The Royal Mark-Chapter 201: My Baby
The months passed by quickly and Elsa had learned little by little how to control her earth element. She can now revive dying plants, feel vibrations from the ground, and lift small pieces of rocks or dirt that can be used for an attack.
However, despite her smooth training with her earth element, Gaia still hasn’t merged with her.
"Mom, when do you think Gaia will become part of me again?" Elsa asked while gazing out the kitchen window and watching Ciel sleep on the porch while Gaia played with her ball.
Hera walked closer to Elsa and gently rubbed her baby bump as she remarked, "Maybe you need to learn more earth spells or maybe she is waiting for this kiddo to come out. Be patient, it’s almost time anyway. Once the little prince or princess is out then you can go all out on your training."
"I am just worried, what if I never get her back? It has been more than four months since last week that I learned to control my earth element but I asked Gaia and she said she feels a connection between us but there’s no pull," Elsa expressed with concern.
"You tend to fret too much, sweetheart. I’m confident you’ll reunite with Gaia, but for now, focus on your little one," Hera reassured, planting a kiss on Elsa’s forehead before exiting the kitchen.
As usual, for the last four months, Elandir arrived in a carriage to pick up Elsa for her daily training with Queen Ydril. But this time the queen was with him.
"Oh, Your Majesty, there’s really no need for you to come all the way here to pick up my daughter. Training her is already a tremendous favor," Hera expressed upon seeing Elandir and Ydril at her doorstep.
"Good morning, Your Majesty. Where are we going?" Elsa asked as soon as she arrived at the front door.
"I really planned to go here since we are changing the venue for her training today. It might be more effective for Elsa," the queen explained.
"Hmm, I still have two weeks until my baby arrives, so I believe it should be fine. What do you think, Mom?" Elsa responded.
After pondering for a moment, Hera replied, "Hmm, it might be a good idea. The learning environment can significantly impact magic training. Just to be on the safe side, let me gather some essentials for the baby and you, in case it decides to make an early appearance. We never know; it’s better to be prepared than sorry."
Elsa nodded in agreement, saying, "You’re right, but I’ll assist you with the packing."
"Elandir, Your Majesty, if you want you can wait for us in the kitchen, I cooked some soup and eggs for breakfast," Hera offered to the elves.
The queen suggested, "How about we help you pack that food and bring it along with us?"
Hera smiled and nodded before heading upstairs to gather their belongings.
When everything was set, the four together with Ciel and Gaia went ahead to the east and Elsa had only slept during their journey.
"She looks tired. Did she practice last night?" Queen Ydril asked Hera.
"No, Your Majesty. The baby is keeping her awake with all the kicking," Hera answered.
"I can’t believe she will give birth soon. Werewolf babies really grow up fast. And the blood moon is also fast approaching. Do you think she is ready for that?" the queen questioned Hera.
"I think she is, but not merging with Gaia and Ciel is bringing her confidence down," Hera answered.
"I don’t know if you have heard, but the mountains in the east are rich in black onyx, and they say that is it a powerful enhancer for earth magic," Elandir informed Hera.
"Is that why you want Elsa to train there, Your Majesty?" Hera probed.
"Yes. We even have a collection of it in the house since it is very hard to mine for it lies very deep in the mountains and we, elves do not want to disturb nature as much as possible," Queen Ydril said.
Even though their travel took a while, Elsa never felt all the bumps that they encountered on the road for she was sleeping the whole time until they arrived at their destination.
"Honey, wake up. It’s time to get off the carriage," Hera called out to Elsa.
"Did we arrive? I am so sleepy. I bet I will stay awake the whole night again," Elsa said while yawning.
"We still have an hour until luncheon why don’t you get settled while I check on the cook? They have been informed that we will arrive today," Queen Ydril said.
When the mother and daughter duo get to their assigned connecting room, Elsa slumps on the bed and mentions, "I think I will continue my nap before doing anything else. I think this baby is nocturnal, always awake at night."
"Go ahead dear. Sleep while you still can, I will unpack our things," Hera said.
Elsa did not respond and just closed her eyes. But just within a few minutes, she felt the bed shaking.
"Earthquake!" Elsa exclaimed but when she opened her eyes, what welcomed her was the same old forest with the snowy mountain from afar.
"Shoot, I’m in my dream again," she said but immediately noticed that the ground was still shaking. "There’s really an earthquake!" 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦
Elsa looked around and saw dirt rolling to her feet. She looked up to the mountain and saw boulders big and small rolling down in her direction.
She started running as fast as she could and remembered her baby in her tummy so she supported her belly while running, only to find out that her stomach was as flat as it was before she got pregnant.
"What? I’m not pregnant here?" she uttered to herself as she kept running.
She was getting tired but every time she looked behind her she still saw the boulders rolling as if they were chasing her. Elsa saw something furry from afar, she squinted her eyes and saw a red wolf puppy the same color as Nuri, wagging its tail for her.
"Get out of here, puppy!" She shouted but the puppy only got excited and stood on its hind legs waiting for her as it barked.
When she was almost near it, it ran and kept looking at her until it turned right. It barked aggressively while staring at her.
"Does it want me to follow?" she murmured.
She did the same, and as she was about to go where the puppy was it ran again leading her to a cave. And as soon as she entered the cave, the boulders were gone.
Elsa panted hard as she held onto the wall supporting herself while catching her breath.
The wolf puppy barked again. When she looked at it, she saw a spring inside the cave.
"Oh, it’s inviting me to drink."
Elsa approached the wolf puppy and patted its head, "Thank you for helping me," before drinking from the spring. The water was cool, it definitely lessened her fatigue and thirst.
She picked up the pup who was still beside her wagging its tail, "Come here, little buddy. What are you doing alone in the forest? Where is your mama?"
The wolf puppy licked her face energetically making her laugh. "You are such an intelligent puppy, such a good boy... or girl?" She then lifted the pup to check it’s gender.
"Good boy!" she said as she showered the wolf puppy with lots and lots of kisses before putting it back on the ground.
"Now, off you go. Go back to your mommy. She must be worried looking for you," Elsa gave the puppy a little push on its behind to make it walk away but it didn’t. It just stood in front of her staring at her.
"You don’t want to go? You can stay here. You are still young, you must go back to your mom."
She again pushed gently the puppy but it only whined and jumped on her lap and licked her again.
"Do you want me to bring you with me? I want to, but I can’t. I am only dreaming," she said to the pup who was giving her puppy eyes as if it as pleading.
She was about to grab the pup so she could put it back on the ground, it howled as loud as it could, but it could only create a short cute howl.
"Oh my goodness! Your howl is so cute! Do it again! I wanna hear your awoo!" Elsa said excitedly.
And as if the wolf pup could understand her it howled once more but this time it was longer.
"Good bo– aw, ouch!" Elsa was about to hug the little pup when she felt her tummy ache but immediately went away.
The pup licked her up and barked, "I am fine. Maybe it was just because I ran too fast.
"AWOO!" the pup howled once more, much louder and longer.
Elsa felt the pain in her stomach again and this time it was more intense.
"Oh my fucking god it hurts! AW!" It was so painful that she closed her eyes and realized that the pain was not stomachache, it was coming from her womb.
When she opened her eyes the puppy was on her face and looked very worried. And she saw its eyes, turned from gray to red. She gasped and covered her mouth. Her eyes welled up.
"Oh my God!" she exclaimed and hugged the pup tightly, "My baby," she said as tears completely fell from her eyes.
