Ben’s sudden entrance made Emma slap her forehead and then rub it to stop the building headache.

But once she realized that it was not going to work out, she turned toward Ben and decided to answer him.

"Sorry, I don’t have a solution for this. I guess we would have to meet the demands those people are making anyway in order to get rid of the current problem. Ugh, I did not want to involve others in this mess."

Emma complained as she made a decision.

Their conversation sparked interest in me so I coughed to remind the pair that I was there as well. They looked startled to see me but Emma just sighed as she decided to address me.

"Kyle, sit down. It’s time you and Theo know what is going on as well. Ben, would you mind getting Theo for me—"

"I am here as well. I heard my name and decided to come here. Is something the matter?"

Speak of the devil and he shall appear... that was what I felt in my heart as I felt Theo taking a seat beside me.

He looked the same as always, but there was just... something about him that had changed.

There was a sharpness in his aura that had not been there before and it made me feel a little on edge as he sat down beside me.

But then Theo flashed his smile toward me and I felt like I could forget about anything and everything that he might have said to me at this point.

’Darn it. It’s just getting worse and worse. I am sure that Theo can do anything he wants and I would end up forgiving him at this rate. What should I do now?’

I asked myself but I had no solution to my dilemma.

"Anyway, the reason I called you both here and wanted you to hear me out is because this would affect you both as well. Someone approached me to buy the shares of this PC Cafe from me and I said no. But they threatened to use violence if we don’t comply."

Emma told us both with a worried look on her face and Theo gave her a simple look.

"If you are being threatened, then why not use force to repel them? You have enough money to hire a hunter. Besides, we have Kyle as well, right? Who would be foolish enough to threaten Ace?"

Theo asked with a calm look on his face and Emma looked taken aback. She looked at Theo and then at me with wide eyes, not believing what we had just told her.

"I... never thought about that. Why did I never try to ask Kyle for help?... But the issue at hand is not that pressing? Surely there are more pressing matters for Ace to attend to?"

Emma asked me but she suddenly looked a little hopeful and I felt just slightly betrayed because she did not think I would have helped her out if she had asked.

Heck, I would have helped her out even if she had not asked but simply hinted at the fact that she needed help.

"Emma, this is my home and I want to protect it at all costs. The fact that you did not try much tells me that this opponent is not easy to deal with. But that should not be a problem for me."

I told her and Emma looked beyond grateful.

Her expression looked rather relaxed after I told her I would help but then it hardened once more as she looked serious. I felt just a little nervous as she looked at me with her calm eyes.

"The one who wants to buy this place is the association’s chairman. He is adamant that our cafe location is necessary for public safety and needs to be sold to them."

Emma told me and I could see the problem here.

No matter how much the association had fallen, their chairman still had considerable influence over the masses and could sway them toward their side.

If he declared this place as necessary for people’s safety, then Emma would have no grounds to refute if he asked for it.

Especially not if she wanted to retain people’s trust in her.

"Huh-! Isn’t the solution to this situation rather simple? The chairman might have a lot of influence, but we also have someone with a lot of influence, right? I mean, Kyle is just there. Surely, we can borrow Ace’s name from him."

Theo told us with a smile. But something about that smile made me uncomfortable.

Something about Theo was... a lot different than before. But I could not put my finger on what it was.

Not that I got to observe him for a lot longer because Emma turned toward me and grabbed my hands.

"Kyle, you don’t have to listen to Theo about this, alright? You don’t have to do anything you don’t want to. You have already broken off your ties to the association. There is no need for you to go back into this mess."

Emma told me with a serious look on her face and I just gave her a small smile.

"I know. But I do want to help you out here."

I told her with a strong smile on my face.
