The Villainess Married The Evil CEO-Chapter 154: Falling Into His Arms~
While Asher was having a terrible moment with Rebecca, Abigail had gotten ready to perform. In the previous scene, she had already run outside the room where Lily was being treated by her doctor.
Now, all she had to do was bump into Owen while running down the corridor and fall into his arms.
It’s fine. Wasn’t it only bumping into him? It should be fine. She can do this!
Abigail took a deep breath and stood inside the room which was devoid of stars and only cameramen and other staff members stood, facing the door.
Susan looked at the screen on her side and finally felt satisfied with the arrangement. Then she spoke into her microphone, "Ready? And action!"
Abigail made a run outside in a similar manner and dashed into the corridor. In her heart, she kept repeating again and again to herself.
"I’m Lily. I’m Lily. I’m Lily...."
She kept chanting again and again with her head lowered, showing an angry yet distressed expression on her face. All of a sudden, she bumped into someone as an arm directly encircled her waist.
A gentle voice echoed into her ears, "Careful."
Abigail was truly shocked at the moment hearing that tone. It was Owen, alright. She hadn’t seen him romantically before because of several reasons. She was only thinking of him as a very attractive person who looked somewhat like her own first love.
But right now, that voice sent a tremor into her heart, making it thump again and again in her chest. Her eyes widened slightly as she raised her head and looked at him.
At this moment, Owen looked down at her with a warm and gentle expression on his face as he seemed like he was a heavenly official who had descended directly from the heavens. His entire being glowed as she continued to stare.
"And cut!"
Abigail blinked as she finally got out of her dazed state. The next second, she realized what had happened as she instantly jumped up and muttered, "Sorry."
Owen didn’t mind. He could see through the changes in her emotions as he sighed.
What a headache! Another patient of his was falling for him. No, there was a bigger headache in his life. Other times, he would remain cold and indifferent to his female patients’ advances and would only treat them professionally, keeping his distance.
But right now, he couldn’t. In fact, he desired to get closer to her from the bottom of his heart.
Owen frowned and rubbed the bridge of his nose. It would be harder and harder for him this to deal with this emotion. Thankfully, there weren’t any major romantic scenes between them, otherwise, he would have already said goodbye to his cousin no matter what!
Abigail didn’t see that trace of complicated emotion on the man’s face. She was really glad that the scene passed without any NG.
Even Susan came forward and patted her shoulders, saying, "Good work. Your expression was right on point, and you really did look like you fell in love with him at first glance."
Abigail’s face turned dark as she heard those words. The corner of her mouth couldn’t help but twitch a bit as she nodded. "Thanks."
She didn’t have any desire to talk to this woman at all!
How embarrassing! She wasn’t acting, but her emotions were true to the point of looking like an enchanted Lily from the movie!
Ugh, what a mess! She couldn’t look at Owen anymore. Being her psychiatrist, he would definitely know that those were her real emotions! Damn it, could she not be so obvious?!
But she still took a deep breath. That was the only ’romantic’ scene between them after that, she would turn into Lily, who was utterly dark and jealous to the point that she wouldn’t let even her doctor go because of her love interest.
Of course, Susan added this small thing only because she probably wanted to fill up the loophole in the story, and it did make the movie interesting. But...
Ah, why did Abigail have to feel like that?!
It’s fine. It will probably go away with time.
After thinking about it, Abigail sighed and patted her chest to calm her heartbeat. She walked over and sat on a chair, taking her phone. She glanced at her feeds in an attempt to calm down.
But before she could, she got a text.
"Meet me after the shoot."
That was Owen’s message. It was so sudden that her phone slipped through her fingers and tumbled to the ground with a thud. It was good that no one noticed her clumsiness and even Asher didn’t seem to be around her. Otherwise, he would be the first one to take her phone and see through her strangeness.
Oh yeah, where the heck did he go?
She looked around, but he was still nowhere to be found. Then she shrugged and thought he must have gone to the washroom.
Actually, Asher was right there, standing on the other side. His brows were still furrowed, and he was still confused about how to solve this situation with Rebecca. That woman was a pain in the *ss! She was too arrogant as if she would really be able to kill him.
Asher scoffed as he crossed his arms on his chest.
But on second thoughts, if something really did happen to himself because of that woman, what would Abigail do? 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
He raised his head and finally looked for the woman. When he failed to find her on the set, his heartbeat quickened. He felt his heart dumping to the bottom upon witnessing the fact that she was missing.
Just when he was about to panic, he felt someone patting the back of his shoulder as he heard, "Asher! Where did you go?"
It was Abigail.
Asher’s shoulders relaxed slightly as he turned around and hugged her in an instant, making Abigail’s entire body stiffen. Her eyes widened as she stood there, dumbfounded.
What just happened? How come she was being hugged by this person all of a sudden?
No, don’t do this!
Abigail panicked in her heart. What to do? Her heartbeat quickened for the second time today for another young man!
