The Royal Mark-Chapter 236: Hunt My Best Friend
"So, this was your plan all along? All the doubts of Chris that I dismissed back in Novus were true all along. How could you do this to me?" Elsa roared as her tears continued to fall while staring at the witch queen. ππ³ππππ¦π£π―β΄π£π¦π.π€ππ
"Well, what can I do? You were so hungry for love that I didnβt even sweat manipulating you. But it has been a great experience honestly. I learned a lot from Novus and now I can use it to experiment on Christopher," Queen Yvonne said.
"Donβt you dare touch my husband!"
"But I will, and he will no longer be your husband once he marks me. Three more days princess and your mate bond will be gone."
The witch queen then signaled to her werewolf soldiers to take them but Gavin started shifting.
"No, you donβt!"
With the flick of Queen Yvonneβs fingers, Gavinβs whole body shuddered until he lost consciousness.
"Didnβt Lexi tell you that those metal chokers could electrocute you? Or perhaps you think that you can fight it? Vectus has a long way to go before it can pick up on the technology of Novus."
Queen Yvonne turned to the witches and said, "Bring those three werewolves to the tower but donβt touch Laureen. I still need her. As for the humans, bring them to the dungeon. I will deal with them tomorrow, itβs late, and I need my beauty rest."
"Wait! Donβt you dare walk away from me!" Elsa called out but the witch queen kept walking and did not spare her even a single glance.
"NADEL!!!"
The soldiers quickly took them to the dungeons where they saw a lot of werewolf prisoners. Elsa looked around looking for something when the soldiers left.
"Ciel, they did not see Ciel. Has anyone seen her?" she asked her mages.
"No, princess. She could have hidden herself when she sensed that someone was coming," Baahu said.
"Princess... I will speak for everyone since I know they also wanted to ask you this question. Do you know the witch queen?" Rylie asked with hesitation.
"Yes... Sheβs my best friend in Novus, or at least I thought she was. I never doubted her, but Chris did the moment he saw her. My dogs never liked her and I didnβt suspect anything, thinking that they were just jealous of her.
I loved her like a sister and she made me happy but it was just her play, she was just pretending all along. Iβm so stupid!" Elsa slammed the prison bars in anger but Arla gently pulled her away from it and made her sit.
"You are not, she took advantage of your innocence back then. But now you have us, we will defeat her together."
"But how?" Elsa asked in complete somber.
[By merging with me...]
Elsa looked around to find Ciel and saw her peeking through the small window with iron bars.
"Ciel!" Elsa exclaimed causing everyone to turn their gaze to the small window.
[I knew there was something evil with that Nadel. Her aura gives off a bad vibe. But sheβs still stupid. I think she never knew about us,] Ciel said.
"Ciel, will you be able to let us out?" Elsa asked.
[I canβt on my own. I am still a dog. But I will ask for help. Stay there and donβt do anything stupid,] Ciel implored before running off.
"What did Ciel say, Your Highness?" Kaizer questioned.
"She will look for help. If only I could merge with her, but this choker will surely kill us if we use our magic. It was strong enough to knock out a werewolf and it would surely put an end to a human like us."
Hours passed by and the sun rose but there was no sign of Ciel. Everyone had fallen asleep while waiting and also to rest for they knew once Elsaβs dog was back there would surely be a fight.
Except for Baahu...
He sat by the iron bars trying to see if someone would open the door and hoping that it was Lexi. He didnβt know what happened to her or if she was safe.
The sun was already high up in the sky when someone came in. A soldier and a servant went in with bread and water.
Baahu took that opportunity to ask for his wife. "Do you know where Lady Lexi is?"
The servant frowned and looked at the soldier who nodded. "Lady Alexandra is with Princess Neia attending to her needs."
"Is she ok? Did the witch queen hurt her?" Baahu worriedly asked but the soldier placed his spear in between them.
"Enough. Your task is done here. Go back to work."
Baahu did not stop the servant, not wanting to cause trouble for the poor lady.
And when both were gone, Baahu turned to Elsa and said, "Princess, I will try to use my magic. From what I understand, this works like lightning and my magic can make a shield strong enough to withstand a bolt of lightning."
"No, you will not do something stupid like that. If something happens to you, Lexi will be sad and I will not be able to forgive myself."
"But Your Highness, the queen might just use Lexi like how she used Laureen."
"Listen to your princess, because she is right! No need to do anything dangerous because I am here to free you."
"Elandir!" Elsa exclaimed and saw Ciel beside the elf.
"I had to beg my father to give back my power so I could portal other people and not only myself since I had to bring Ciel to Hera so she could translate what Ciel was saying. Then she made this."
Elandir handed Elsa a small device with copper wires and batteries. He then added, "Hera said that it will only work to one choker so choose wisely who are you going to free."
"What is this?" Elsa asked as she inspected the device.
Elandir facepalmed himself and uttered, "I thought you know what it is. Hera said to give it to you to deactivate the choker."
"Hmm, if it can deactivate an electronic device then it could be an EMP. But how did my mother know how to make one?"
"I have no idea, ask her later but hurry and choose who you will free. The guards might come back soon," Elandir urged.
Elsa looked at her mages as she thought carefully about who to free first and how the others would be free as well.
"Baahu, you said that earth magic could not be affected by lightning right?" Elsa inquired and Baahu nodded.
Without waiting any further, Elsa placed the EMP device on the choker and it instantly unlocked and fell to the ground.
"Baahu, I will free you next. Kaizer I want you to watch what will I do because I want both of you to do the same to every prisoner in this dungeon. Now that Neia is in Arcanis, we will no longer wait for the blood moon. We will fight today!"
Elsa lifted her hands and pointed them to Baahuβs neck, "Lutum monilia operientes."
Everyone watched closely as Baahuβs choker became covered with dirt and when it hardened, Elsa cast another spell.
"Ignem intus conburet monile!"
The dirt that covered the choker slowly cracked and smoke started to seep through the gaps. They heard an indistinct burst before the choker broke into pieces and fell to the ground.
Next, she let Baahu practice on Kaizerβs choker. "Baahu, make sure that the dirt is as hard as a rock before you stop."
Baahu immediately tried it, "Lutum monilia operientes."
"Nice work. Thatβs perfect." Elsa then burned from within Kaizerβs choker.
Once done, she instructed Kaizer, "Kaizer, once Baahu is done, you have to burn the choker inside at a very high temperature to completely smolder it without activating it."
"Got it, Princess."
"Now go, free the rest of my people," Elsa ordered.
"Stay back," Baahu told Elandir and Ciel. When the two were far enough, he lifted his hand and the ground rose up in sync, destroying the prisonβs iron bars.
He and Kaizer quickly ran to the next cell and did the same.
Elsa turned to Arla next, "I will free you next and I want you to help those two, so we can free everyone as soon as possible."
Arla nodded and swiftly followed her brother and Kaizer as soon as she was free. Elsa then freed Rylie and said, "Follow them too. Heal everyone that needs healing. I am counting on you."
When Dasherβs choker dropped to the ground, he questioned, "What are we going to do next, Your Highness?"
Elsa looked at Elandir who gave him a smirk before turning her gaze back to Dasher and she smiled. "We are going to hunt my best friend. I will put an end to that bitch, something that I should have done a long time ago. She will regret everything she had done especially coming into my life!"
