Chapter 51: Chapter 50: Foreign Ghost Bureau! (Please add to favorites, vote for recommendations!)

After leaving the principal’s office, Qin Fan went straight off campus. He returned to the parking lot in the urban village, drove his Bentley out, and set the navigation for Horse Hoof Ridge in Gaozhou Prefecture before speeding off.

Meanwhile, in a mansion within the affluent district of Jiangzhou, a middle-aged man anxiously followed a man in a brownish-yellow robe who was holding a compass.

"Master Yi, where exactly is the problem? Have you found an answer?" the middle-aged man asked with unease.

"It’s not just a matter of your wealth energy dissipating anymore. The ominous energy is also being nurtured!" Yi Tianji said with a frown.

Wealth dissipating? Ominous energy being nurtured?

The middle-aged man’s expression changed drastically at these words. He swallowed nervously and asked, "Master Yi, would it help if I move out of here?"

"No! The foundation of this residence and the timing of your moving in were calculated based on the birthdates of your entire family! It’s directly tied to all of you! To put it simply, if this problem isn’t thoroughly resolved, not only will you face bankruptcy and poverty, but your entire family will be plagued by misfortune until it leads to your family’s destruction and death!" Yi Tianji said, his expression incredibly grave.

CLANG—

Hearing this, the middle-aged man’s legs gave out, and he staggered into a flowerpot. His face instantly turned as pale as paper.

"Master Yi, help me, please help me! I’ll pay whatever it takes to solve this problem!" the middle-aged man grabbed Yi Tianji’s hand, his voice trembling.

"Solving this problem isn’t difficult, but there is only one way," Yi Tianji said. "You must fill the entire backyard with Spirit Communication Grass. That will be enough to completely suppress the ominous energy. Your wealth energy will then slowly be nurtured back within the aura of the Spirit Communication Grass!"

"Where can I find Spirit Communication Grass? How can I get it? Master Yi, please, you must help me, no matter the cost!" the middle-aged man pleaded.

"Gaozhou Prefecture, Horse Hoof Ridge. I discovered it just last month while exploring the Foreign Ghost Bureau," Yi Tianji replied.

"Master Yi, let’s go! Let’s go now, right now!" the middle-aged man urged, unwilling to wait another moment.

"Alright!" Yi Tianji agreed. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺

The two swiftly left the mansion. The middle-aged man pulled out a top-of-the-line BMW 7 Series, and with Yi Tianji as his passenger, he floored the accelerator and sped away!

If Qin Fan were here, he would certainly have recognized the license plate. It was the very same one he had seen outside his house on his first day back home after his rebirth!

It was Zhou Yihang’s car!

And the middle-aged man was none other than Zhou Yihang himself.

Due to the butterfly effect of Qin Fan’s actions, Zhou Yihang no longer had to wait for his downfall at the hands of Zhou Xueman’s future fiancé. The torment Ye Jizu had inflicted on him over the past few days was already more than enough. The tragedy was that, even now, he had no idea who was secretly targeting and suppressing him.

The three-hundred-kilometer journey took Qin Fan less than three hours of high-speed driving to reach the jurisdiction of Gaozhou Prefecture. From there, another hour was lost to traffic before he finally arrived at Horse Hoof Ridge.

As soon as he stepped out of the car, he released his Divine Sense. Even though he was still at the foot of the ridge, a wave of rich Spiritual Energy surged toward him.

Suppressing his excitement, Qin Fan quickly made his way up Horse Hoof Ridge. Along the way, he saw many people dressed in robes, all with the distinct look of Feng Shui Masters. Even the hurried passersby spoke in a stream of Geomancy terms.

But Qin Fan had no interest in any of this. He held his head high and pushed forward, following the scent of the Gathering Spirit Grass.

A dozen or so minutes later, he stopped in his tracks.

Appearing before him were vast patches of strange-looking, dark green Gathering Spirit Grass. An incredibly dense wave of Spiritual Energy instantly flooded all of Qin Fan’s senses.

Gazing at such a large quantity of Gathering Spirit Grass, the corners of his eyes and mouth began to tremble uncontrollably.

This is exhilarating! Once I absorb the spiritual essence from all this Gathering Spirit Grass, thoroughly solidifying the initial stage of Qi Refinement will be an absolute certainty.

Even in his excitement, Qin Fan retained a measure of rationality. He looked up and scanned his surroundings. Although the sun was beginning to set, there were still many Feng Shui Masters, feng shui enthusiasts, and local villagers on the ridge. This environment was completely unsuitable for setting up an array to cultivate. Not only might the more skilled Feng Shui Masters notice something was amiss, but any interruption would also be detrimental to his cultivation. What Qin Fan needed was a completely quiet environment, which this clearly was not.

"Forget it. There’s no rush. I’ll just wait until later," he murmured to himself with a wry smile.

Qin Fan took out a yellow Talisman Paper he had prepared. He raised his right index finger, brought it to his mouth, and bit down gently. As blood began to well up, he circulated the True Qi within his Dantian, directing it to surge out of the small wound.

In that instant, Qin Fan used his finger as a pen and his blood as ink. Concentrating his energy, he began to draw swiftly across the yellow Talisman Paper.

WHOOSH—

The moment his finger stopped moving, the Talisman Paper erupted in a burst of golden light, looking incredibly sacred under the setting sun. It was a good thing no one was watching; otherwise, a scene like this would undoubtedly have caused a major commotion.

With the Talisman complete, Qin Fan lifted his finger back to his lips. The cut on his finger healed instantly and without a trace. The True Qi that had been surging through his body returned to his Dantian.

Holding the gleaming golden Talisman, Qin Fan didn’t hesitate. He tossed it directly into the center of the Gathering Spirit Grass Field.

The moment the Talisman landed among the plants, it vanished eerily, dissolving into a faint golden glow that descended over the entire field. In that silent, unseen moment, this patch of grass became a forbidden zone that no one could have possibly imagined. Forget picking or stepping on the grass—anyone who even tried to walk into the field would find themselves mysteriously redirected back to their starting point, as if caught in a ghost wall.

With that potential worry resolved, Qin Fan didn’t linger. He walked toward the people who were scattered about or gathered in groups nearby.

"Master, they say that if one can find the true Acupoint in this Foreign Ghost Bureau, it leads to a Feng Shui fortune that would produce kings for nine generations and prime ministers for ten. Is that story actually true, and not just a legend?" a few curious young men, who had been drawn here by its fame, asked a Feng Shui Master holding a compass.

"It is not a legend! The Foreign Ghost Bureau at Horse Hoof Ridge has existed since the time of Lai Buyi. Unfortunately, in all these years, the true Acupoint has never been located. If an ancestor were buried in this spot, their descendants would undoubtedly be of the caliber of Zhuge Liang or Liu Bowen! Huaxia’s Geomancy has been passed down for thousands of years, from the highest courts of the empire to the farthest reaches of the common folk. It has never been empty talk! A pity... I have searched here for three years, and still, I have found no clues!"

At this, the Master let out a self-deprecating sigh. He ignored the young men and turned to leave, looking down at the compass in his hand to continue his search.

Similar scenes were unfolding all around.

Qin Fan released his Divine Sense and swept it over the various compasses, discovering that not a single one was a Magic Artifact.

Using a compass that isn’t even a Magic Artifact to locate the true Acupoint of a once-in-a-century Feng Shui formation? How is that possible? Unless they have a stroke of incredible luck. But if they were that lucky, would they even need a compass? These people... forget three years, they couldn’t find the true Acupoint in three hundred years!

As Qin Fan was scoffing and shaking his head in disdain, a voice rang out from behind him.

"Young friend, what are you laughing at? What’s so funny, could you share it with us?"
