The Villainess Married The Evil CEO-Chapter 165: I’ll Sleep With You
Nicholas was stunned after hearing those words. He stared at her for a while as the corners of his lips pulled up without even realizing it.
Seeing his smile, Abigail froze as she stared at him. It wasn’t that he hadn’t smiled at her before, but even if he did, it wasn’t the kind he just made. The man looked easy and really satisfied with what she just said.
All of a sudden, Abigail’s cheeks turned red as she pursed her lips and averted her eyes, turning back to face the window. She coughed awkwardly and said, "L-Let’s go back."
"En." Nicholas had already reverted to his cold and indifferent form as he nodded and continued talking to William. Since they were going back, he had to talk more with the man along with how to deal with the police.
It took them a few hours to return. By this time, Abigail had already calmed down a lot. Even though she hated that Asher had to die, for her, saving her husband from a similar kind of death was more important.
After all, she couldn’t just let her husband die because of her, leaving her alone to face that dangerous enemy named Rebecca.
Of course, that wasn’t the only reason.
Abigail pursed her lips as she dragged her suitcase behind her. She stared at the back of her husband who looked attractive even while dragging his suitcase away.
She averted her eyes.
All she knew was that she couldn’t let him die. She had this lingering emotion in her heart that if he stayed alive with her, she would be fine, both mentally and emotionally.
When the two of them finally returned to the Harrison villa, Rosa was found standing there with tears in her eyes and a handkerchief to wipe them from the corner of her eyes. She immediately dragged Abigail into a hug and patted the woman’s back, crying softly.
"Abigail dear, I heard everything that has happened. Are you alright?"
Abigail opened her mouth and closed at the same time.
Was she alright?
Maybe not?
Maybe she was?
Even she didn’t know. Her mind had gone blank already as she thought of the dead body she had witnessed not too long ago. She took a trembling breath and let out a bitter smile. "Mom, what do you think?"
Rosa cried even more. Clearly, she was also affected by all of these things because Asher was like another son she had in her family. She loved him even more than Nicholas, but now that he was dead, she regretted sending them away.
It was preferable if she had them stay back here in this house itself just like before. But what was the point of regret? Things had already passed. Asher was already dead, and he wasn’t going to return.
As the two of them stood in the doorway, Nicholas finally arrived at that place and cleared his throat. "Women, move."
At this point, he sounded even more rude, especially to his mom. From Asher’s memories, he could clearly tell that she loved Asher and treated him better as compared to her own son. Unpleasant childhood memories flooded his mind because of that and his expressions turned unpleasant.
He looked at his mother who raised her tear-filled face and sniffed. "Son. Aren’t you sad?"
Nicholas sneered. Sad? He was feeling numb in his heart. Sure, his cousin had died, but should he feel distress even when he felt nothing? Why should he pose like those so-called socialists who clearly felt nothing but to make sure they weren’t left out, they faked a cry at such a moment.
He wasn’t that kind of a person, nor was he ever going to fake himself for social or any other reason. He didn’t feel a single thing when Asher died.
Sure, his face paled upon seeing a dead body, that too of a person he knows, but that was it. His emotions had passed already as he finally raised his brows at his mom and said, "Abigail is tired."
By this time, Abigail had already changed into a new outfit and removed her facemask, keeping it back in the kit. Since Nicholas had heard from Owen about it, he had already prepared their luggage to be packed. Thus, Abigail didn’t have to worry about anything when they returned.
Rosa also looked at his daughter-in-law’s haggard face and cried even more. "I’m sorry. I’m sorry. Let’s go inside."
Abigail pursed her lips and walked inside. Her bag was taken by the butler as she headed toward her room directly without turning back. Her emotions that she had thought had vanished returned with a burst as tears threatened to pour down her cheeks.
She hastily rushed upstairs as she sniffed and blinked rapidly, trying her best to curb her emotions.
Nicholas, who was staring at her from behind, pursed his lips. He felt uncomfortable in his heart seeing her condition, and he was almost close to hugging her into his arms right then and there. He didn’t know whether these were his emotions or Asher’s, but he felt that he would go insane if he ever let her go.
The trace of urgency in his heart grew rapidly as he took a deep breath and stepped further.
Not right now. She wasn’t feeling right. It would be too cruel for him to take advantage of her in this situation. It would almost make him look like a scum man.
He kept on repeating these words in his head as another thought whispered into his mind, "Aren’t you already?"
Nicholas’s steps paused as he looked at her. His brows furrowed even more.
His mind was right. He had already done enough things to her to be called a scum. So what was he waiting for? He should probably go all out and tease her back and blue to the point she would end up forgetting about Asher and rely completely on himself.
Thus, he rushed upstairs, and before she could even close the door to her room, he held the handle and looked at her with his eyebrows raised.
Abigail, who was ready to take a bath and close the door, was stunned when she noticed her husband standing close to her on the other side of the door. She opened her mouth and asked, "What do you want?"
Nicholas said nothing and dragged his bag inside without speaking another word. He even turned over and closed the door behind him, placing his bag on the ground as he looked at Abigail.
"I’ll be sleeping here from now on."
"Huh?!" Abigail looked at the man who forced his way inside.
Before today, she would have never imagined him to be an active kind who would burst into her room without her permission. Even if she was interested romantically in him before, she wasn’t in a mood right now. She was terribly sad to the point that all she wanted was to have a nice bath and lay on her bed to sleep.
But.... What the heck did Nicholas want with her?!
