Cierra hurriedly ran toward her room.

As she reached her room, she opened the door and quickly fell onto her bed.

"Lina, where did you go?" She just realized her maid had been away, even though she had gone to sleep a long time ago.

"I was in the washroom, young lady."

"Ah, it’s nothing." She hurried to her bed and pulled the blanket over her face to hide her flushed cheeks.

’Strange!’ Cierra felt her behavior was odd.

As he reached his room, he saw an old woman standing in front of the door.

"Young Lord Aether." the woman said in a worried voice.

"Oh, Nanny. How are you? When did you return?" Aether asked.

This woman was Aether’s nanny, who had taken care of him since his birth.

She was similar to a personal maid, but she had higher authority.

Aether’s nanny rushed to him and hugged him tightly. Tears streamed down her face.

As she began crying, Aether placed his hand on her back to comfort her.

After Aether was kidnapped by the cultists, she had gone to a faraway temple to pray for his safety.

Then she heard of Aether’s return, but by the time she arrived at the family estate, Aether was already on a mission to defeat the Soulborne.

"So, have you decided to join as a maid?" Aether asked.

"Yes, sir. I want to repay you for saving my life." The little girl bowed.

"You don’t really have to do that. Anyway, what’s your name?"

"Lucy."

"Oh, that’s a sweet name."

"After her treatment was over, she caused a commotion, saying she needed to meet the demon god and stuff" Aether’s nanny said.

"That’s good. But focus on playing more than doing maid tasks, okay? You can also play with my little sister. She would love to have you as a friend.

Upon hearing this, Lucy’s eyes became teary. She felt a warmth she hadn’t felt in a long time.

Aether then went to his room and fell onto his bed.

"Today was a busy day. It’s more exhausting than fighting monsters." Aether’s sighed in exhaustion.
