The Villain Mom Awakens — Going Viral by Parenting on a Reality Show-Chapter 173: Watch Out for Those Siblings
As Chloe Murray’s return drew near, Naomi Kenway prepared many gifts for her, knowing her tastes perfectly. Chloe loved cute, quirky crafts and sweet little desserts.
Ian Shaw kept Naomi Kenway company as she bustled about in the baking room. He had a great memory and could recall any technique she mentioned after hearing it just once. Still, Naomi only dared let him hand her things, terrified he might get burned by the oven or other baking tools.
"Mom, are all these for Aunt Kara?"
"Yes, they are." Naomi Kenway smiled, stroking Ian’s head. "Ian, do you remember what Aunt Kara looks like?"
Ian thought hard for a moment, his round little face scrunching up. "I can’t really remember..."
"You were very young when Aunt Kara went abroad, so it’s normal that you can’t remember. You’ll be able to remember what she looks like after she returns this time."

The plane arrived on time. Amid the airport’s hustle and bustle, a tall figure stood out. She was dressed casually, strands of wavy hair tucked lazily behind her ears. Her smile was carefree, and a stud on her thin upper lip added a sexy, audacious flair.
Her free-spirited air and striking looks quickly drew the attention of everyone there.
Although Naomi Kenway and Ian were bundled up securely, Chloe Murray recognized them at first glance. A smile instantly spread across her face as she threw her arms up, waved, and ran over to pull Naomi into a fierce hug.
"Long time no see, my darling." Her voice was as warm and effusive as ever.
The embrace was warm and long-overdue, stirring a flood of memories in Naomi Kenway’s mind.
Naomi Kenway chuckled and gently pushed her back, looking her up and down. "You look great. Haven’t lost any weight."
Chloe Murray raised an eyebrow smugly. "You know it. I was living the good life out there, totally free and happy."
Her gaze then shifted to the little dumpling whose hand Naomi was holding. He bore some resemblance to Naomi, with a fair, tender face. His big, bright eyes, like black grapes, stared right at her, and his expression seemed a little unhappy. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞
Chloe Murray followed his gaze down to her own arm, linked intimately with Naomi Kenway’s.
She tentatively let go. Sure enough, the little rascal’s gloomy expression instantly brightened. Inwardly delighted, she draped her arm back over Naomi’s. Unsurprisingly, the little rascal’s face soured once more.
Ian walked over, his voice full of grievance. "She’s my mommy."
"Ian?" Chloe Murray bent down. "Hey, kid, do you know who I am?"
"A weird uncle," Ian answered without hesitation, reaching out with his little hand to pry Chloe’s off. But his strength was no match for an adult’s.
Hearing this, Chloe Murray burst out laughing. "You’ve got terrible eyes, you little rascal."
Naomi Kenway couldn’t help but laugh too, making the introduction. "Ian, this is your Aunt Kara."
"Auntie..."
Chloe Murray grinned. "Is your aunt cool or what?"
Ian nodded, then immediately pressed himself close to Naomi Kenway’s side again.
"Is your kid always this clingy?"
"He is a bit."
Naomi Kenway noticed there were no bodyguards behind Chloe. "You came back alone?"
"Yep." Chloe Murray effortlessly hoisted two huge suitcases and started leading Naomi toward the exit. "Let’s go grab a meal in a bit."
Once outside, she pulled out her phone and glanced down. "Strange. Why isn’t anyone from the Murray Family here yet? Didn’t I tell them to come get my luggage and take it home first?"
"I drove. I can take you home to get settled first."
Chloe Murray waved her hand, declining. "I couldn’t possibly trouble you. It’s fine, they can just come here."
Just as she said that, a car pulled up. A young man got out first. He wore an ill-fitting suit and looked timid and cautious.
"Sis... Young Miss, welcome back. I’ll load your suitcases into the car right now."
After he was done, he came over to say goodbye to Chloe. But when he looked at Naomi at her side, he seemed unsure how to address her. "And this is..."
"Who she is is none of your business," Chloe said, her voice dripping with annoyance.
"S-Sorry..." The man flinched, then got in the car and drove off.
Chloe Murray let out a cold snort, as if she had just seen something utterly disgusting.
"Babe, where should we go eat?" She turned her head, only to find Naomi’s gaze fixed on the departing car.
"What’s wrong? What’s so interesting about him?"
Naomi’s expression turned grave. She asked tentatively, "Was that Martin Murray? And he has a sister named Evan Murray?"
"Yeah, that’s them. That pair of illegitimate siblings I despise. My mom’s kind enough to let my dad bring his outside children home, but I don’t share her compassionate heart. The sight of those two irritates me. They’d better know their place and stay out of my way at home."
Chloe asked, "Why are you suddenly asking about them? I remember you never used to give them the time of day."
Naomi snapped back to reality and instinctively tightened her grip on Chloe’s hand, her voice trembling slightly. "You have to be careful of those two. You need to find a way to drive them out."
’I’ve seen Chloe’s future, and it was hardly any better than my own fate. The illegitimate siblings would maliciously inject her with drugs, ruining her reputation, before murdering her in a premeditated car accident. All of the Murray Family’s assets were then inherited by those two, while Mrs. Murray suffered a complete mental breakdown from the trauma. Chloe died a year before I did. And Evan Murray... she was the second female lead in the book, the best friend of the protagonist, Renee Jennings. They had known each other since childhood and had promised to reach the peak of success together.’
Chloe subconsciously pursed her lips. She was confused but still found the idea amusing. "Be careful of them? That pair is as timid as mice. They only do entry-level work at the company. What threat could they possibly pose to me?"
’She thought back to how timid Martin Murray had been just moments ago, not even daring to breathe loudly in front of Chloe. Who could have guessed that he and his sister were venomous snakes that had been lying in wait for a long time, plotting to seize the Murray family fortune?’
Naomi looked at Chloe seriously. "I’ve heard from some of the other wives that Evan and Martin Murray are completely different people when they’re out and about. They’re not at all like what you just saw. I suspect they’re deliberately putting on an act to lower your guard. You absolutely have to be careful."
Chloe’s brow furrowed slightly.
"Remember on their coming-of-age ceremony? Aunt Murray gave them two choices: two properties, or a chance to join the company. They chose the latter, didn’t they? With that in mind, do you still think they’re cowards with no ambition?"
Chloe sucked in a sharp breath. "You’re right." She looked at Naomi, her expression serious. "Don’t worry, Nina. I’ll be careful of them. As for kicking them out... you know how my dad protects them. And my grandpa dotes on Martin, his only grandson. So... just give me some time."
Seeing that she had finally raised Chloe’s guard, Naomi breathed a sigh of relief. Her objective was finally accomplished.
