Chapter 221: Let’s Party

"Your Highness! Please stop right now! As your main healer, I order this battle to end right at this moment!" Rylie yelled at Elsa and Elandir.

Rylie is always the calm one in their group and when everyone heard her screaming like that, they halted and looked at her.

"Rylie, are you ok?" Elsa asked in worry after seeing Rylie’s face in distress.

"Princess, I should be the one worrying about you, your arms are bleeding. Let me see that..."

"Oh, this? It’s nothing, I had more injuries earlier, but a healer passed by and healed me. These are new ones but they are not deep," Elsa uttered casually.

Rylie abruptly grabbed her arms, surprising Elsa, "I’ll heal you now, Arla and Prince Drake are getting married tonight and these arms won’t do."

"Wait... What? I didn’t know you were engaged already. Oh boy, I missed a lot!" Elsa addressed to Arla.

"Well, we were not. He proposed today and I said yes. However, he also told the king and my mother that he wanted to get married today and I also said yes," Arla said the last part shyly.

Elsa laughed at how red Arla’s face was. "Well, it’s better than never right? Oh, shoot! What will I wear? I don’t know if I have clothes for such an occasion."

"I was thinking the same, Your Highness," Rylie said.

"Elandir, you can head first inside. There will be a wedding tonight perhaps you can borrow some clothes from my uncles," Elsa suggested.

"Yeah, I heard your conversation. I’ll go on then," Elandir who was very far from them said, his elf hearing made it possible for him to unintentionally listen to the chatter of the ladies.

"How about you, Arla? Do you already have something to wear? It is also sudden for you," Elsa asked in curiosity.

"Maybe I will just wear something white from my closet," she replied.

"My mother has a lot of dresses from her closet, how about we check if we find something we like?" Elsa proposed making Arla and Rylie smile as they nodded.

After Rylie fully healed Elsa, they checked Hera’s clothes. Rylie and Elsa were able to pick something for themselves but it was not the same for Arla. Nothing is white in Hera’s closet and no dress was appropriate for a wedding as well.

Arla was already feeling down since she was also aware that nothing in her closet would fit the occasion until they heard a knock.

Rylie opened the door and Lady Constance came in with a huge box in her hands.

"Arla, dear, I am not sure if you would like this but there’s no time to buy a dress. This is my wedding gown when I was your age, if you don’t like it I will try to find another one."

Arla picked up the dress and checked herself in the mirror. "Mother, this is perfect. I love it!"

Lady Constance’s eyes welled up while looking are Arla happily looking at herself in the mirror.

"There is no time to waste girls! Let’s get ready but first, we must take a shower! I stink!" Elsa declared causing everyone to laugh.

Only a few were invited not only because it was all of a sudden, but because they shared the same group of friends since Drake used to train with Hera and her mages.

Everyone took their position and waited for the bride to walk in. She was escorted by her big brother Baahu, who was more emotional than their mother, Lady Constance.

King Allister made sure to keep the ceremony sweet and short, knowing that everyone including the bride and groom was looking forward to the celebration afterward and not so much on the ceremony.

"Congratulations to the new husband and wife!" King Allister exclaimed after Drake kissed Arla and added, "Welcome to the Van der Aart family, my daughter-in-law."

And with that, music started playing and fortunately, the cook was able to make it time and was able to make everything that Mistress Valeria asked him to cook.

"How does it feel to be married, brother?" Andrius teased Drake.

"Well, I don’t know yet. I will tell you when you introduce to us your soon-to-be wife!" Drake teased back and everyone laughed.

"Yeah, Andrius, maybe Grandpa should hold a ball and invite all the single ladies in Zemaria so you can choose a bride. Or else you might grow old single and not ready to mingle anymore!" Elsa chimed in, causing another round of laughter.

The laughter suddenly stopped, causing the elders at the other table to look their way.

"Uhm, congratulations, brother. I am hesitant to attend your wedding but I figured that it’s better to celebrate with you," Princess Milda said.

Drake was stunned at first. He did invite her but her lady-in-waiting refused to let him in her room earlier. Either way, his expression changed from a surprised to a happy one, making Milda smile as well.

"I would love you to be here on my special day sister," Drake uttered and hugged Milda.

"Whoa! This is what I am talking about, let’s party!" Baahu shouted and everyone cheered with him.

Everyone started walking to the dance floor and danced, some were drinking to their heart’s content.

Drake and Arla watched their family and friends celebrate their union. But of course, it is not complete without the consummation of their marriage.

Drake grasped the hand of Arla and gave it a little squeeze to get her attention.

Arla looked his way and cocked her head with questioning eyes.

"Let’s go," he said.

Arla squinted her eyes, not sure of what Drake was saying.

"Let’s get out of here..."

"But people will look for us," Arla replied.

"These people are drunk. Look at them. Even my sister, Milda is drunk and dancing like no one is watching. Let’s go to my room, which is by the way your room now too."

Arla nodded and smiled mischievously making Drake more excited. He quickly stood up and gently dragged his bride out of the chaos of the great hall.
