Joanna lifted her eyes. She took one look at the girl and went back to her work.

"Miss Pierce, you’ve been working so hard. Why not have a cup of coffee and rest for a while."

Shelley obediently placed the coffee next to Joanna, hoping that Joanna would stop to chat with her for a bit to satisfy her curiosity.

"If you have something to say, say it."

"Oh, it’s nothing. I was just worried that you would overwork yourself so I came in to persuade you to take a short rest."

Joanna saw through Shelley’s intention immediately. She smiled wryly, "You want to ask me about Ace Moran, don’t you?"

"That’s right! Did you have a great time yesterday? Have you conquered him? Is that why you said we have a good chance of collaborating with the Moran Group during the meeting? Aren’t you grateful to me?"
