Chapter 304: Chapter 304: A Lifelong Promise

Ethan Caldwell lifted Julian’s face, noticing the young man’s shimmering eyes, looking as though a single word of rejection would make him burst into tears instantly. The man’s heart tightened. Aching for him, Ethan pressed a tender kiss to Julian’s eyelids: "From the very moment I told Dahlia Thorne that my future glory and disgrace would be shared with you, I had already made up my mind to spend my entire life with you."

"What I mean is... to love you for a lifetime. Julian, from that moment onward, it was already impossible for you to ever leave me."

Ethan Caldwell possessed his own brand of possessiveness. If everything before had merely been the responsibility of a life partner, he could have accepted letting Julian go to seek his own happiness, if the young man so desired.

However, the moment he confirmed in his heart that he harbored true feelings for this young man, Ethan Caldwell wanted nothing more than to bind Julian to his side for the rest of his life.

To live together in life, and if death came, to be buried together in the same grave.

Call him crazy if one must, after all, in this world, madmen sometimes live far more comfortably.

"Do you not know how to use your mouth to speak? Who could possibly understand when you say things like that!"

"Yes, I was wrong, I am sorry. Please do not cry, my baby, alright?" Ethan Caldwell felt his shirt collar grow slightly damp, immediately knowing that the person in his arms was shedding tears again. But when he tried to lift Julian’s face, the young man stubbornly refused. In the end, Ethan Caldwell could only gently pat his back, waiting patiently for Julian’s soft hiccups to subside.

A long while later, he heard the other’s muffled voice murmuring: "Since when?"

"Hmm? Since when for what?"

"Since when did you start liking me, and why do you like me?"

"I do not know for sure. It was just that night when you cried, I suddenly felt my heart clench. At that exact moment, I knew there was no turning back for me in this lifetime."

Which specific night it was, Ethan Caldwell did not clarify, and Julian did not press the question.

Perhaps it was the time when Julian was still putting on an act in front of the man, using crocodile tears to evoke his pity. Or perhaps it was one of those times when he felt so overwhelmingly wronged that he could not hold back, ultimately crying right in front of Ethan Caldwell.

It was not that important anyway.

As long as they knew they had each other in their hearts, that was enough.

Julian simply leaned against Ethan Caldwell for a long time, until his voice was no longer choked with hiccups, before he spoke up in a coquettish tone: "Carry me to take a bath."

His entire body was completely bare, and being buried in the blankets had caused him to sweat quite a bit. Julian felt sticky all over and wanted to wash himself clean.

Ethan Caldwell gave Julian’s body a couple of reassuring pats, then wrapped the blanket tightly around him: "Wait for me a moment, I will run the bathwater and then carry you inside."

Julian nodded.

Ethan Caldwell walked into the bathroom, conveniently grabbing a set of Julian’s black silk long-sleeved pajamas from his small suitcase to bring inside. A moment later, the man stepped back out: "Wrap your arms around my neck."

Julian obediently draped his arms around the man’s neck, and was then lifted, blanket and all, towards the bathroom. The air conditioning in the room was set rather low, and since Julian was not wearing any clothes, Ethan Caldwell was afraid he might catch a cold.

Ultimately, the blanket was dropped just outside the door, while Ethan Caldwell’s clothing fell right next to the bathtub.

Inside the bathtub, Ethan Caldwell leaned his back against the edge, letting Julian sit intimately on his lap as their lips intertwined. Perhaps because their feelings had been clearly confessed, the sensation of their kiss felt even more profoundly moving.

Likely because they thoroughly understood that they held each other in their hearts, even the slightest movement made everything feel infinitely more arousing.

With one hand holding Julian’s chin to deepen the kiss, Ethan Caldwell slid his other hand downwards. The man’s hand was quite large, easily encompassing both Julian’s manhood and his own, slowly rubbing them together.

The two burning hot shafts pressed against one another, and with the added lubrication of the water, the sensation of being stroked like that was a dozen times more scorching than usual. Julian panted heavily, his hands still wrapped tightly around the man’s neck, his breathless moans completely swallowed by Ethan Caldwell’s mouth.

Ethan Caldwell stroked with a fast and urgent rhythm, and in no time at all, Julian could no longer bear it. His mouth was entirely sealed by the man’s lips and tongue, unable to let out a single syllable. Only his fair hand softly patted against Ethan’s chest a few times.

It carried absolutely no offensive force. Rather, it looked much more like a playful flirtation in bed. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂

However, Ethan Caldwell did temporarily spare his lips. The man pulled away, his mouth trailing downwards to nip at the slender neck, leaving behind a row of vibrant red marks. Julian shrank against his shoulder, lightly biting down on that firm muscle as he gasped endlessly for air.

By the time they both reached their release, Julian’s eyes were clouded with a misty haze, his face flushed with a deep, passionate hue. While he was still in a daze, completely unable to regain his senses, he felt the man carry him out and set him down on the closed toilet lid. Ethan Caldwell was likely cleaning out the bathwater.

Why bother cleaning it, it would just get dirty again in a little while anyway.

Except, the wild and passionate bout in the bathroom that Julian had envisioned did not happen. Ethan Caldwell genuinely and honestly washed them both clean, then carefully dressed him in those silk pajamas. Julian let out a soft hum, obediently slipping his legs into the trousers, before looking at Ethan Caldwell with a gaze that seemed to ask why they were not continuing.

Ethan Caldwell looked at Julian’s slightly pouting lips, planted a kiss upon them, and then focused intently on buttoning up the young man’s shirt. As he fastened the buttons, he coaxed: "Be a good boy, we will continue once we get home."

"Home? Are we returning to Saint Lawrence City now? Are your negotiations this time completely finished? Oh, and what about Harrison Thornton?"

"The negotiations are concluded, as for Harrison Thornton, we will likely meet again in a day or two." Ethan Caldwell lifted Julian up and carried him outside, offering an explanation before Julian could ask anything else: "I have a villa here in Kensington city."

"Oh."

It was not too surprising, wealthy people usually owned numerous real estate properties. Oh, these damn rich people.
