Chapter 832: Chapter 832: Don’t Lock the Door Anymore, I Have a Key

Delphine locked the door behind her, then leaned against the wall, panting as she walked to the floor-to-ceiling window and looked out at the scenery. Sure enough, the towering green mountains and lush trees stretched before her. The sky had not completely darkened yet, but there wasn’t a single light visible from any home. This place truly was isolated from the world.

The room was huge, styled in a traditional Japanese manner, crafted entirely of wood with minimal furnishings. Apart from a very large bed, Delphine glanced around and couldn’t find any phone or computer, any means of communication.

She went into the bathroom to freshen up, and soon heard the man’s deep voice outside the door: "Delphine, open the door."

Delphine snorted coldly and ignored him. Perhaps due to not skimping on space in the mountains, the bathroom was also very large, with a wide view styled in Japanese fashion. Outside the sliding doors was an open-air balcony, its doors were also locked. Delphine gazed into the distance, and vaguely discerned the large balcony, complete with flowers, tables, and chairs.

She casually picked up a book from the flower table, but before she could open it, the man came in, his expression somewhat fluctuating as he looked at her. He saw her standing by the sliding door reading and, without a word, picked her up and carried her to the bedroom.

Delphine glanced at the steaming coffee, lowered her eyes to flip through the book taken from the bathroom, and said indifferently: "It brews too slow; I don’t want it."

Her voice was soft and weak, lacking its usual indifference.

Seeing this, Ignatius Leclair narrowed his eyes slightly, picked up the freshly brewed coffee, and took a sip. It was made to her taste, with two portions of sugar added, a bit sweet. He finally realized from whom Benjamin inherited his love for sweets.

"Too sweet," the man said in a low voice.

Delphine had been listening closely to his movements, judging whether her actions were enough. Upon hearing this, she raised her eyes and was promptly kissed by the man. His tongue was nimble, and the slightly bitter coffee flavor was entirely transferred to her mouth.

Delphine tasted the coffee, slightly bitter yet sweet, coupled with the man’s excellent kissing skill, leaving her breathless.

Ignatius Leclair released her, then leisurely said, "Don’t lock the door again, I have a key."

Delphine: "..."

She turned her head, looking at the book in her hand, which was a bound album filled with beautiful images of various spatial designs. Not limited to architecture, there were also floral arrangements and artistic creations. Delphine had been casually flipping through until she became captivated by just the first two pages.

"The images in this album were all created by my mother when she was alive. Every one is a real photograph," Ignatius Leclair said indifferently. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦

Delphine paused, realizing that the late Mrs. Leclair was truly a talented woman.

"Mother loved beautiful things and enjoyed putting her ideas into action," Ignatius Leclair mentioned his mother, his expression softened slightly. Seeing Delphine ignoring him, his gaze deepened as he took out his phone to call Leclair Mansion, connecting to a video call with the two little ones.

The man specifically provided visual phones for Nicholas Carter and Benjamin Leclair.

Benjamin’s fluffy little head popped onto the screen, her eyes black as grapes were glued to the screen. Upon seeing Delphine, she immediately exclaimed happily, "Mommy, mommy, Benjamin misses you."

The man with a face as dark as iron snorted coldly.

The little girl saw Daddy blocking Mommy’s view, his handsome face dark and brooding. She nearly bit her tongue, and sweetly said, "Daddy, Benjamin has been very good."

As soon as Delphine heard Benjamin’s voice, she abandoned the book. However, the man’s big frame blocked her, and unable to push him aside, she bit his shoulder.
