The System Sent Me to Breed an All-Female Amazon Tribe-Chapter 261: I’ll Go Ahead and Kill Those Other Filthy Ones
Titania turned her gaze fully toward me, who was still standing at the doorway with Isabelle right beside me.
"Hey, Benjamin, did you know about this whole situation?" Titania asked while still holding Grey close in her arms.
Her voice was carrying a mix of surprise and amusement as she rocked the titan gently from side to side.
Grey herself also looked really glad to be treated like a plushie, her body relaxing fully into the embrace with a content little sigh escaping her lips.
Titania continued, looking like a satisfied mother after childbirth; "I gave birth to our first child, you know."
"Liar!" I roared loudly as I walked straight toward her across the throne room floor, my steps echoing on the polished stone, "If anything, I was the one who gave birth to them in the first place, so don’t try to claim all the credit here."
"Ehhhh? Don’t be such a cheapskate about it now. I knew the moment I laid eyes on Asherria standing there that she was my daughter without any doubt in my mind."
"Mama, mama!" Grey raised her face upward to meet Titania’s gaze directly, her eyes shining as she spoke with clear excitement, "Grey Ivy’s name is Grey Ivy!"
Hehe, the way she referred to herself using a third person pronoun, just like Lulu used to do, felt really soothing and oddly endearing to listen to in that moment.
You won’t believe she was the eldest there.
But seriously, why were Tera and Tesa suddenly serving punishments on their knees like that, over there in the corner of the room?
"What?!" Titania jolted visibly, her small body tensing as she flashed me a sharp look from across the space between us, her violet eyes narrowing in clear accusation, "You... named our only daughter without me being there to take part in it at all?!"
"You don’t like the name I chose for her?" I raised one eyebrow in question while crossing my arms over my chest.
"I love it. It’s wonderful!" She balled her small fist in exaggerated excitement, pumping it once in the air with dramatic flair, "But now I look like a complete idiot for trying to name her again on my own after the fact."
That’s your own fault for trying to one-up me in an untold naming contest that nobody else even knew was happening.
Then suddenly, Titania’s caresses on Grey’s head and back softened noticeably, her crystal eyes growing gentler while a peaceful smile spread slowly across her face.
It was beautiful to watch, really.
She looked truly at ease standing there in the middle of the throne room with the kid held close.
"You know..." Her voice dropped to a much softer tone, almost a whisper as she continued stroking Grey’s hair, "This whole moment reminds me so much of when I had my first child long, long ago... It truly is the most beautiful thing in the world, that feeling of bringing a new baby into existence... Okay, I’ll go ahead and kill those other filthy ones standing over there now, to clean things up."
"Yeah..." I nodded, before I understood what she meant, "Wait, no, stop right there!!"
I barely made it in time, lunging forward to raise her hand upward with both of mine, redirecting the gathered energy just as she released another blast.
The violet light tore a large, slanted hole straight through the nearby vined-wall with a deafening crack, sending stone fragments flying while leaving the other kids’ heads untouched just below it.
And c’mon! Would those titans care even a little bit more about their own lives instead of just standing there like statues?
"Huh? Benjamin, why exactly are you stopping me from doing this?" Titania raised one eyebrow in clear puzzlement, tilting her head slightly as she looked at me, "There are Fairylynch demons standing right there in my throne room, and some really weird ones too that almost look like foolish versions of you and me. How gross that is? Let me just end them quickly-- ouch!"
I chopped her lightly on the top of her head with the side of my hand as she started gathering energy on her finger once again, the smack making a soft thwack sound.
"What was that for?!" She lashed out like an angered cat, her small body twisting sharply while her eyes flashed with irritation and she rubbed the spot with one hand.
"Can’t you tell what I’m trying to say here?" I pulled her cheek gently but firmly to turn her face back toward the other kids standing nearby, "Those are Grey Ivy’s siblings... Your other children as well."
"..." Titania paid them a long, careful glance, her eyes slowly scanning each one from head to toe and taking in their appearances and stances one by one.
Then a smug smile finally curved her lips upward, "I knew that already, silly! When I first laid my eyes on the—"
"You liar!" I used my fists to playfully grind at the sides of her head in a noogie motion, rubbing my knuckles lightly against her hair as she thrashed around exaggeratedly in my grip, her arms flailing dramatically while protests bubbled out of her.
"Ehehe! Mama and Papa are playing!" Grey clapped her hands together with obvious delight, her eyes sparkling as she watched the two of us from her spot near Titania’s side.
"Okay, you guys," I called out clearly for the rest of the kids who were still waiting not too far from us, raising my voice so it carried across the throne room, "Come over here and greet your supposed mother properly now."
And they started filing up toward us one after another in an orderly line.
Like sheep, they wouldn’t move a single step until someone told them exactly what to do?
Since Briar was the only one who could talk properly in full sentences so far, I raised my hand to gesture for her to speak on behalf of the whole group...
But I faltered midway with my arm still in the air.
Sh... She might say something really arrogant and end up angering Titania on the spot... 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
But she does seem to see me in pretty high regard, so maybe Titania won’t get attacked verbally at least.
Ah, but I’m still worried about how this could go.
"Father, allow me to begin the introductions if you please," a soul-soothing, mature woman’s voice suddenly dropped into the room like sweet honey pouring smoothly over everything, warm and rich in tone.
