Chapter 100: Chapter 100: Like Me, Okay?

Evangeline’s fingertips gently caressed Loras’s face. "Are you Loras?"

The jagged wound on her waist gnawed at her Contract Mark, yet she remained still.

"I am Nix." He raised his gaze to meet Evangeline’s, his deep violet eyes filled with a deathly stillness.

After a moment, his fingertips brushed over the hideous wound on Evangeline’s waist, smearing a trail of viscous blood. Suddenly, he smiled.

"This time, there’s no mistake..."

He pressed his forehead against Evangeline’s. The rich floral scent from his body mingled with the thick smell of blood, tangling in the space between their breaths. Even his voice, like that of a demon from hell, held a trace of gentleness.

"I am your Beast Husband."

Evangeline’s face was pale. Her lashes brushed against his eyes as she murmured, "Nix..."

’He’s even changed his name. It seems this really isn’t the same soul.’

Hearing the murmur that escaped her lips, Nix pressed his crimson mouth against hers, grinding against the corner of her lips. His voice was low and hoarse, almost trembling. "My... female master, why did you only come now?"

"You made me wait so long... my bones ache from it..."

The next instant, Nix swept Evangeline up into his arms and carried her deeper into the swamp.

The rotten, stinking mire bloomed with crimson ripples, as if paving a path for the demon.

Evangeline rested quietly on his shoulder, letting the intermingling scents of flowers, blood, and rot fill her lungs.

Her fingertips lightly traced the Red Fox Contract Mark on the side of his neck. It was ice-cold to the touch.

’The timid, cowardly One-star Patterned Beastman from before has become this madman of the Nine-star Extreme Realm.’

’Nix doesn’t recognize me. It’s as if he doesn’t remember that tragic past at all.’

’What on earth happened here?’

After Nix vanished into the depths of the swamp with Evangeline in his arms, a rustling sound came from the treetops.

Two gray-furred apes parted the leaves, quietly sighing in relief. Immediately after, a shriek rang out, startling Linden. He heard the younger beastman’s voice, on the verge of tears, "Our prey..."

Linden’s heart ached a little too, but he still offered comfort. "Alright, we’re lucky to have survived an encounter with the High Priest. Never mind the prey. These two Five-star Patterned Beast Cores are enough."

Thinking about it, the young beastman had to agree.

He muttered, "Linden, do you think My Lady Priestess and the High Priest... are they...?"

Linden slapped him on the head and said sternly, "Is that any of our business?"

Passing through the swamp and emerging from the last clump of reeds, the view suddenly opened up before them.

Evangeline stared at the scene before her, somewhat surprised. It was like stepping into The Peachblossom Vale.

A field of Moonlight Flowers swayed gently in the wind, but their buds were closed, like slumbering silver bells, emitting no fragrance.

Deep within the sea of flowers stood a small bamboo house.

This was the first true bamboo house Evangeline had seen since coming to the Beastman Continent. It was perfectly integrated with nature, every joint and connection showing the rhythm of natural growth, as if it were beyond human craft.

’But on second thought, Nix can control plants.’

Nix walked straight into the bamboo house and placed Evangeline on a bamboo bed covered with a snow-white beast skin. Watching the blood seeping from the wound on her waist blossom across the pelt, the curve of his crimson lips grew even more gentle.

His long, deep violet hair cascaded down, brushing against the white skin of her neck.

As the beast skin slid away, a slender body with a lean eight-pack was exposed to Evangeline’s eyes. Powerful muscles lay dormant beneath his pale skin, and her blood traced a winding path along his V-line.

It was only then that Evangeline’s mind caught up, and she understood what he was about to do.

She blinked. ’Are we getting to the good part this quickly??’

He leaned over her, his thin lips pressing against her trembling eyelids, then peppering her cheeks and neck with a flurry of kisses.

Nix’s hot breath lingered over the artery in her neck. His tongue swept out to lick her skin, and Evangeline could clearly feel the chilling sensation as his sharp teeth grazed her.

When his kisses finally landed below her collarbone, a cloyingly sweet fragrance began to permeate the entire bamboo house.

The wound at her waist ached to the point of numbness, yet the sensation intertwined with the touch of his lips and teeth, stirring up a tidal wave of shivers.

Pain and pleasure wove together madly at her nerve endings, throwing Evangeline’s thoughts into chaos. She arched her slender neck, and the whimper that escaped her throat sounded as if it were soaked in honey, enough to make one tremble.

The moment Nix possessed her completely, Evangeline’s blood-stained fingertips suddenly tangled tightly in his deep violet curls.

"Let’s have a cub that can blossom, shall we?" Her face was pale, but the end of her sentence was laced with a clear sweetness and lingering affection.

Nix’s deep violet pupils were half-hidden by his long lashes. Even at this moment of intimate connection, his skin remained as cold as jade, and his eyes were filled with a profound stillness, like the deepest night.

He suddenly squeezed the wound on her waist, looking down at her. "A cub?"

He smiled gently, but his eyes were cold and sinister. "What a pity..."

"I can’t produce a living thing that cries." He grabbed Evangeline’s trembling waist and abruptly flipped them over.

Evangeline was forced to straddle him. The pain in her waist made her brow twitch, and Nix’s violet pupils reflected her pained expression. His fingertips nearly dug into the flesh of her waist as his voice, a breathy whisper laced with a smile, asked, "Does it hurt?"

Blood dripped down the side of the bamboo bed, and the scent of blood grew stronger.

Evangeline looked down into Nix’s deathly still pupils and suddenly smiled.

A stunning color bloomed at the corners of her long, narrow eyes, like a strand of red silk—enchanting and dangerous.

Warm blood splattered, blossoming into an even more brilliant crimson, like a spider lily on the path to the underworld.

She leaned close to his ear, blew a gentle breath, and smeared the blood from her fingertips onto his crimson lips. "It doesn’t hurt."

Evangeline admired Nix’s face, her voice bewitching. "You are truly... beautiful."

The next instant, her cold fingers swept across Nix’s neck, and a line of blood bloomed in their wake.

Nix’s pupils contracted sharply. Through the almost suffocating pain, he caught the look of satisfaction in her eyes.

Evangeline lowered her gaze and, under his slightly stunned stare, dabbed some blood from his neck.

Nix’s blood was scarlet with a hint of green, like poisoned jade.

She chuckled softly, slowly and deliberately smearing the blood onto her own lips. The metallic scent spread as her pale lips were stained a breathtaking color. "Am I beautiful?"

Nix suddenly laughed, the vibration in his throat causing fine beads of blood to seep from the cut.

His deep, hoarse voice was steeped in manic delight. "Beautiful. Utterly beautiful..."

He abruptly seized Evangeline’s wrist and pressed her hand against his gushing wound. Staring at her face, his deep violet pupils reflected a twisted obsession. "You see? Even my blood boils for you."

Droplets of blood trickled down from his neck, pooling into a vibrant splash of color on his pale collarbone.

Evangeline’s smile grew even more radiant and bewitching, as if she were enjoying this bloody game.

"The way you tremble... it’s truly captivating." Like a sovereign, Evangeline gazed down at Nix, lost in the revelry of their intertwined pain and pleasure.

Blood soaked their bodies, like a morbid offering.

From dawn until dusk, the downpour ceased and the moon rose high. Outside the window, thousands upon thousands of Moonlight Flowers vied to bloom.

Evangeline leaned against the window, her blood-stained fingertips gently toying with a blooming Moonlight Flower just outside the lattice.

Mottled streaks of blood bloomed on her snow-white skin. The white and scarlet were interwoven, dotted with purple and blue bruises, as if crushed moonlight had been stained with dried blood—a shocking sight.

The night wind swept in, carrying the scent of flowers, but it couldn’t mask the thick smell of blood and the sticky, sweet-metallic tang in the room.

Nix lunged forward, pressing her fiercely against the bamboo window frame. He gripped her waist.

The moonlight cast their tangled silhouettes, making them look like two vines strangling each other.

Nix’s long fingers suddenly closed around Evangeline’s neck, forcing her to turn her head back. His scorching lips and tongue carried the scent of blood as they crushed down on hers, the force so great it was as if he wanted to devour her whole.

The moonlight shone on his androgynous face, illuminating the eerie gleam in his deep violet eyes.

He pried her teeth apart with near-brutal force, his tongue tangling with hers in an undeniable act of possession.

"Don’t love that weakling..."

"Love me instead, won’t you?"
