The True Heiress is the Reserved Fiancé's Exclusive Memory-Chapter 485 - 496: Is it Mia Ginger (4)
"Brother." Aurora Cooper looked at him, seeking his opinion, "What do you think about me adopting her as a goddaughter?"
"..." Bradley Cooper was taken aback, hesitating.
The more Aurora thought about it, the more feasible it seemed. She continued, "I really like that child no matter how I look at it. Her relationship with her family isn’t great. Why not ask her? If she’s willing, we can establish a godparent relationship. After the press conference, I can back her up. You don’t even know how she’s living at home. Zuri Ginger said a few days ago that the girl’s right ear went deaf from a slap by Charlotte Chester."
"Deaf?"
"Exactly, it’s infuriating just thinking about it."
"But is there enough time? Besides, the girl’s identity isn’t ordinary. It’s not something we can casually establish," Bradley cautiously remarked.
"I think she doesn’t fit into that family," Aurora scoffed, "As long as she’s willing, there shouldn’t be any problem. Especially since she gets along so well with me, confirming this relationship will mean more contact in the future."
Bradley looked at her, "Aren’t you planning to find your biological daughter anymore?"
Aurora was slightly stunned, then said pensively after a while, "I really do like that child."
"Since that’s the case," Bradley nodded, "Why don’t you call her out for a chat? Actually, I quite like her too."
"Okay, I’ll call her."
As Aurora finished speaking, she pulled out her phone to make the call.
Bradley glanced at the assistant standing not far away and gestured for them to come over.
"Brother Cooper." The assistant quickly stepped forward.
Bradley stood up, spread his hands, and said, "Give me a cigarette."
The assistant promptly pulled out a cigarette and a lighter, handing them over, reminding him, "You have an event in three days, smoke less, and take care of your health."
"Alright." Bradley glanced at him, a bit annoyed, "I haven’t even lit one yet."
The assistant chuckled.
Bradley walked to the window, holding the cigarette between his slender fingers, bowed his head slightly, and took a slow drag.
Mia Ginger came out alone.
She glanced around, then smiled as she approached Aurora, "Aunt Cooper, what’s up?"
Aurora looked at her, smiled, and pointed to the spot beside her, "Come, sit here and we’ll talk."
Mia was taken aback and moved forward to sit down.
Aurora looked at her, pondered slightly, and considering the time, directly asked, "Would you like to be my goddaughter?"
Mia: "..."
Aurora took her hand, smiling, "I liked you from the moment we met. Over this time, I’ve grown even more fond of you. If you’re willing, let’s make this relationship official."
"Why is that?" Mia snapped back to reality, pulling her hand back, "You’ve already acknowledged a biological daughter, how come..."
"There was some mistake; Zuri is not my daughter." Aurora said seriously, "The press conference is approaching, and I thought of you. What do you think?"
"..." Mia was taken aback, speechless for a moment.
After a while, she smiled and withdrew her hand, politely declining, "Thank you for your kindness. I might not be able to help you with this."
Aurora was momentarily stunned, surprised, "Hmm?"
Mia lowered her head, smiled gently, and said, "I think our current relationship is comfortable enough. There’s no need to change it, and since I haven’t managed relationships with either of my moms well, I really don’t want a third mom, besides..."
Her tone paused, and she softly said, "I’m sure you’ll find your daughter in the future, and I believe you’ll be a great mom, giving her the best love. After years of separation, a relationship needs to be nurtured carefully to harmonize, how could I cause further chaos?"
