Chapter 257: Rowan and Briar

"Your name is Ash," I said with a smile spreading across my face as I looked straight at him, "Ash Thorn... Go ahead now, take your time and say it out loud for me."

"Arysdhiksjk."

"Wonderful!"

I replied, even though the sound that came out of his mouth was pure gibberish,.

Though, I praised him anyway with genuine warmth in my voice and a nod of approval. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶

But hey, wasn’t I supposed to end up with a body like his?

All those well-proportioned muscles paired with a pretty face that turned heads.

Instead, all I got was the pretty face part, while the rest of my body looked like something people could easily misunderstand as feminine from a distance.

Anyway, the next titan seemed to fit more into the same androgynous territory I found myself currently standing in.

I chose to refer to them as "she" because something about the way they carried themselves leaned that direction, but honestly they looked like they could pass for either.

She had a toned body that made you picture her hitting the gym every single day without fail, her muscles defined but not bulky. Something on the level of an average Amazon.

The way her curves flowed naturally from waist to hip, and how her ass perked up with each small shift in posture, made me think female suited her best overall.

Haha, she stayed as flat-chested as I was though.

And with no nipples visible at all, there was no quick way to tell if she leaned truly toward male or female features.

What an interesting character she made, standing there with that balanced build.

If I had woken up in a body like hers, I probably would have found the nearest sturdy branch and hanged myself, leaving Sara to walk in and discover my dangling corpse swinging slowly in the breeze.

She, just like Grey Ivy, kept smiling cheerfully with her lips curved upward, her eyes twinkling as they fixed on me like I was some kind of enlightened figure or Buddha sitting before her.

’Slow down there, missy,’ I thought, while watching her expression. ’I genuinely tried to kill you not that long ago, remember?’

Not only did her gender-neutral appearance catch my attention, but she carried other distinctive traits that stood out clearly as she moved closer.

For one thing, she was heterochromic, her left eye shining a deep violet while her right eye gleamed with a bright ocean blue that seemed to shift with the light.

And her hair formed a rough mix of brown and silver strands, styled with sharp cuts at the tips and a few loose strands bending playfully around her bangs, giving her face a framed, almost artistic look.

"Huughiugh!" She babbled softly, the sound tumbling out as she crawled forward a little on her hands and knees, inching toward me with clear curiosity in her movements.

Before she could get much closer, Grey Ivy suddenly jumped onto me from the side, wrapping her arms around my neck and pouting with her lips pushed forward in obvious displeasure.

Oho? Fighting over Papa already?

The thought crossed my mind as I felt the weight of both of them pressing in, and a small chuckle escaped me despite the situation.

Hahaha--Okay, this really is not too funny when you stop and think about it.

These are all grown-looking people acting like this right now.

"Your name is... Rowan, understand?" I said while tapping her cute nose gently with my fingertip, watching her eyes widen slightly at the contact. "Go on, give it a try and say Rowan for me."

"R.... Ruuaannn?"

Awwwn!

The way her voice shaped that first attempt made something warm bloom in my chest as I watched her try.

And Grey Ivy, stop squeezing my neck so tightly out of jealousy like that.

You already know how to talk perfectly well, remember?

Though I have to admit, your own first words had been something along the lines of "mean," which still makes me shake my head when I recall it.

Alright, ignoring the grown woman who kept squeezing my neck tighter with needless envy written all over her face and posture, let’s move on to the last born...

Ahhhhhh, she looked so cute the moment I laid eyes on her that I quickly reached out and dragged her straight into a warm hug, pulling her small frame against me without thinking twice.

The squeeze around my neck from Grey Ivy increased noticeably in response, her arms tightening like she refused to lose any ground.

"Okay, quit it, Ivy!" I had to raise my voice and yell at her directly, though she simply ignored the command and kept holding on with stubborn determination.

As for the one I was hugging, she only showed a small blush that crept across her cheeks like a soft pink tint, but her face stayed even more deadpan and expressionless than Tera and Tesa combined on their worst days.

How does someone keep such a perfect poker face when being pulled into an embrace like this?

Her features barely shifted, eyes steady and calm.

She now looked dangerous in a quiet sort of way, like some kind of hidden blade wrapped in delicate packaging.

Ah, I got it right then as the name clicked into place in my mind.

"Briar... Your name will be Briar, okay?" I asked while still holding her, then decided to tease her a little more with a playful tone. "Alright, go ahead and say it for me now."

She flashed her crystal blue eyes up to meet my face for a brief second, then looked away shyly before whispering, "B... Briar..."

"..."

Uh... H-Haha... I didn’t expect her to actually get it right on the first try like that.

She might be the cutest one here, but something told me she could also be the most dangerous of the six if push came to shove.

She looked like... me, in a way.

Actually, every single one standing around me looked like a mocking mix of Titania and myself blended together, with Grey Ivy standing out as different from the rest of us and feeling uniquely her own.

Briar had extremely long silver hair that flowed down and pooled on the ground around her like a shimmering silver pool spreading outward with every small movement.

She had the stature of a petite teen, almost resembling the fairies in stature, standing around the same height as Titania even.

With her delicate and slender limbs that moved with graceful ease, and her pale skin that seemed almost luminous under the light, she was practically the clone of Silver Moss, only appearing younger and more delicate in every proportion.

And the fact that they all looked so much like my own face felt genuinely embarrassing when I stopped to think about it for more than a second.

Someone might catch sight of me standing next to Silver Moss and immediately come out with this annoying kind of comment:

"Haha, what a cute girl you are," then glance over at Silver Moss and add, "is she your daughter?"

No, she is MY daughter, and I am a guy, damn it!

Nevertheless, they all had names now, and they looked presentable enough to walk around in normal human society without causing too much immediate panic...

Except for Grey Ivy and those noticeable fangs of hers that still peeked out whenever she smiled.

Sigh...

How do I even begin to explain all of this to the fairies who are still waiting for me back there?
