The Princess's Dangerous Vampire Mate-Chapter 67: Breakfast with the Prince - II
The soldier finished talking and stepped back to base as he was taught to do so in front of a royal member of the family. The Princess stared at me as a step back and then nodded, dismissing the guard. He left and I felt alone and unsafe with the prince that has thrown the man that owned my heart into the prison.
"Tell me this," his fingers danced at the wooden table and I found that more interesting than anything else. "I told you about the demons recently, very recently," he was annoyed, "until then you knew about the creatures of the night and how dangerous they were. How could you have been such a great fool to walk out of the palace was on guarded and without my knowledge?"
"What?" I whispered at the realisation that the prince could have had god’s following us which would have known to have you went. My heart picked up pace as I realised that.
"You look uneasy." He said out loud as his eyes never left mine. "Something wrong?" He asked as if truly concerned about my well-being.
"Why do you look at me like that even though I have revealed the truth to you." I narrowed my eyes at him accusingly. "Do you not realise your Infatuation—"
"It’s affections!" He corrected harshly with a dark expression on his face. "It’s affections that I have for you."
I blinked calmly. I was successful in changing the conversation. "If it is affections, they can be discarded."
Shocked by the words I said he scoffed, "did you wake up grumpy today? Or is a because you are lover boy is in prison?"
His words usually had MI red and over all over my body as I struggled with controlling my anger at his words. The Prince surely knew how to rile someone up even though he claimed to have affection for them.
I shook my head and stood up.
"The breakfast is laid out." He pointed out as I stood up and moved to the door.
"I know," I said as I turned to him. "Please distribute my share among the hungry people of the country."
I had taken a step out of the room and closed doors when they I was slammed open and the prince came barreling through. He marked up to me making my voice hidden and step back in fear. "And where do you think you are going question mark after like Nights escapade do you think I will let you go out unguarded?!"
My eyes hardened as well. "It is not my fault that I am not even close to achieving what I came here for. I do not know what the creatures of the night are neither do I know what are happening to be updated children so kindly excuse me and start to forgive me for going out on a long walk in the gardens! Did you check there?" I hissed.
It was obvious that the prince would have accused me of meeting Tristan in the dungeons which thankfully he had not accused me of yeah which allowed me to band the conversation where I wanted to go.
He stepped back as I raised my hand between us. "Now excuse me I have to go meet the boy that I have given to the healer. He has no one in the world which is why I want to make sure that he is healing properly."
We both stared at each other trying to assert a dominance through which I would have lacked in but this time I did not back down either.
He nodded slowly as if calculating something in his head and then sighed. "Well, then I must not be the one to stop you from doing such a good deed. There would be a carriage sent with you."
Of course, he had to!
"No, you cannot—"
"Yes, I can!" He thundered and neared me. "Whatever makes you say at I cannot do it after you castle walls last night without me having any knowledge of where you went when you could have been abducted and never be seen again! Sudo does not tell me what to do."
"Or what?!" I challenged. "What more can you do than throwing an innocent man in the prison?"
He laughed and his eyes twinkled with mischief. "I can feel you the number of things that I can do to someone innocent. It is merely a matter of time that I would show you off what I am capable of."
Stock words and the thread sent shivers down my spine which I could not help but cheaper because of full shop his gaze penetrated truly me and I could not standard any longer which is why I turned around and left to my room.
"Your highness," Merilyn immediately followed me, "What can I help you with?" She asked breathlessly as she had also witnessed the tensions that were between the prince and me. It was obvious that he had a section or infatuation with me and was not afraid to show it.
"What should we do about the prince? Do you think his threat was going to be carried out about what he can do?" Merilyn held my hand as I didn’t answer her, thinking about it myself. "Even talked of showing you what he could do. What does that mean princess?!"
"I don’t know!" I hissed and glared at her. "What makes you think that I can read my incentive for the princess thinking about before spouting out search nonsense and ridiculous words!" I shook my head. You always manage to get under my skin even though I was always prepared for more. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
Somehow he knew what fights to pick and what to leave so much so that it did not comment on where we had gone or if the guard followed us to Chiara’s home.
I gulped and looked at Merilyn. "Convey the message to Tristan’s family. We need to be much more careful he is watching us."
