Chapter 331: Her Escape

"W-Wait a minute, are you implying that Elsa is pregnant? Or do you have the ability to see the future?" Andrius asked in confusion.

"That is my question too, โ€™Father-in-lawโ€™..." Chris smirked meaningfully. ๐™›๐“ป๐’†๐“ฎ๐’˜๐™š๐™—๐’๐™ค๐™ซ๐“ฎ๐’.๐“ฌ๐’๐™ข

Nathan grinned at Chris knowing that he already knew the answer but not wanting to confirm it, but he would not give in. "Are you telling me that you donโ€™t know?"

Chris sighed, "We are married so thereโ€™s always a possibility. But I knew that she would be soon. I was just not expecting it to be now."

"Then maybe itโ€™s because of your unstable wolf. I sensed heartbeats within her," Nathan revealed.

Chris straightened his back, utterly surprised but excited at the same time. "Heartbeats? More than one?"

"Yes, and thatโ€™s aside from her own heartbeat. But donโ€™t get your hopes too high. Itโ€™s too early to say and we donโ€™t know what will happen in the future," Nathan remarked.

"He is right, Christopher. Donโ€™t let this good news distract you from our goal. We already planned to go to the White Shadow Mountain. Now that Elsa wonโ€™t be with us we just need to make some adjustments," Andrius reminded them.

"That is correct but you must hurry. King Mordrak plans to marry my daughter..." Nathan divulged, changing Chrisโ€™ mood.

He stood up and slammed both hands on the table. "What are you saying? Sheโ€™s already mated to me!"

"She made a deal with the demon king. If he would release us and give us the cure for your hecatolite poisoning, then she would marry him. But I think Milda and Mordrak already anticipated her move so they did not give her the cure and also planned to kill us," Nathan said.

Chris was exasperated and paced around the hall trying to stop himself from shifting right then and there and attack Kurzen.

[You will not allow that demon king to take our mate, right?] Yakobo asked and was worried as well.

โ€™Of course not! Why are you even thinking that!โ€™ he scolded his wolf.

"I-I donโ€™t understand, what does he want from Elsa? Sheโ€™s already married to me so what could he possibly want from her?"

"I am not sure as well. It could be because of her power. But I also heard the demon king say before that he had fallen in love with her when he saw her here in Arcanis," Nathan answered.

"Thatโ€™s bullshit! Demons have no heart. They donโ€™t know how to love anything or anyone! He better not touch my wife or I am going to fucking tear him to pieces!" Chris could feel his blood boiling and his body felt literally hot.

It was as if he would explode due to too much anger. His face turned red and he could feel his wolf gradually going berserk. His nails and fingers were slowly growing, turning into claws and black fur started appearing on his skin.

"Fuck! Not now! Yakobo! Stop!" Chris groaned. He could feel Yakoboโ€™s wrath and he was definitely losing control of him.

They didnโ€™t notice Elandir leaving the hall and when he came back, he injected Chris with the remaining potion that Elsa saved for him.

Chris immediately calmed down. He propped his elbows on the table after seating and rested his head on both hands. "Nathan, I mean Father, do you know whatโ€™s the cure for hecatolite poisoning?"

Nathan stared at Elandir who also stared back at him meaningfully.

"Iโ€™m sorry, even angels do not have the answer to everything," Nathan said.

"Fine, so we canโ€™t rescue my wife first. We donโ€™t have any choice but to wake up the mages first before attacking Kurzen. Letโ€™s proceed with our plan then. Letโ€™s hope that Mordrak will not throw away that potion."

**********

Elsa woke up with a stabbing pain in her head, her vision was blurry. She rubbed her temples for several minutes and blinked repeatedly before she could finally grasp where she was.

She found herself in a luxurious and majestic room. She knew she was in Kurzen, as she had overheard conversations around her when she was brought inside the carriage.

โ€™Iโ€™m just glad they didnโ€™t catch my dad and Rocco. I need to think of another plan to get out of here,โ€™ she thought to herself.

Elsa had tried to stay awake as long as possible after Milda threw the glass bottle at her feet, releasing a sleeping spell. But upon hearing that Milda and the demons had failed to capture Nathan and Rocco, she finally relaxed and passed out.

Now, she looked around, searching for anything that could help her escape. She also scanned the room for possible exit points.

There were three doors and two windows. The room was fully furnished, with everything looking classy and extravagant. The colors of the furniture and decorations were light, quite unexpected for a demon kingdom.

She walked towards the windows and checked each one to see what was outside. She was surprised to see a very colorful garden outside. It has a lot of different flowers and plants.

When she checked the other window, it was facing a pond and the view was mesmerizing as well. โ€™Hmm... This is surprising. It is quite beautiful...โ€™

The first door she checked led to the roomโ€™s bath chamber. Moving to the next door, she found it locked and decided she would find something to pick it later. She then approached the third door.

Carefully, she turned the knob, trying not to alert anyone who might be on the other side. As she opened the door just enough to peek through, she was surprised to see another roomโ€”a luxurious living room.

โ€™Wow, this looks like a presidential suite in a 5-star Mediterranean hotel from my world,โ€™ she mused.

She was fascinated by such fanciness in the demon kingdom, which was far from what she had imagined.

Turning around, she noticed two more doors and headed for the one closest to the window, hoping it was the exit she sought. She turned the knob and smiled upon finding it unlocked.

Entering, she found another bedroom, different from the last. However, she didnโ€™t stay long, her focus was on escaping that place. Spotting two more doors, she moved towards one, but froze as it suddenly opened.

Her heart pounded as she watched the person entering, praying it wasnโ€™t Milda or the demon king.

"AHH!!!"

Elsa screamed at the sight of what was behind the door.
