The Royal Military Academy's Impostor Owns a Dungeon [BL]-Chapter 964: A Jewel for Every Heart
Thankfully, choosing designs hadn’t been extremely difficult when Countess Jenna came through with a lot of inspiration.
Practically a catalog that surprised everyone except Count Alexander, her own son Jax, and possibly the Mylors.
As a family with very specific and extremely particular obsessions, the reason their house could remain littered with technology and cold blue light was because the Countess had her own outlet to express beauty: jewelry.
More specifically, making small pieces that she could simply admire.
With their personal passions not clashing, they were able to live harmoniously. But who would have thought her expertise would end up coming into play today of all days?
But more than the Countess’s joy in being of help were the silent thanks uttered by a majority of the group.
Without her, what would have happened to the precious pearls?
Wouldn’t a lot of them have ended up on strings?
Most definitely.
Because frankly, Luca didn’t see a problem with that, when back in Tesseris they were mostly held together by strings.
Still, the little money grubber wasn’t that blind.
He could see the beauty in the collection presented to them and eventually managed to ask if a few designs could be combined together.
Luca quietly whispered his idea to the Countess while everyone looked on.
He kept glancing shyly toward his husband as he spoke to Jax’s mother.
Kyle Nox, in particular, looked over at his boss and best friend and wondered if Xavier was going to end up alright after this.
But then the Imperial Prince turned to face him.
One raised eyebrow.
A slight tilt of the head.
And a very subtle gesture toward the Countess, who had just been approached by one extremely distinct blonde.
Kyle followed the direction of the glance.
The little star.
Ah.
The wordless conversation between the two relatively stoic towers lasted all of two seconds.
Xavier was simply reminding Kyle that this was very much a shared disaster.
In other words, there was no need to look beyond himself for things like this.
If Xavier was getting dragged into something questionable, then Kyle had absolutely no right to assume he would walk away unscathed.
Because truly, this was a joint matter.
And Kyle would have to be an idiot to believe otherwise.
Then again, while the two towers exchanged silent blows beside each other, Jax was thinking about something entirely different.
Namely, that it probably didn’t matter anyway.
If those two ended up receiving jewelry with ridiculously large bows attached to them, they would still wear them anyway.
So he simply shrugged and focused on more important matters. In all this, Jax himself remained surprisingly relaxed. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
But he did have a small problem.
If he ended up choosing a design with just one of his children in mind, that would clearly be favoritism.
And that was unacceptable.
In the end, the straightforward solution seemed obvious.
He would just ask his mother for recommendations.
Soon enough, Countess Jenna really managed to go through everyone.
And that meant everyone. From the other nobles, to the staff and through all the cadets.
Even Theo and Noah.
Both of them looked like they might crumble on the spot.
Because they simply couldn’t imagine themselves wearing jewelry that existed in the same league as something owned by the Imperials.
Noah’s most important material possession right now was his biomecha. Yes, the very same one Luca gave him.
And frankly, he had already thought that was far more than he could ever ask for.
But now there was even this?
Just what exactly had he done in his past life to deserve something like this?
Still, if those two were stunned, Princess Kira was an entirely different story.
She had already dragged over her Bunbun.
Matching jewelry.
That was the only condition she cared about.
Provided it was matching, she didn’t care if the pearl ended up being as small as a grain. Actually, she wouldn’t even care if they didn’t use any sort of pearl at all. Provided it was matching, that was more than good enough for her!
However, what surprised everyone even more was what happened next.
The children were called over too.
__
Princess Marin, in particular, hadn’t expected it.
Normally, things like custom jewelry were for adults. Yes, she was a princess and a princess needed to maintain a level of dignity befitting her status... but her older brother Eren usually decided on such things.
He said it was because she was so young and couldn’t possibly be left to her own devices.
So when Countess Jenna began calling people over, the little princess simply stood where she was, unsure of what to do.
In the end, it took her new friend dragging her forward for her to move.
"Come on!" Princess Nina insisted, grabbing Marin’s hand.
Marin stumbled a little as she was pulled along.
Then again, she remembered how even a child could get her own house here.
And how she could approach everyone as long as she was respectful.
What a really nice place this was.
She hadn’t even visited the Expo booth yet. In fact, she might end up having a difficult time going there because her brother had said it still wasn’t very safe.
But even then, Princess Marin couldn’t find it in her heart to feel disappointed.
Everything she had experienced so far was already far better than anything she had imagined.
It was so good that she never expected she would even end up standing this close to her idol.
Soon they would even be relatives.
Right now, she could only stand beside her, but that was already much better than earlier when Marin thought she might faint from shock.
Just moments ago, Princess Kira had even told her she was strong.
She only needed to eat more of those things called vegetables.
And then she patted Marin’s head.
But now...
Now she was even going to receive one of those beautiful pearls.
Just like everyone else.
How unbelievable!
"Alright," Luca said cheerfully when the two girls arrived. "You two came at the perfect time."
Princess Nina immediately stood a little straighter.
Marin blinked nervously.
"Really?"
"Of course!" Luca replied.
Then he opened his palm.
Several smaller pearls rested there, glowing faintly with soft spiritual light.
"I thought these would be perfect for you two," Luca said warmly.
The children’s eyes widened instantly.
"For us?" Nina asked.
"For us?!" Marin echoed.
Luca nodded.
"These ones are a little smaller," he explained, "so they’ll be easier to wear. And they’re really pretty too."
Both girls stared at the pearls as if they had just been handed treasure.
"Brother Chipmunk! They’re beautiful!" Nina exclaimed.
"They’re really for us?" Marin asked again, almost afraid to believe it.
"Mm-hmm," Luca said with a smile.
Before anyone could react—
Two small figures suddenly rushed forward.
"Thank you, Big Brother Luca!"
The girls wrapped their arms around Luca’s leg at the same time.
They were small, short, and extremely cute, so the sight looked more like two little kittens clinging to a tree.
Luca blinked in surprise.
"Oh!"
Countess Jenna chuckled softly from the side.
"Well," she said, examining the pearls thoughtfully, "these are actually quite perfect for children."
She looked down at the two tiny princesses still hugging Luca.
"I believe we can design something very lovely for them."
Meanwhile, the golden-eyed pole carefully balanced the pearls in one hand while looking down at the two little figures attached to him.
He smiled helplessly.
"Well... I guess these are definitely the right ones."
