the two-faced Adopted Girl Who Melted CEO's Ice-Cold Heart-Chapter 831: She Acted Out Shamelessly and Rode Roughshod Over Him
"Auntie doesn’t have time." The man rejected her indifferently, "Here, the only person you can make use of is me."
Delphine thought about having to be completely open with him day and night, with no privacy or space, and her face turned sharply.
Ignatius saw she seemed to finally realize the reality, and a slight smile appeared on his handsome face as he said in a low voice, "I used to overlook you. Since you even take an irrelevant psychologist as the other woman, let’s live in our own world. Are you at ease now?"
So he was punishing her because of the affair incident? Delphine looked at him in disbelief, feeling she couldn’t understand his way of thinking anymore.
The man stood quietly in front of the bed, looking down at her, his eyes cold like icy stars, a high nose bridge, and thin lips gradually recalling the person who drove him away years ago. Delphine’s heart trembled, and she hesitantly and fearfully called out, "Ignatius?"
Has his primary personality awakened? Is that why he went crazy and trapped her here?
Ignatius was momentarily dazed but quickly understood her meaning. Did she think the primary personality had awakened? So in Delphine Carter’s mind, the one who hurt her was always Ignatius, while the one who gave her love and care was only Magnus? The man curved his lips in a sarcastic smile, not denying it. He should have told her long ago that he was Ignatius, otherwise, even in bed, she would be calling out another man’s name.
"It’s me." The man said indifferently.
Delphine felt chilled to the core, her mind a mess, no longer knowing how to react.
"Behave, okay?" Ignatius reached out to hold her, seeing her daze. His finger gently pressed against her thin lips, causing them to blush, then he withdrew his hand satisfactorily, saying flatly, "What are you afraid of me for?"
The man leaned closer and looked at her, his face strikingly handsome, his aura cold and powerful. Delphine only lost her focus for a moment before regaining her composure. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
She admitted she wasn’t a match for Ignatius, but she wasn’t someone to meekly accept fate without resisting either.
When she was little, she used to run wild across fields and hills, and Grandma always worried her character was too stubborn. She used to advise her to be accommodating and not to be obsessive over things. Although she hadn’t progressed much over the years, her character had become considerably more stable.
Knowing he’s Ignatius, Delphine instead felt somewhat relieved; eventually, confrontation had to happen. Prolonged pain is worse than short pain. She would act up, provoke him until he became bothered by her, ideally enough for him to get rid of her.
Perhaps Magnus’s character was emotional and gentle, but Ignatius was a dictator deep down, unable to stand a woman running wild over him. Delphine felt she had wasted those years engaging in a head-on fight with him.
Once Delphine figured this out, she summoned some courage, struggled to sit up, leaned against the soft pillow, and said indifferently, "I want coffee. Go make it for me, with two servings of sugar."
Ignatius was stunned by her words, seeing her sitting against the bed with skin fair as jade, her face delicate and beautiful, irresistibly charming. He subconsciously agreed, and went out to make coffee for her.
Delphine had initially tested to see if she could order him around, but when his tall and slender figure disappeared, she was momentarily taken aback. He really went? So obedient?
Listening to the noise of him going downstairs, she struggled to slide off the bed, propping herself up against the cabinet to stand.
Though her limbs were weak, as long as she held onto the walls and cabinets, and walked slowly, she could manage. Delphine breathed a sigh of relief. As long as she didn’t have to rely on others for everything, it would be okay.
