a cat take care of him?

The cat was still very young. He was only taking care of the cat temporarily because his father told him that he was too cold and that the cat belonged to his aunt gave birth not long ago. He was tasked to take care one of the kittens.

And this morning, the cat seemed to be sluggish.

He felt headache at how delicate this kitten was, but because of his father’s words, he still took the cat to the vet. The vet said that the cat was fine and just lack sleep. In the end, Kyle could only carry the kitten to the class he taught today.

Afterwards, Kyle heard the cat meowed a few times again.

He was really confused just what in the world is this cat doing, meowing from time to time.

In the end, he heard the sound of metal falling and really wanted to move to check. If not because his body didn’t respond and that he felt weak, Professor Kyle would have long turned his body to check the small cat.

Lastly, he felt that there was water dropping on his mouth.

Opening his eyes slightly, he could see the small kitten holding the bottle carefully. She was trying to make sure the water dropped to his mouth.

Unfortunately, the small kitten didn’t have much strength.

The water dropped to his jaw and to the ground.

It was a bit uncomfortable, but his thirst was quenched.

Afterwards, he kept on hovering between sober and dreamland. Finally, Professor Kyle could regain control of his body as the weakness feeling disappeared.
