The Royal Mark-Chapter 242: Need to Confess
Tallor was running to go to Elsa and stopped when she saw her running his way as well. "My Queen!" Tallor called out in the hallway. "It’s King Christopher!"
"I know, I felt him. Let’s go, tell me what happened," Elsa instructed while running in the hallway with Tallor and Rylie.
"We removed his constraints to change it but then he started shaking. He opened his eyes and it turned from red to gray. I have never seen him in his werewolf form with gray eyes. It has always been red ever since he got his wolf, Yakobo," Tallor narrated.
"Tallor, go and find Arla, she’s currently looking for healers, I need 2 more and 1 werewolf that’s very good at listening to heartbeats. Also, find me more alphas like you that can absorb pain," Elsa said when they arrived at Chris’ room.
"Anything else you need, My Queen, before I go?" Tallor confirmed.
"I need the liquor that has the highest alcohol content in the castle," Elsa instructed.
Tallor and one of the werewolves who helped carry Chris inside briskly went out of the room to do Elsa’s order.
’Lexi, I need you here. Chris is in trouble. Bring a sharp knife, needles, and threads,’ Elsa said through their link.
’I’ll be right there,’ Lexi replied and quickly left Baahu and Kaizer in Alaric’s chamber.
"What can I do, Your Majesty?" Rylie offered.
"Find clean cotton fabric and linens, I will start checking him," she then turned to the two werewolves by Chris’ side. "You two, tie up both his arms and legs to the bedpost and hold him after that. We don’t want any accidents to happen," the two nodded and did what Elsa commanded.
Elsa hovered her hands over Chris’ body and used her divine magic to check any dark magic that Yvonne might have cast on him. She started from his head going down. She did it thrice but she did not find something that could be dispelled or healed.
"I tried my best to get here as fast as I could, Luna," Lexi uttered.
"Your timing is just perfect. I am done checking any dark magic, but it’s weird I do not find anything, but, there’s something that doesn’t belong to his body. When you said something was implanted, I was thinking of something like the magical worm Yvonned used before.
There’s nothing like that but I can sense an earth-like object around his stomach. Do you know where did that bitch implanted whatever it was?" Elsa asked Lexi.
"No, I don’t, but I could find the servant who saw it and ask," she answered.
"It will take time and we need to act now."
"I’m back!" They shifted their gaze towards the door and saw Tallor and Arla together with two human healers, one werewolf priestess, and five other alphas. Tallor lifted his arm and waggled the bottle in his hands. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
"Perfect everyone is here. Rylie, take the spot in front of me. Mages, each of you will assist me and Rylie. Priestess, please stay behind Chris’ head. I need you to place your hand on his neck and monitor his heartbeat, inform me if there are any changes."
Everyone acted fast and took their position.
"Arla, can you check Chris’ upper stomach, I can sense an object inside that resembles the properties of the earth." She then looked at Tallor and said, "Tallor, give me that liquor."
Elsa quickly opened up the bottle and poured it on her hands, the knife, and needles before telling Rylie and the healers to do the same.
Elsa noticed Arla frown while hovering her hand to Chris’ stomach.
"You’re right, My Queen. Whatever is inside him, it’s definitely made of earth and it’s hard like a stone," Arla informed her.
"Just like what I thought. Thank you, Arla." Elsa turned to the other werewolves including Tallor, "Alphas, I need you to take turns absorbing Chris’ pain. What I will do is very painful and he might become aggressive if he feels too much pain. We will start."
Elsa poured a generous amount of liquor into Chris’ stomach area before taking the sharp knife from Rylie. Tallor and the alphas gasped with their eyes wide when Elsa cut through Chris’ skin.
Werewolves heal fast and operating on someone is very uncommon for them. But seeing their Queen, slice the stomach of their King is on a whole new level.
One of them turned pale and was about to puke, which Elsa heard.
"Get out! If you can’t handle this, you don’t deserve to be serving your King. He risked his goddamn life to free your kingdom. So if seeing his blood and insides will disgust you, get out now!" Elsa exclaimed in a stern voice.
"I apologize, Luna. I will stay and get hold of myself," one of the alphas replied.
Everyone stayed quiet and focused after that. The six alphas took turns absorbing Chris’ pain, resulting in a smooth operation for Elsa.
"What is this?" Elsa asked after cutting deep enough to expose Chris’ stomach and liver.
"What can you see, Your Majesty?" Arla curiously questioned. Even though she’s a healer, it’s very rare for her to see the internal organs of a human, moreover a werewolf.
"There’s something inserted into his liver. Hold this," Elsa answered and handed the knife to Rylie.
She sticks her hand into Chris’ body making one of the alphas faint and drop on the ground with a loud thud.
"Did someone faint?" Elsa asked while her fingers were busy locating the object she was looking for.
"Uhm, yes. One of the alphas, Luna," Tallor replied.
Elsa rolled her eyes and said, "I will remind Chris to train his alphas harder. Looks like his alphas are becoming weak."
The five remaining conscious alphas stood straight and made themselves look strong, not wanting to receive a punishment from their King and Queen.
"Got it, Lexi, hand me that tray. Rylie slice this part here just a little so I can pull this out," she pointed the spot to Rylie by tapping her finger on Chris’ liver.
Everyone was astonished when Elsa pulled out an off-white stone from Chris’ liver. She quickly put it on the tray that Lexi was holding and instructed Arla. "Arla, can you find out what kind of object or stone is that?"
"Yes, I could ask Baahu or the other earth mages," she answered.
"Alright, go now. Bring Lexi with you." After instructing Arla, she turned back to Rylie and the healers. "I will start stitching him up. Is his heartbeat still good?"
"Yes, still normal, Your Majesty," the priestess answered.
Everyone watched Elsa closely with amazement as she skillfully stitched Chris’ liver and closed him up after.
Once Elsa had finished closing him up, Rylie and the two healers started healing him up while Elsa washed her hands. They were surprised but happy when Chris started shifting back to his human form as they continued to heal him.
Elsa joined in, in healing Chris. And in no time, his wound was gone.
"His healing rate is still slow, is this normal for a true alpha?" Elsa asked Tallor.
"If the object that you removed has something that can poison a werewolf, then yes. The king would need time to completely heal. He only healed this fast because of your help, but inside, he might still feel pain and will still feel weak when he wakes up."
"Alright, he can rest as much as he wants. The important thing is that he is now out of the woods. Stay here with the priestess, Rylie and I will check Alaric next. Don’t hesitate to call me if there are any changes to Chris."
Elsa was already so tired. Operating on her husband is already tiring but she also healed him with her divine magic which used up a lot of her mana and that added to her fatigue.
She and Rylie went to Alaric’s room and saw three of Zemaria’s healers healing him. In the room were Drake, Baahu, Kaizer, and Arla.
"Elsa, I recognized the stone that you got from Chris," Drake told her right away. "It is called Hecatolite. It messes up a werewolf’s transformation. It is poisonous to them when ingested but they could heal from it. But since it was implanted in him, my assumption is that, the witch queen wanted to kill Chris’ inner wolf. That way, she could control him better."
"That’s a huge possibility. I still need to observe him and hopefully, he will wake up soon. How is Alaric?"
"Not good, Your Majesty," one of the healers said. "We think that he might not survive."
"It doesn’t matter if I die, I just want to make sure that Neia is safe before I go," Alaric said.
"Hoven, Elandir, and the rest are looking for her now. I will make sure they find her. She is my sister-in-law and I will join the rest in finding her as soon as I am sure that my husband is safe," Elsa said in a neutral voice.
Deep inside she was trying her best not to kill the man in front of him. Even though she hates him so much for endangering everyone’s lives, she still thinks that it’s up to Chris to decide what to do with his uncle.
"I need to speak with Christopher. I need to confess something to him before I die," Alaric revealed.
"I am here, uncle..." Chris uttered, attracting everyone’s attention and making Elsa worry the most.
