The Villain Mom Awakens — Going Viral by Parenting on a Reality Show-Chapter 371 - 370: Why Do You Have Her Perfume Scent on You?
"Why shouldn’t I barge in? This is your office, and I’m your fiancée. Isn’t it my right to be here?" Jenna Shaw clenched her fists tightly, a bitter smile on her face. "I’m almost glad I came today. Otherwise, I would have missed this wonderful, intimate scene. And I would have been kept in the dark forever!"
The situation was tense. Walter Ford left Crystal Bishop’s side and walked over. "Calm down and let me explain. I was just discussing the acquisition with her. This is just normal work. Can you please stop being so paranoid? You’re always trying to control me like this. Do you have any idea how suffocating it is?"
"Suffocating..." Jenna Shaw murmured that word, her body trembling with rage. "Back in school, I bought you breakfast and brought you medicine. When you were sick, I carried you on my back to the nurse’s office. After we started dating, I deferred to you in everything, went along with whatever you wanted. After all that, you have the nerve to tell me you feel suffocated?"
Walter Ford recalled their past together, and his expression softened slightly. "Alright, I know you love me. My attitude just now was out of line. I was just upset you didn’t trust me. We’re about to get married. Let’s not fight anymore, Jenna."
His gentle attempt to make peace seemed to transport Jenna Shaw back to her youth, to the year her heart first skipped a beat for him. But then her gaze fell on Crystal Bishop, who stood to the side with her head lowered, looking utterly wronged. All at once, nothing but fury remained in Jenna’s mind.
She silently sized up Crystal Bishop. A fair, delicate face, but her body was all curves. When she looked up, her eyes always held a mix of fear and innocence, like a little deer.
Bitterness welled up in Jenna Shaw’s heart. She pointed at Crystal Bishop. "So this is your type, isn’t it? You were always telling me to grow my hair long and wear skirts. Is this why? Were you just trying to humiliate me?"
Crystal Bishop looked up in surprise, glanced at Walter Ford in disbelief, then quickly lowered her head again to hide the joy bubbling up inside her.
Walter Ford froze for a moment. "No..."
Jenna Shaw let out a cold laugh. She suddenly strode forward, grabbed Walter Ford’s tie, and lowered her head to sniff at him.
Walter Ford looked around uncomfortably. He hadn’t expected Jenna Shaw’s sudden intimate gesture. It made him feel awkward, but he forced himself to endure it.
’Jenna Shaw had never gotten this close to him before. Compared to his past girlfriends, Jenna was more than just clueless about romance; she was bold, brash, and had no romantic sense. She was like a loyal puppy, working tirelessly without complaint until she was covered in dust, knowing only how to give and give. That wasn’t a bad thing, but she wasn’t his ideal type. He only liked hot, feminine women.’
"Ms. Shaw..." Crystal Bishop couldn’t help but speak up, a look of pained restraint in her eyes.
The next second, Jenna Shaw let go of his tie and walked toward Crystal Bishop. As Crystal watched in terror, Jenna leaned down and sniffed at her neck.
"Jenna, what are you doing..." Walter Ford said, walking over.
Jenna Shaw released her hold on Crystal Bishop. When she turned her head, her eyes were already misty.
"Tell me, why do you smell like her perfume? And don’t tell me it was for work. What kind of work requires you to be pressed up against each other all the time?!"
Walter Ford lifted the lapel of his jacket and sniffed it. His expression changed slightly.
"I saw everything. She was about to kiss you. If I hadn’t stopped it, you two would be all over each other right now, wouldn’t you?"
Walter Ford paused for a moment before saying, "That’s not what happened. It was a matter of perspective. There’s nothing going on between us. We’re just a normal supervisor and subordinate."
"A normal supervisor and subordinate relationship?" Jenna Shaw laughed, infuriated by his unrepentant excuses. She turned to look at the person who had tried to block her from entering the office earlier—Walter Ford’s assistant.
She walked up to him. The man had refined features and looked very young. Seemingly aware that he had done something wrong, he just kept his head slightly bowed.
"Do normal supervisors and subordinates get this close? Do they kiss?" With that, she grabbed the man’s arm and leaned her head in close.
The assistant seemed stunned, his eyes wide and unresponsive.
Jenna Shaw didn’t actually kiss him. She wasn’t as shameless and dissolute as Walter Ford.
From a distance, it looked like they were extremely close, as if they were about to kiss. The instant their skin was about to touch, Walter Ford strode forward, yanked Jenna Shaw away, and roared, "Are you crazy, Jenna Shaw?! Are you a psycho?! What is wrong with you?!"
Jenna Shaw had rarely seen Walter Ford so furious and foul-mouthed. She guessed that her act of "cheating" on him right in front of his face had wounded his pride.
’Her sister-in-law had told her to be rational. She couldn’t lie to herself anymore. The truth was right in front of her. She couldn’t keep caring about a scumbag.’
Even with that thought, Jenna Shaw still felt her eyes begin to sting.
’This was the man she had loved for so many years. She had viewed him through such rose-colored glasses. Why did he still manage to reveal such a disgusting side of himself?’
Walter Ford’s eyes were red with anger, his chest heaving slightly.
"So you do know what it’s like to have something wrong with you, huh?!" Jenna Shaw retorted, then slapped Walter Ford right across the face.
Jenna Shaw had studied martial arts since she was a child, and her strength was far greater than an average person’s. The slap sent Walter Ford stumbling back a step. A bright red handprint instantly appeared on his pale skin, and he coughed lightly as blood trickled from his nose.
Crystal Bishop cried out Walter Ford’s name in concern, rushing over with a handkerchief to wipe his cheek. She complained pitifully, "Ms. Shaw, how can you be so violent? How could you hit him so hard? Walt— Mr. Ford has a nosebleed..."
"And you..." Jenna Shaw raised her hand and slapped Crystal Bishop, too. She didn’t hold back, and the force of the blow sent Crystal bursting into tears, shrinking into Walter Ford’s arms and sobbing.
Walter Ford looked at Jenna Shaw in disbelief. "She’s such a delicate girl. How could you bring yourself to hit her..."
"If you could bring yourself to lay your hands on her, why couldn’t I?"
The sarcasm in her words made Walter Ford freeze. He said impatiently, "It was a misunderstanding. You’ve already slapped me and let off some steam. Can we just drop it now?"
"A misunderstanding? You dare claim your relationship is normal?"
Walter Ford was about to speak, but Jenna Shaw cut him off. "I don’t want to hear your pack of lies." She leaned in and asked Crystal Bishop, her face cold, "You tell me. What is your relationship with Walter Ford?"
Crystal Bishop’s expression froze. She glanced hopefully at Walter Ford, but when she saw his icy expression, she answered dejectedly, "We’re just a normal supervisor and subordinate."
Jenna Shaw stared at her. "Really? I’m guessing you two are already an official couple, right? How about this: you tell me your real relationship, and I’ll break off the engagement so you two can fly off into the sunset together. You must be tired of having a secret affair that can’t see the light of day, right?"
Walter Ford frowned. "That’s enough. You’ve already hit people. How long are you going to keep this up?!"
