Chapter 320: More Pages

Elsa felt cold, very cold, and when she opened her eyes everything was white.

"Where the hell I am?" she murmured and looked around.

"Shit! This is a dream," she said after seeing the familiar surroundings and upon seeing the snowy mountain.

She turned around to see what else was in there but she found none. She decided to walk and find the well that was in her dream before, knowing now that it was the key to unlock the cave.

But just after a few steps, she heard something move in the bushes. She instantly became alert and wary of her surroundings as she scanned the area and again found none.

When she decided to walk again, she saw the bush not far from her move, She took a step back and exclaimed, "Who’s there?"

After a few moments, she heard a whine that sounded like it was coming from a small animal and it sounded hurt.

She quickly pushed away the bush to see what was under it. She smiled when she saw a wolf pup strangled in thorny vines. It was alright but the thorns of the vines pricked its skin causing it to have small cuts on its legs and face.

"Looks like you’ve got yourself into trouble huh?" Elsa said to the wolf pup and started removing the thorny vines around its body.

The wolf pup was so happy to her that it wouldn’t stop licking her hands as she helped it get free. After successfully removing everything, the pup jumped onto her and licked her face making her laugh.

"Haha! Stop that, let’s get you cleaned up. We must clean your wounds even if they are small or else they will get infected."

Elsa carried the pup and looked for a water source nearby. While walking the pup whined again and when Elsa looked at it, she noticed a huge thorn that was half buried in its paw, and it was bleeding.

"Oh no! This one is deep. Hang on little one, I can’t remove it yet until we find water to clean it. Don’t worry I will heal you as soon as the dirt is gone."

Elsa walked faster as she tried to remember where she found the well before. Her memory did not fail her. She recognizes the landscape and heads towards the location of the well.

The water in the well was high enough for her to reach, she dipped her hand to check if it was too cold for the little pup. "Wow, there must be a hot spring nearby that’s supplying the water," she commented after discovering that the water is warm and that’s why the well is not frozen even though it’s on the snowy mountain.

She carefully removed the thorn that got stuck on the wolf pup’s paw and blood immediately gushed out causing the pup to howl.

"So sorry, but we have to remove it."

Elsa cupped her hand to get water from the well, but before she could pour it into the pup’s bleeding wound, a drop of its blood fell into the well. The water turned red and the ground began to shake causing Elsa to step away from it.

"What is happening?" she exclaimed.

Soon the shaking of the ground became too strong and she lost balance. She heard a loud noise that sounded like rocks breaking apart. Elsa looked around and saw the tall rock wall nearby slowly disintegrating until its opening was revealed.

"Is that a cave?" she asked herself.

A bright light suddenly emerged from her peripheral view and when she looked down, she saw the pup wolf with its tongue sticking out looking happy while staring at her. It no longer has small cuts and wounds and is protected by that bright yellow light, similar to her divine protection shield but much smaller.

She stared at the wolf pup, confused about what was going on, and noticed its gray eyes turned red similar to Chris’.

"Rocco?" she asked the wolf pup and it licked her face once again before jumping off her arms.

It shook its body, expelling all the dirt that stuck to its fur while playing a while ago before it raised its head and released the cutest howl that Elsa had ever heard.

It then looked at her wagging its tail before running into the cave.

"Rocco!" Elsa yelled before opening her eyes.

"My Queen, are dreaming of the prince?" a servant asked while staring at her.

Elsa looked around her and saw that she was back in their room. She stared back at the servant with a questioning look.

"I apologize if I woke you up. The King is still in a meeting with the council and told me to add more firewood to the furnace because you might get cold while sleeping."

"It’s alright. You can go."

Elsa was bothered by her dream, so she took her robe and cloak and went to the castle grounds. It was already evening but from there she could still see the snowy peak of the White Shadow Mountain.

"Elsa..."

She turned around and saw Elandir. "I thought you already left?" she asked the elf.

"I did, but Hera asked me to go back and talk to you. She was able to unveil more pages from the book. And I think I have bad news for you. The unlocking of the cave entrance might not be as easy as we thought."

Elsa gazed back at the White Shadow Mountain with a heavy sigh and said, "I know, Elandir. I just woke up from my dream. I dreamt of that mountain." She pointed her finger to the snowy mountain before continuing.

"In my dream, I found a playful wounded dirty wolf pup. I tried to clean it up in the well. But its blood dropped to the well and turned red. The entrance to the cave opened up. Do you know what it means, Elandir?" Elsa asked Elandir.

"I’m sorry, you are going through this, I know it’s hard..." was his only reply.

"That’s right. It is hard since Rocco is in Kurzen. But I have a way of getting him back without spilling blood..."
