The Soft-Hearted Wife of Mr. Big Shot-Chapter 15: White Peach Oolong Lollipop
The man didn’t want to waste words with Holly Sawyer, he signaled the people behind him to grab her.
"Want to capture me?"
The smile faded from Holly Sawyer’s face, and a cold sneer appeared at the corner of her lips.
The man looked at Holly Sawyer, whose expression changed suddenly, and was momentarily stunned; it was practically two different faces.
"You think I’m Leo Grant’s weakness, that capturing me will let you deal with Leo Grant?"
Holly Sawyer chuckled coldly, arms crossed, staring coldly at the man, her tone exceedingly icy, and her entire being seemed to undergo an upheaval.
Hmm, whether that matters isn’t important, what’s important is that Holly Sawyer will never be Leo Grant’s weakness.
"Grab her."
The man realized something was off but still ordered his men to grab Holly Sawyer.
Holly Sawyer’s changes had truly been ground-shaking.
Effortlessly, Holly Sawyer dodged them, with no effort at all; the two large men were quickly pinned beneath her feet.
Somehow, Holly Sawyer was sucking on a lollipop, standing like a boss, looking down at the two men underfoot.
"Tell me, did you underestimate me, or did you think too little of me?"
Holly Sawyer spoke slowly, her voice peculiarly cold.
Hmm, she knew without needing to say it, he had underestimated her, thinking a girl like her could be sweet-talked into leaving, or at worst, could be captured alone.
"You...."
The man couldn’t even figure out how Holly Sawyer had acted, incredulously looking at his two subordinates pinned beneath her feet.
"A soft appearance is the best disguise weapon."
Holly Sawyer said.
Exactly, it was because of Holly Sawyer’s delicate and weak appearance that many would think she was a girl incapable of even lifting a chicken.
"However, those irrelevant people who have seen my true face, their final fate can only be one thing—that is, death."
A cold sneer played on Holly Sawyer’s lips, her words exceptionally callous.
Indeed, apart from her subordinates, no one in this world knew Holly Sawyer was the owner of The Pantheon, and no one could tear away her disguise to see the true face.
The man shuddered for a moment, not yet reacting as he collapsed to the ground, a lollipop stuffed into his mouth.
The lollipop was very sweet, but sweetness led to poison, and as the poison invaded their body, they soon died; the remaining two met the same fate.
Holly Sawyer had killed many people, but she had never personally ended someone’s life; it was always by candy ending their lives.
In Holly Sawyer’s view, those killed without her hands-on don’t count as her personally killing them.
"Dying at my hands, you should feel honored."
Holly Sawyer tossed the lollipop stick on the ground, sucking on the lollipop with a composed expression.
She intended to tidy up the scene but heard the sound of a car approaching, promptly leaving; no one would be able to trace it back to her.
Holly Sawyer returned to the Grant Family household to find Mrs. Hayes absent, turned on the TV, and once more unwrapped a lollipop, chewing it as she watched TV.
Indeed, her pockets contained many lollipops, which she often ate and shared with others, without incident, which some might find puzzling.
The lollipops in her pockets were non-toxic; the poison was added when unwrapping the candy for those she wished no longer to live.
This poison was self-developed, fast-acting, and extremely difficult to detect as poisoning.
"Little sister, has Leo Grant come back yet?"
Suddenly the door opened, and Noah Raines rushed in, looking urgently at Holly Sawyer enjoying her lollipop and watching TV on the sofa.
"Brother hasn’t returned yet, is something wrong, Noah?"
Holly Sawyer blinked, puzzledly looking at Noah Raines.
"Damn, on my way here I saw three guys lying on the road..."
Noah Raines couldn’t help blurting out a curse, then realizing Holly Sawyer was in front of him, he immediately shut his mouth.
Using foul language in front of a little girl was indeed somewhat inappropriate, and she knew nothing about such matters.
Initially aiming to grab some food at Leo Grant’s place, Noah unexpectedly encountered three men on the road, lifeless, with lollipops in their mouths.
It was quite eerie.
With slight medical understanding, Noah did a cursory examination but found no signs of poisoning, which was very strange.
Initially thinking nothing of it, suddenly a thought sparked in his mind, a person—a mention of The Pantheon’s owner, S.
This deeply worried him about Leo’s safety, causing him to forget calling and head straight to Leo Grant’s house.
In Arkenfall, he wasn’t concerned about people targeting Leo, as Leo could manage that, at most getting injured, not killed.
However, The Pantheon’s owner S was different, elusive, with no one ever seeing her true face, only knowing she could kill with a single lollipop.
Her kills were imperceptible, recognized as poison by those aware, bewildering those unaware why the individuals unexpectedly passed.
"What? What lying on the road?"
Holly Sawyer looked curiously at Noah Raines, blinking with an innocent expression.
"The lollipop in your mouth..."
Looking at the lollipop Holly Sawyer held, Noah noticed the similarity with those in the mouths of those three and shivered.
Identically looking lollipops unnerved him spontaneously.
"Noah, do you want some?"
Holly Sawyer blinked, then pulled out a handful of lollipops from her pocket, with white peach oolong being the majority flavor, but mixed with others.
"Can I eat it?"
Eyeing the white peach oolong-flavored candies in Holly’s hand, Noah was momentarily uncertain.
Everyone knew The Pantheon’s owner S’s lollipops were solely white peach oolong-flavored, no others.
With a mix of flavors, Holly’s pockets wouldn’t arouse suspicion.
"Sure, Noah, do you prefer white peach oolong or another flavor?"
Placing a handful of candy in Noah’s grasp, Holly Sawyer’s eyes were filled with laughter, sharing snacks with the genuine delight of sharing with a friend.
Glancing at the candy in hand, Noah’s lips involuntarily twitched, "Watch TV, I’ll call Leo."
Turning, Noah went to call Leo Grant regarding the matter, having already dealt with the three corpses on the road.
Watching Noah leave, Holly Sawyer continued lounging on the couch, watching TV, seemingly unimpressed by Noah’s actions.
"Hmm, white peach oolong candy is very sweet."
Holly Sawyer slightly curled her lips, slowly stating.
