The Villainess Married The Evil CEO-Chapter 155: Enjoy Your Last Days
Asher realized soon enough what he had done. Thankfully, no one noticed them hugging one another as everyone was busy watching Owen perform his next scene. He coughed and backed away, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly.
He could see the woman in front of him standing with a confused expression on her face, but how could he explain? He was ignored and even schemed against just because he sneaked a kiss from her cheeks. In exchange, he had to pay a hefty amount of money for that destruction.
Now that he even hugged her.... Asher’s body stiffened.
But more than that, his panicked and anxious expression also didn’t disappear. That feeling crowded his heart more than others. Thus, he grabbed her shoulders and asked, "Where were you? Don’t you know disappearing like that is dangerous?!"
Abigail felt a little warm in her heart. She chuckled and waved her hand as if dismissing his words, saying, "Why are you so worried?" She pointed her chin at Rebecca who was shooting with Owen right now. "If she wanted to do something, she would have definitely done it back in the washroom when we were all alone. But she didn’t."
"That’s even more of a reason why you should be careful!" Asher took a deep breath and said, "Stay away from her."
"Sure....?" Abigail tilted her head. "I know you’re worried about me, but why are you acting more like a bipolar? Shouldn’t I be the one getting more and more anxious?"
Before Asher could speak a single word, he heard the woman saying, "Let’s go and have something to eat. I’m on a break until they shoot their scenes. If everything goes well, I’ll shoot another scene, if not, we will go home later." When she saw the man was still standing there in a daze, she pushed him slightly, glaring at the man. "Let’s go!"
Asher finally came back to himself and nodded. He glanced at Rebecca, who was busy shooting a scene with the male lead and sighed.
Might as well get away from that girl for a while. It would be good for his mental and emotional health.
Thus, he grabbed the woman’s hand and took her away from that place, directly looking at the street and entering a restaurant closeby. When they finally booked a table for the two of them, he sat right across Abigail, relaxing his shoulders.
But he still couldn’t let go of his worries. It was almost as if his heart was silently giving him a terrible intuition that something worse was about to happen. But what?
Asher shook off his worries and smiled at Abigail. "What do you want to eat?"
Abigail didn’t notice his complicated emotions as she flipped through the menu, frowning. She didn’t know what to order, honestly. She wasn’t good at making decisions about these things.
Thus, she threw the menu at the man and said, "Order whatever you want."
Asher knew what she wanted. Thus, he smiled and took the menu from her hand, flipping the pages one after another. When he chose the dishes that he meant to order, he closed the file and called a waiter standing at the back.
"Bring these." He pointed at specific dishes on the menu and closed the file. "For two people."
The waiter nodded and walked away. Since Asher was pretty rich, he managed to book a private room to sit inside with Abigail. Thus, after ordering, he put his hand on his chin and stared at Abigail. His stare was so intense that soon, the woman who was playing on her phone felt tense in her heart.
Even though she didn’t look at him, she could still feel his gaze upon her. For the moment, she wanted to open her mouth and ask him directly why he was staring at her like this. It almost felt like a hungry lion staring at his own prey.
She endured for a while until she obviously couldn’t and finally raised her head, asking, "Why are you staring at me like this?!"
"Abigail." Asher looked at her, dazed slightly. "I had a dream."
"Dream?" Abigail mouthed that word, stunned a little by the change of topic. Why did this person want to talk about his dream? Was it that special? Or was Asher simply wanted to speak about it for the sake of it?
Looking at the woman utterly confused, Asher answered quickly, "Don’t be so worried. It was nothing."
It’s just that what he saw had himself and Abigail sitting inside a room. He was simply sitting there, listening, while the woman was the one who talked about random stuff, especially about her mom. Even Asher was confused about this dream.
And what was more bewildering was that he actually managed to remember this dream when, in usual cases, he would forget about it quickly.
But it was, in the end, just a dream. Thus, Asher didn’t think much about it, and by the time he woke up and freshened up, he had already forgotten a lot of details about it. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮
Huh, why was he suddenly remembering that dream of his?
Asher shook his head and motioned the girl to smile the moment the waiter came with several dishes. "Let’s eat."
Abigail also shrugged off her worries and started eating her food, which seemed too delicious. Her eyes widened as she looked at the man with her mouth full of food. "It’s delicious! What’s the name of this dish?"
Asher thought of the complicated name of that dish as the corners of his lips tucked up. "You really want to know? I bet you won’t be able to even pronounce it."
"Why not give it a try?" Abigail suddenly felt like she should challenge him a bit.
"Cassoulet."
"Cas... what?" Abigail looked at the man in a dazed condition as if wondering what the hell was that dish.
The corners of Asher’s lips curved up as he leaned back and picked up his spoon. "I’m not going to speak about it out again, but it’s a famous french dish, but right now, what we are eating is its vegetarian equivalent. Enjoy."
On the other side, Rebecca, who was finally done with one of her scenes, drank water from the bottle given to her by her assistant. She raised her head and looked in the direction of the restaurant where both of them were having food.
The corners of her lips curved up as she leaned back on the chair she was sitting on. "Enjoy your last days, Mr. Asher."
