The Villainess Married The Evil CEO-Chapter 93: What Will I Get?
After a moment of freezing like that, he resumed his work as if he hadn’t heard a single word, but his face had turned colder at that point, making him look like he wanted to kill someone right now. The more Abigail watched him, the angrier she became. Thus, she turned around and looked at Asher.
"Fine. I’ll give him my first kiss right now."
"No, wait a minute..." Even Asher felt slightly horrified after hearing those words.
Sure, he liked that woman, but it didn’t mean he had wanted to kiss her just yet. First, he wanted to eliminate that damned contract before entering that realm.
He wasn’t the kind of man who went around kissing another person’s wives, that too a relative.
Thus, he stood up and said hurriedly, "Please, don’t involve me in your mess. Ah, I remember, I still have some work. So I’ll go..."
"Huh? Why? Where are you going?" Abigail felt even angrier after hearing those words as she glared at him. "Weren’t you the one who acted so obviously in front of me? Even a blind man can tell you have feelings for me. So please, don’t you dare to act all innocent."
She knew?!
Asher was even more shocked, seeing that her perception skills were higher than he had imagined. He was dumbfounded, unable to speak a single word as he stood there, frozen from head to toe.
Seeing his expression, Abigail felt even more courageous as she told her husband, "Look, even he admits it. When are you going to learn from him? Seriously, sometimes I feel like I’m handling the emotional issues of two big kids."
"...."
"...."
Nicholas took a deep breath to calm the bubbling anger that nearly burst through his chest and looked at his wife coldly. "If you dare, I’d do even worse. Are you ready for the consequences?"
"Then, will you help me?" Abigail looked at her husband, still a bit hopeful.
Nicholas looked at her for a while and placed his laptop on the table from his lap. Then he stood up and walked toward her. "If I helped you, what would I get?"
"What do you want?" Abigail suddenly felt her heart thumping in her chest after hearing those words. She had a bad feeling in her heart, but when she looked at her husband closing in on her, her heart started jumping like a rabbit in her chest, making her feel like she lost her breath.
She swallowed as she continued to stare at him. Then she suddenly saw the corners of his lips tilting up to form a mild smile that more felt like mocking. "I’ll continue to carry on this promise you made for later."
It meant that when the time came, he would surely ask her for something impossible and make her even more miserable.
Aiya, why did she have to mess with her husband?! She could have stayed silent and calmly asked for help from Asher. He was also a CEO, right? CEOs should be powerful enough to handle such a situation.
She really regretted her words right now.
"Now, give me the newspaper."
Abigail robotically handed him the paper in a dazed condition as she stared at him. But the next second, her anger sparked once again as she stared at him.
"You, who do you think you are?!"
"Your husband." Nicholas started typing on his computer, and after a while, he picked up his cell phone and called his assistant. "Yes, William, solve Anne’s situation. Yes, whatever it takes. I have emailed you the details."
Abigail’s shoulders relaxed as she suddenly remembered someone she had brought into her conversation in such an embarrassing manner. Thus, she turned around to apologize for her erratic behavior, only to find that the man himself had disappeared somewhere at some point. His seat was empty.
The corner of Abigail’s mouth twitched as she sighed and then shrugged.
Since he has disappeared, he might be too embarrassed to see her. Since she could do nothing right now, she should just go out and have fun!
Thankfully, before disappearing, Asher had ordered his bodyguard/driver to keep her company throughout the day. The driver was supposed to keep her company wherever she wanted to go and never let her stay away, even for a second.
Thus, she went out with the driver all day to roam around the city. Ultimately, she only ended up inside a mall, buying multiple top-branded clothes. Of course, she still had Nicholas’s black VIP credit card. So she wasn’t worried about money at all.
While purchasing things, she accidentally bumped into her close friend, Katherine. Of course, a close friend of her character, not her. To Abigail, this Katherine was still a stranger.
But still, she valued relationships. Thus, she always tried to treat the woman nicely. At this time, she had forgotten that her identity had changed.
So when they bumped into one another, she opened her mouth and blurted out, "What are you doing here?!"
She had expected her friend to be with William since they had such a sweet relationship. But instead, this young woman was still in this country, wandering about in a mall. For what?
Abigail looked curious.
Katherine, who merely wanted to visit another country for a change and get away from her sweet relationship for once, was stunned hearing that voice. She raised her head and frowned.
This blond woman sounded like Abigail, but she clearly wasn’t her. "Who are you?"
Abigail opened her mouth to explain things when the driver, who had also arrived with her, cleared his throat and said, "Ma’am Bennett, we are getting late."
Only now did Abigail realize that she had completely forgotten about her fake identity. She coughed awkwardly and said, "I thought I saw my friend. Sorry."
"Oh...." Katherine’s brows furrowed as she stared at the woman standing before her with a hint of suspicion in her eyes. "You also sound like my friend."
Abigail’s palms sweated as she remembered Asher’s warning. He said she shouldn’t tell anyone of her true identity, not even her mother-in-law. So, how could she continue to let her so-called friend know about it?
Thus, she lied, "Oh, you talking about Abigail? I’m her good friend from this city. She’s so cool! Thus, I was trying to mimic her voice. Did I become successful?"
Katherine’s shoulders relaxed as she laughed and said, "Not only her voice, but you also resemble the way she talks."
"Really?" Abigail mentally jotted down another thing she needed to change: how she talked.
