Chapter 229: Chapter 225: Surging Malevolence! (6)

Owed something? The daughter of the great Gambling King, what could she possibly owe anyone? Before the crowd could puzzle out the meaning behind those words, they were stunned by the sight of an old man and a young man approaching.

Who were these two? Were their faces known among Macau’s upper echelon?

Unlike the bewildered majority, Li Juncheng and Huo Rufeng’s eyes widened in shock upon seeing Lai Zhuge. Lai Shenxiang? Why was he here? Huo Rufeng was no stranger to the man, having met him on several occasions.

Thinking of the ten billion, Li Juncheng’s expression darkened slightly. "Lai Shenxiang, why are you here?"

If he were on the mainland, perhaps he wouldn’t dare to renege on the ten billion. But this was Macau. Why should Li Juncheng care? Ten billion wasn’t a small amount, though it wasn’t astronomical either. To demand ten billion for a Life Extending Fruit that, according to Li Wenxuan’s description, was obtained without any effort? He’d be a real sucker if he paid up!

"Lai Shenxiang is my companion. I’m here to collect a debt. Are you satisfied with that answer, Mr. Gambling King?" Qin Fan said, playfully sizing up Li Juncheng. He studied the man’s features and couldn’t help but shake his head. A classic, treacherous face.

"What debt?" Huo Rufeng asked, furrowing his brow, taken aback by this unexpected development.

"A debt of a life for money. A debt of one hundred billion," Qin Fan said with a smirk.

"What did you say? One hundred billion?" Li Wenxuan and Li Juncheng exclaimed in unison.

"That’s right. It was originally ten billion, but because of your late payment and because I’ve changed my mind, it’s now one hundred billion, not a cent less! Pay up. Now. Immediately!" Qin Fan pointed at Li Wenxuan, his smile vanishing as he spoke in a cold, hard voice.

"Damn it, are you still asleep? Are you dreaming?!" Li Wenxuan, who had assumed Qin Fan had died deep in the wilds of Shennongjia, lost her previously shy and demure composure. At the mention of one hundred billion, she became incredibly aggressive, roaring out the words.

Hearing this, Lai Zhuge shook his head sadly, as if foreseeing what was about to happen.

Sure enough, the moment Li Wenxuan finished speaking, Qin Fan suddenly shot forward. The Li Family guards, ever-vigilant, noticed his movement and instantly rushed to shield Li Wenxuan. "Miss, be careful!" one of them yelled.

But as soon as the words left his mouth, Qin Fan’s sinister face magnified in his vision. Before the guard could even think to parry, Qin Fan sneered disdainfully, "Get lost!"

In a flash, his palm swung high and then lashed out, fiercely slapping the guard across the face!

CRACK!

The crisp sound of the slap echoed across the deck. To the astonishment of the onlookers, the Li Family guard was sent flying by the blow, his body tracing an arc as he plunged overboard into the sea more than ten meters away!

SPLASH!

The splash echoed as the water erupted high into the air. With a single slap, a man was sent flying off the deck. This was the first move in Qin Fan’s brutal lesson.

"Stop him!" Li Juncheng, Huo Rufeng, and Huo Shaojie all yelled in unison, their faces pale with shock.

WHOOSH! WHOOSH! WHOOSH!

Suddenly, a dozen hidden experts leaped out from the shadows, forming an encirclement as they pounced on Qin Fan.

"You’re courting death!"

Sensing the aggressive auras converging on him from all directions, the violent energy inside Qin Fan, which had not yet fully subsided, flared to life once more. A glint of gold flashed in his eyes as a chilling killing intent surged. After leaving the Qin Family, he had been itching to vent his pent-up fury but had suppressed it for lack of an outlet. Now that it was reawakened, he no longer held back.

He abruptly halted his advance on Li Wenxuan. As the words "courting death" left his lips, he leaped into the air to meet the guards rushing toward him, driving his knee into the chest of the foremost attacker.

BANG!

Struck by the sudden counterattack, the guard at the front had no way to defend himself. His chest felt as if it had exploded, and he was sent flying backward into the steel guardrail at the deck’s edge.

BOOM!

The heavy-duty steel railing twisted and buckled under the impact. The man crumpled to the ground, endlessly coughing up a gruesome mixture of blood and pulverized organs. His body convulsed a few times and then went still. One knee, one death. An instant kill.

Ignoring the fallen guard, Qin Fan grabbed another who had used the opening to attack him. He yanked the man close, clapped his hands on either side of his head, and gave a sharp twist in opposite directions. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎

CRACK!

With the sickening snap of a breaking neck, the guard’s head was wrenched completely around to face his back. He collapsed with a dead-eyed stare, not even having had time to scream.

"Kill!" The long-unspoken word escaped Qin Fan’s throat, fueled by a burning, bloodthirsty rage.

Without even looking, he lashed out with a knife-hand, precisely chopping at the throat of a guard attacking from his right. As that man fell, Qin Fan kicked off the deck and launched himself into the air, bringing both feet down with crushing force onto the heads of two more guards who were advancing shoulder to shoulder.

UGH! UGH! UGH!

Three muffled grunts sounded as the three guards collapsed, their lives extinguished in an instant. In just the blink of an eye, five men had become ghosts on the cruise ship.

But Qin Fan, his rage now fully unleashed, was not finished. His movements were like a phantom, cutting off any path of retreat for the remaining guards. There were no hysterical screams, only low, stifled grunts of pain. Wherever his afterimage passed, no one who fell ever got back up. Every move was a killing blow; every strike was fatal.

In less than a minute, all of the dozen or so guards Li Juncheng had stationed on the cruise ship had become souls for Qin Fan to vent his fury upon.

When he finally stopped, the very air on the cruise ship seemed to freeze. No one dared to breathe. Fear was etched onto every face, regardless of age or gender. In the span of a few heartbeats, over a dozen men had been killed without a single survivor. What kind of monster was this? And to slaughter people so openly—did he have no regard for the law?

Yet, no one was more terrified than Li Wenxuan and Li Juncheng. As the parties involved in the ten-billion-yuan debt, they understood all too well that this massacre stemmed from them. No, perhaps it was not ten billion anymore. It was one hundred billion.

A man with graying temples walked silently to Li Juncheng’s side. "Mr. Li," he said in a low voice, "I am not his match."

"What!" Li Juncheng’s legs gave way, and he nearly stumbled as he turned his head, his face a mask of horrified disbelief.

Even the powerful man beside me, who can defeat a top expert in three moves, is no match for that boy?

"Yes. Therefore, I will not make a move," the man stated calmly. "If I were to engage him, the only outcome would be death. There is no other possibility."

Hearing this, Li Juncheng’s mind buzzed and went completely blank.
