The Villain Mom Awakens — Going Viral by Parenting on a Reality Show-Chapter 291: A Real-life Overbearing President
This man was much younger than the two previous special guests. He wore a cream-colored casual outfit and a baseball cap, looking sunny and handsome.
"Honey, Carina..." he called out with a smile, unable to hide the excitement on his face.
This was Margaret Jennings’s husband, Miles Sanders. He came from a non-celebrity background; his family was in the hotel chain business and was very well-off, though his income was nothing compared to Margaret Jennings’s.
Margaret Jennings and Miles Sanders were in a relationship where she was the older partner. At the time, Margaret was at the peak of her popularity in the entertainment industry. When the news broke, many fans urged her to be cautious and not get scammed out of her money and affection. Despite the immense public pressure, Margaret insisted on marrying Miles. In their second year of marriage, they had the fruit of their love. Several years had passed, and the two remained as loving as ever, earning the blessings of many netizens.
Miles Sanders set down his suitcase and opened his arms. Carina Sanders had already thrown herself into his embrace. "Daddy..."
Miles dotingly stroked her head and pulled a palm-sized doll from his pocket. "Daddy didn’t forget to bring a present for his baby Carina."
"The crocodile is cute, but Carina likes teddy bears more."
"Okay, I’ll bring a teddy bear next time," he said with a smile, the very picture of a doting father.
Margaret Jennings, who had shed tears during the touching scene just moments before, now found all her emotions turning into happy surprise upon seeing Miles. "What are you doing here...?"
Miles took her hand, first leaning down to wipe away her tears. "I saw you crying from the back just now. Don’t cry, honey."
Miles led Margaret and Carina over to the group, not forgetting to introduce himself. "Hello everyone. I’m Miles Sanders. It’s a pleasure to meet you all."
[This couple is a great match too! An older woman with a younger man is the GOAT!]
[Hahaha, I’ve been shipping this couple for ages! Before she joined this show, Best Actress Jennings was always very protective of her family’s privacy. I never thought I’d see this family together again. My youth is back!]
[Just like Director Preston and her husband, this couple gives me the feeling that they’re mutually supportive and deeply in love.] 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
[So incredibly jealous. Carina is truly growing up surrounded by love!]
[I can’t believe the special guests are the kids’ fathers. What a huge surprise. Who’s next?]
[Right now, only Nina’s and Chelsea Raines’s husbands haven’t shown up yet. Both of them are really good at keeping things under wraps. We’ve never seen their husbands before. Nina’s husband made an appearance once but wore a mask, and we haven’t even seen a shadow of Chelsea Raines’s husband!]
[They’re all so mysterious. No wonder they’re saving them for the grand finale.]
[If Nina’s husband comes, he’s not going to be wearing a mask again, is he?]
[Chelsea Raines said her husband spoils her rotten and is a real-life domineering CEO. I’m kind of looking forward to it.]
[Ian is so cute, I have to see how incredible his dad looks!]
...
Watching all this, Chelsea Raines said, "That’s three families already. They’re not going to invite all the kids’ fathers, are they?"
The words had barely left her mouth when a boisterous noise erupted. "Why can’t my bodyguards come in? I have several bodyguards with me wherever I go! What kind of trashy show is this? Look at this huge suitcase, how am I supposed to move it?!"
His tone was brutish, full of a bossy arrogance.
His voice arrived before he did. A couple of seconds later, a short, stout figure appeared, struggling to drag a suitcase. He was pot-bellied, his face slick with sweat. He wore a designer suit and a valuable gold watch on his wrist.
The suitcase got stuck on the threshold, and a cameraman stepped forward to help him lift it.
"You should probably get more exercise," the cameraman joked with a smile.
The man’s face darkened. "Only poor schmucks like you need to carry your own things. If I weren’t on this show, I wouldn’t be in such a pathetic state..."
The cameraman frowned, taking an instant dislike to the man.
Chelsea Raines stood up, staring at him in disbelief. A storm of complicated emotions crossed her face before she ran over with her son.
"Dad!"
Jared Woods was the spitting image of the man; the father-son relationship was obvious. This was Chelsea Raines’s husband, Gene Woods, a second-generation heir who owned several companies.
"Aww, my good boy. You’ve gotten a little chubbier. Hahaha, not bad," Gene Woods said with satisfaction, patting Jared Woods’s head.
Jared Woods asked, "Dad, what are you doing here? Aren’t you really busy?"
"I heard from the production team that the other dads were coming. Dad couldn’t let you lose face!"
Jared Woods nodded. "Dad, I’m so happy you’re here."
A genuine smile touched Gene Woods’s face as he struggled to lift his suitcase. It was packed with things, including more than ten of his gold watches, making it incredibly heavy. He had brought three bodyguards with him this time, so lifting luggage was naturally a non-issue, but now that they weren’t by his side, hauling the weighty case was a real effort.
His eyes flicked to a stunned Chelsea Raines standing nearby, and he snapped, "What are you gawking at? Did you think I was putting on a show for you? Can’t you see I can’t carry this?"
Chelsea Raines snapped out of it and hurried forward. She looked at Gene Woods’s greasy face with a hint of disgust. "Why did you come without discussing it with me? This is so sudden."
"I had some free time. Besides, I couldn’t let you and my son lose face."
’This is really strange,’ Chelsea Raines thought. ’Usually, Gene is so busy getting hot and heavy with his mistresses that he rarely ever comes home.’
"Why are you spacing out again?" Gene’s dissatisfied voice cut in.
Jared Woods spoke up for her. "My mom is just a little silly."
Chelsea Raines took the suitcase, leaning in to whisper a reminder in Gene’s ear. "We’re on a live broadcast right now. You need to watch what you say."
Gene Woods snorted. "I don’t care for your phony games!"
Chelsea Raines struggled to drag the suitcase over. "What did you put in here? Why is it so heavy?"
"A lot of things. Stop nagging."
Gene Woods strode forward and sat down, completely unwilling to waste his breath on the other guests. He was rich and had always looked down on these entertainment industry stars who got by on their looks. Chelsea Raines was an exception.
[This is Chelsea Raines’s real-life domineering CEO husband? My worldview has been shattered.]
[He seems pretty real to me. You say domineering? He ordered Chelsea to carry his suitcase without a second thought. You say CEO? Look at that gold watch on his wrist, it’s thicker than a bowl. He’s definitely rich!]
[Taken separately, the descriptions fit. But put them together, and it’s a completely different picture.]
[The people in this stream are so shallow. Do you only judge people by their looks?]
[Seeing this couple, I’m suddenly at a loss for words. When it comes to relationships, only the wearer knows where the shoe pinches. Chelsea said her husband is good to her, so maybe he really is, but I for one can’t see how.]
