The Soft-Hearted Wife of Mr. Big Shot-Chapter 39: Sweet Creamy Mochi
After Holly came out, Sean Grant had already left. She yawned, feeling rather sleepy.
"Boss, Creamy Mochi with White Peach Oolong flavor."
As Holly passed by the front desk, Bella Coleman pulled out a box of pastries like a magician, a smile hanging on her lips.
Everyone knew Holly liked things with White Peach Oolong flavor, so those who could bake and were handy would research items with this flavor.
They just hoped Holly would like it.
"Thanks."
Holly curled her lips, clearly showing she was in an exceptionally good mood.
This feeling was really nice. She had a group of people who cared about her, and she felt quite happy.
Holly took the Creamy Mochi and then walked out of the dessert shop. She didn’t call Walter Bennett to pick her up but took a cab to Leo Grant’s company herself.
Having been there before, she found her way easily and went to Leo Grant’s office directly. Leo was in a meeting, and after a little assistant poured Holly some water, she left.
Holly propped her chin and looked out the window, her lips slightly curled. For some reason, she felt this was indeed a good feeling.
Waiting for Leo Grant to finish his meeting was just this feeling.
"Young lady, did you wait for long?"
Leo pushed open his office door and saw the young lady sitting in his chair, her chin in her hand as she looked out the window.
He slightly curled his lips, suddenly feeling a sense of fulfillment.
Having someone waiting for you after a tiring day, that feeling was truly quite pleasant.
"No, brother, I just arrived a short while ago."
Hearing Leo’s voice, Holly turned her head, her face bright with a sun-like smile, sweetly smiling, sweetness reaching into her heart.
"Been here for half an hour." Leo walked in, gently rubbing Holly’s head, his voice unusually tender, "Yet you say you just arrived."
The young lady had been here for half an hour; his assistant told him. But the young lady claimed she’d just arrived, truly a silly girl.
"Brother, I brought you Creamy Mochi, White Peach Oolong flavor, it’s delicious, try it."
Holly proudly took out the Creamy Mochi, her face beaming with joy, looking extremely happy.
"Young lady, eat it yourself."
Leo gently rubbed Holly’s head, slowly started speaking.
Creamy Mochi is a pastry, also a dessert, and he wasn’t really interested in desserts.
"This is what Holly specially brought for brother, just have a little, okay?"
The young lady blinked, lightly biting her lip as she looked at Leo, eyes full of anticipation for Leo.
Her eyes seemed to speak, blinking and staring at someone, always conveying a feeling of wanting to talk.
"Okay, brother will eat."
Leo curled his lips, took a Creamy Mochi and started eating, White Peach Oolong flavor, soft and glutinous, not at all greasy, quite sweet.
Sweet like the young lady.
He didn’t like or often refused sweet food before, always thought sweet food tasted bad. Now he suddenly felt sweet food was delicious, soft and glutinous.
"Brother, how’s the taste?"
The young lady blinked her eyes, full of expectation as she looked at Leo, her eyes bright and spirited.
"Delicious, very sweet."
Leo licked his lips, a smile on his face.
Really delicious, sweet but not greasy; the young lady likes White Peach Oolong flavored things, perhaps as sweet and fragrant as this Creamy Mochi?
"I knew it, brother would definitely like it."
The young lady’s eyes suddenly brightened, seemingly filled with stars, exceptionally dazzling.
Seeing the young lady so happy, Leo suddenly felt his mood was indeed quite good.
"Yes, what Holly buys, brother likes."
Leo curled his lips and smiled, the things the young lady bought tasted good, he quite liked them.
"Brother, when is your brother leaving, Holly doesn’t like him."
Holly blinked before cautiously asking, her small eyes sneaking glances at Leo.
Worried Leo would be angry, as if afraid he’d be mad once the question was out.
"He’s leaving today, Holly waits here for brother to get off work, okay?"
Leo rubbed Holly’s head, his voice warm and gentle.
Holly nodded vaguely.
"By the time we leave, Sean Grant would have already gone, Holly won’t see him."
Leo paused and continued speaking.
The young lady didn’t like Sean Grant, but that’s okay, it’s perfectly fine not to like.
"Alright."
Instantly, Holly’s eyes sparkled, she blinked as she looked at Leo.
"Sit tight, if you’re sleepy, go inside to sleep, brother has to work."
Leo pointed to the lounge, his voice warm and gentle, and then he took out a file and began to look seriously.
"Okay."
Holly nodded earnestly as she watched Leo.
It’s said a man at work is most charming, and suddenly Holly felt that Leo was quite charming while working, she couldn’t quite articulate what kind of charm it was.
Holly watched for a while, suddenly feeling a bit sleepy, wanting to sleep.
When you’re bored by yourself, after a long time of idleness you’d want to sleep. Holly was now in this state, having nothing to do, just kept staring at Leo, and started to feel sleepy.
"Brother, I’m going to sleep, Holly’s a bit tired."
Holly rubbed her eyes, yawned as she spoke, then slowly walked into the lounge.
Uh, really feeling a bit tired.
"Go ahead."
Leo nodded, speaking as he watched Holly walk into the lounge.
He was a bit busy today, not only with company matters but also other things.
After Holly went into the lounge, she didn’t immediately sleep. Instead, she pulled out her phone, intently typing on it.
Her expression was quite serious; she very quickly put down her phone and opened a chat page, "I’m going back to Arkenfall the day after tomorrow."
After sending the voice message, she put down the phone, lay down preparing to sleep.
The day after tomorrow she has to return to Arkenfall, but she needs to find a reason to go back to Arkenfall, although it might be difficult.
Making Leo not suspicious is really quite challenging.
Leo opened the lounge door and came in, the air conditioning was on, the temperature a bit low, Leo pulled out a blanket to cover Holly.
"There are things I understand, but if you don’t say, I won’t ask, because I know that what you want me to know, I’ll eventually know, what you don’t want me to know, even if I ask, it won’t help."
Leo spoke lightly, as if fearing waking the young lady from her sleep.
