Chapter 360: Chapter 350: Kill His Connection!

The Gu Clan of Miao Territory? Miao Haohao, the Third Young Master of the Miao Family, designated as the next heir? Is there a connection between him and Qin Fan? Hearing the name, Yao Junxian was stunned.

Not only was Miao Haohao the designated next Clan Leader of the Miao Clan, but he was also Yao Junxian’s ideal candidate for a son-in-law. For years, the Miao Clan and Medicine Valley had entertained the idea of a marriage alliance. However, it was only with Yao Jianjia and Miao Haohao’s generation that this prospect began to materialize. Against this backdrop, at such a critical moment, Yao Junxian’s heart suddenly began to pound uncontrollably.

He responded with trepidation, "I know him. What’s happened?"

"Give me the location of the Miao Clan," Qin Fan said, nodding as if he had expected this.

"Divine Envoy, may I be so bold as to ask... what is your relationship with Miao Haohao?" Yao Junxian asked, forgetting his manners in his confusion.

"The kind of relationship where I kill him," Qin Fan stated, his brow tightening as his voice rang out with clear, arrogant pride.

The kind of relationship... where he kills him? The moment Qin Fan spoke, even the expressions of the five Valley Guardian Elders changed drastically.

Dammit, how did that brat from the Miao Clan get on the bad side of this Upper Divine?

"I wonder how the Miao boy provoked the Divine Envoy," one of the Great Elders blurted out instinctively.

His only response was a cold, sideways glare from Qin Fan.

Under that gaze, the Great Elder belatedly realized his blunder. He began to tremble in fear, stammering, "Divine Envoy, I-I-I misspoke! My apologies!"

"Valley Master Yao, have you remembered the location of the Miao Clan yet?" Qin Fan snorted, taunting Yao Junxian again.

"Divine Envoy, could I add you on WeChat? I can send you the location that way," Yao Junxian said, gritting his teeth. Betrayal is shameful, but do I have any other choice in this situation? No. I have none.

After a moment of silence, Qin Fan slowly nodded and pulled out his phone, opening his WeChat QR code.

DING. As soon as Qin Fan confirmed the friend request, Yao Junxian sent the saved location. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖

He muttered to himself, his heart heavy with guilt, "Old Miao, I’m sorry. I have no choice!"

"Alright, thanks." A smile touched Qin Fan’s lips as he looked at Yao Junxian. "Oh, and one more thing. Tell your daughter, Yao Jianjia, to give up any ideas about the Longevity Furnace. If she provokes me again, I can’t guarantee I won’t be ruthless."

"What! Divine Envoy, Jianjia... she and you...!" Yao Junxian’s face turned deathly pale. He trembled so hard he could not speak.

The apple of my eye... is also in conflict with Qin Fan?

"She’s my classmate now. Heh heh. Old Yao, I’ll leave it to you to handle."

Qin Fan gave Yao Junxian’s shoulder a meaningful pat, then walked away with long strides, phone in hand.

Behind him, the five Valley Guardian Elders, Yao Junxian, and the others were left completely stunned.

As he walked out of Medicine Valley, Qin Fan followed the path back through the bewildering maze, dialing Amber’s number as he went.

"Mr. Qin!" The call connected after three rings.

"Has Miao Haohao returned to school?" Qin Fan asked bluntly, his voice grim.

"No," Amber replied.

"Has he called you?"

"No. He probably thinks I’m dead. After all, you’ve already ground the Dead Man Gu to dust, Mr. Qin."

"Alright, that’s all. I’ll settle this score of the Dead Man Gu for you."

With that, Qin Fan ended the call. He slipped his phone back into his pocket, a cold, murderous intent surfacing on his face. From that moment on, the final countdown on Miao Haohao’s life had begun.

He vanished without a trace. Throughout the bustling Wawu Mountain tourist area, not a single person noticed his departure. Not even the 360-degree security cameras captured a trace of his figure.

By the time the sun’s afterglow began to fade, Qin Fan was already on a flight to Yunnan.

Stars began to dot the sky as night descended.

In a remote part of Yunnan, near the border with Myanmar, a cluster of bright lights shone from deep within a lush Forest Garden. Houses built of gray brick and white tile were arranged in a sprawling layout, forming a large, self-contained village.

Yet, from this seemingly ancient village, strange and incessant cries echoed through the air. These eerie sounds alone were enough to make an ordinary person’s legs turn to jelly.

"Third Young Master!"

"Third Young Master!"

"Third Young Master!"

Under the dim glow of the streetlamps, men and women dressed in dark, somber clothing called out to a young man walking down the street, their faces devoid of expression.

The young man remained silent, his own expressionless face etched with arrogance. Seemingly indifferent to their greetings, he maintained his cold demeanor and strode toward the largest house in the village, entering without a second glance.

"Father, Grandfather, I have returned," he said, his voice low as he entered the main hall and bowed deeply.

The moment he finished speaking, another youth seated nearby let out a derisive sneer. "Every Clan Leader must begin taming a Dead Man Gu in their youth. Only by defeating and killing the previous Clan Leader’s Gu do they earn the right to succeed the position. Unfortunately, *someone’s* Dead Man Gu died out in the world, which makes the rest of us envious, jealous, and resentful! We may not be the most talented, but at least we wouldn’t lose our Dead Man Gu on our first trip out of the nest. Alas, we don’t have the qualifications to tame a Dead Man Gu in the first place. What a pity, a real pity!"

Hearing the sarcasm dripping from his voice, Miao Haohao clenched his jaw. He said nothing, but the gloom on his face grew colder and darker.

"Shut your mouth! When did I give you permission to speak?"

BANG! The middle-aged man seated in the center of the hall slammed his teacup down on the large, square table. The cup shattered.

A dark-red Gu insect flew out from the shards. A moment later, it flew back to the back of the middle-aged man’s hand and burrowed inside, leaving no trace.

"Fine, so I have no right to speak. I get it. Enjoy your little games! Go on, keep nurturing your precious successor!" The young man shot to his feet and sneered at Miao Haohao. "My dear Third Brother, the waters outside are deep. Next time, try to test them before you dive in, heh heh."

Miao Haohao snorted, glancing at the youth. "I thank you for the advice, Elder Brother, but you needn’t worry yourself about how deep the water is."

"Have it your way! Good luck!" the youth cackled self-deprecatingly as he strode out of the hall.

"Stop right there!" the middle-aged man roared.

The youth paused for a fraction of a second, only to shake his head and keep walking.

Stop? Hell no. I’d have to be an idiot to listen to you.

"You go on and train your perfect heir. I won’t stick around and embarrass myself by interfering! Haha!"

With another burst of self-mocking laughter, the young man disappeared around a corner.
