Chapter 1073: Departing to the Central Region of Heaven

After learning that Aldrian’s departure time was not long, many of the leaders decided to stay in the capital city until Aldrian’s departure.

They did not want to miss the chance to witness what could become a historic moment, when they could send off a figure who might truly bring change to the First Heaven.

This also allowed them to discuss many matters outside the limited time they had during the banquet.

The banquet itself was not long, lasting only two hours. However, even after the banquet ended, some of the leaders, especially those from major organizations, did not immediately leave the palace.

They continued conversing with Aldrian until Aldrian felt it was enough and left the palace to return to his mansion.

He decided to remain in the mansion until his departure the next day.

------------------------------

At night, when the moonlight illuminated the capital city, giving a soft white hue to the scenery, Aldrian sat in the garden enjoying the sight of the bright full moon. Occasionally, the sound of crickets could be heard, making the atmosphere feel more special.

This was the last night he would spend in this world, and he wanted to enjoy the night scenery one final time. Although he might return to this world in the future, he still felt a sense of sentimentality after staying here for some time.

As his gaze remained on the star-filled night sky, a white-robed figure approached him from the side.

Aldrian, who already knew who it was, spoke without turning his head.

"I did not expect you to visit me at this time, Your Highness."

Only then did he look at the robed figure, who was actually Princess Xena. The princess smiled at him as she opened the hood covering her head.

"I am sorry if my visit disturbed you, Your Excellency."

"Of course not, Your Highness. Please have a seat," Aldrian said, and the princess sat on the vacant chair near him.

Aldrian continued looking at the night sky. Princess Xena looked at his side profile for a moment, which made her blush before she also turned her gaze toward the night sky.

There was only silence between them, but it was not an awkward silence. It was as if they did not need to say anything, and gazing at the stars was enough for them.

"So Your Excellency will depart tomorrow?" Princess Xena finally spoke after a few moments of silence.

"Yes, Your Highness," Aldrian answered shortly, and the silence fell once again.

After a few seconds, she suddenly stood up and slightly bowed to him.

"Thank you for everything you have done for this kingdom, for this world," she said, but then she paused for a second before she continued. "Thank you for guiding me and helping me become a much stronger cultivator. I will not forget any of your teachings and our time together."

Aldrian then looked at her with a smile.

"You are welcome, Your Highness. I am glad that I could help you. I hope that you can continue growing stronger for the brighter future of this kingdom."

Princess Xena also smiled as she lifted her head to look at Aldrian’s face. Although she felt shy, she felt braver at this moment. She then sat down again before continuing to look at the sky.

"Your Excellency, could I meet you again in the future?" she asked.

Aldrian returned his gaze to the sky.

"Of course, Your Highness. You can simply visit me in the Ancient Blue Gate World. Do not speak as if this is our last meeting."

Princess Xena smiled warmly and did not say anything more. There was only silence once again, as if she was already satisfied just being here, sitting near Aldrian.

She did not need to speak much, as she had already achieved what she wanted by coming here. That was why, despite what might seem like an awkward atmosphere between them at this moment, she did not feel awkward at all.

Instead, she felt relieved and also glad that she dared to come to him tonight alone and sit near him. She did not want to feel any regret, as she did not know if there would ever be a time like this again in the future.

Once Aldrian left, she doubted that she would have another chance like this, where she could spend time alone with him. With him already having wives and many responsibilities that kept him busy, she would likely never have such an opportunity again.

Aldrian, who could sense the princess’s feelings, did not say anything. This kind of situation had already become common to him. His existence attracted the hearts of many women, and many hearts had already broken and would continue to break.

If he were a cultivator with ordinary willpower, then as someone who did not wish to see women heartbroken, he would already have tens or even hundreds of women in his harem.

However, he was not someone who easily accepted women into his heart. There might be many ways to win his affection, yet he had not met any woman who truly made him want to open his heart.

It was not the same as when he was with his wives.

For him, the cases of Sylphia, Baek Jimin, and Angelica were special because their existences were connected to his past life. Their fates had long been intertwined, even before he was born into his current life.

Sylphia and Angelica shared history with him, having been his wives in many of his past lives. Baek Jimin comprehended the Heavenly Demon’s Flower Scripture, which caused his heart, as the inheritor of the Heavenly Demon Scripture, to open to her as well.

He did not know if he could ever have another woman in the future who could give him the same feeling he had toward his wives.

He restrained himself from being easily attracted to other women. All this time, many beauties had already come into his life. If he were easily swayed by lust and mistook it for love, then he would become a different person from who he was now.

He would become a true womanizer.

His personality might also change.

He did not want that to happen, as it would affect his relationship with his wives and even with his family.

He needed to keep his heart and desires in check so that he would not lose himself.

Both Aldrian and Princess Xena enjoyed the night sky for more than two hours, occasionally conversing about various matters. The atmosphere between the two young cultivators was cordial and filled with lighthearted jokes.

By the time Princess Xena was on her way back to the royal palace, her face showed satisfaction and relief.

------------------------------

The next day, close to midday, outside the capital city, specifically near the special interstellar vessel landing zone, the area was crowded and lively with many people gathered.

An interstellar vessel was already prepared for departure, and nearby, Aldrian stood ready to board. King Darius, Prince Martis, and Princess Xena stood before him, while many leaders from organizations across the world stood behind them to see him off.

"Once again, thank you, Your Excellency, for everything you have done for us. I hope you have a safe journey and succeed in your mission in the Central Region of Heaven," King Darius said as he offered a handshake.

Aldrian smiled as he accepted the handshake. "Thank you, Your Majesty. I hope that the Gardum Kingdom will regain its prosperity now that the devils are no more."

King Darius nodded, and Aldrian then moved toward Prince Martis. They also exchanged a handshake.

"Be careful out there, Your Excellency. I hope that I can meet you again in the future and see you return with victory."

"Thank you, Your Highness," Aldrian replied before moving toward the next person.

Princess Xena smiled at him. Her face was not shy like usual but instead showed confidence. It was as if she did not want to show Aldrian her shy expression before his departure.

She wanted to show only her confidence.

"I wish you a safe journey and success, Your Excellency. I would still like to visit your world in the future and meet you again," the princess said as she offered a handshake.

Aldrian smiled and accepted the handshake. "Thank you, Your Highness. I would gladly receive you. There are many things that you might like in the Ancient Blue Gate World. I can guarantee that you will not get bored."

Princess Xena nodded. Aldrian then turned and walked toward the vessel as he boarded it. He stopped for a moment and looked at the many people who were gazing at him with reverence and happiness.

He could not help but feel satisfied as he saw their joyful faces after the war that had exhausted them.

He smiled at them one last time before the hatch quickly closed. The vessel finally began to float upward under the cheers of countless people watching Aldrian’s departure.

Although they did not know where Aldrian was going, they heard that he would depart for a distant world. This might be the last time they would see him, so they wished to watch him one final time and cheer for him as they sent him off.

The vessel continued floating higher until it disappeared from their sight. Not long after, it reached the upper atmosphere before moving into outer space.

Aldrian watched the Revitas World grow farther away with a smile through the side window of his cabin.

Although his time in this world had not been long, he had gained memories here that were worth remembering.
