The Unveiling of Secret Queen-Chapter 235: Stealing the Spotlight - Part 1
Zayn Fisher and Mrs. Fisher were the first to get out of the car.
Today, Zayn dressed quite formally in a shirt and suit. With his handsome features, stepping out of the luxury car, he resembled the male lead in a romance TV series.
It was enough to make onlookers envious.
"Zayn," Ghania Quinlan saw him, her cheeks blushing with a shy red, as she immediately called his name softly. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
As soon as Zayn got out of the car, he saw her. Ghania was dressed exceptionally today, the most eye-catching presence in the group of people.
As her boyfriend, he felt proud, just about to go to her. Mrs. Fisher, by his side, subtly grabbed him and gave him a stern look.
"Remember your manners in public. The Quinlans have invited reporters."
Zayn’s brows knotted elegantly, about to say, what does it matter if there were reporters.
But facing his mother’s tense expression, he swallowed back his words.
He had persuaded her for several days, saying Ghania won a prize, saying the Quinlan family would go all out today, they would invite many people, like so and so, barely managing to convince her to come. He feared that if he talked back now, his own mother wouldn’t leave Ghania any face and would storm off on the spot.
So he could only suppress his feelings. When he finally reached Ghania, he said, "Ghania, happy birthday."
"Thank you, Zayn," Ghania said, with eyes full of emotion, looking up straight at him.
Seeing her delicate, lovely face, Zayn couldn’t resist and gave her the gift he had bought without his mother’s knowledge.
"Your eighteenth birthday gift."
Mrs. Fisher’s face color slightly changed.
He had bought Ghania a gift behind her back?
But Jeff Quinlan and the others had already come over to greet her, and despite having a belly full of anger and annoyance at Zayn’s apparent compliance and secret disobedience, she had to silently tolerate it.
However, it was apparent to everyone that her face color looked extremely unpleasant.
Ghania opened the gift, found a heart-shaped diamond bracelet inside, and couldn’t hide her surprised expression. She took the gift out on the spot, her eyes welling up with tears of excitement, "I love this gift so much, Zayn. Thank you."
Zayn had casually bought a gift, but seeing how much she liked it, he felt a mix of guilt and emotion. He reached out to wipe away the tear stains from the corner of her eyes, whispering, "What are you saying, silly girl? If you like it, I will buy you one every year."
Ghania sobbed, her eyes red, seemingly moved beyond words as she wiped the corner of her eyes and nodded like a pecking chicken.
"Yes!"
This scene, with a handsome man and a beautiful woman both in formal wear, had all the makings of a movie.
"So envious, that’s someone else’s boyfriend for you."
At that moment.
The passengers from the second car also got out.
It was Adelia Tucker.
Adelia Tucker, still in her signature Tang costume, its collar button design highlighting her extreme grace and elegance. Around her neck, Jadeite Agate beads, round and lustrous, further accentuated her distinguished aura.
The reporters began to stir.
"Wow, Adelia Tucker!"
"Not only is Lanita here today, but Adelia Tucker actually came too. Ghania Quinlan, so young and yet her family’s connections are so widespread, even Adelia Tucker gives her face."
"I heard her grandma is handkerchief friends with Adelia Tucker."
"Such good fortune."
As they were talking, Cindy Lawrence took Ghania over, beaming as she greeted Adelia Tucker, "You’ve come? I appreciate it. I heard you were sick recently, yet you still made the trip for Ghania..."
Ghania also obediently called out, "Grandma Tucker."
Adelia Tucker’s eyes shadowed slightly at the mention of her illness, but being the old fox that she was, she managed to act as if nothing had happened, "It was just a little illness."
