The Princess's Dangerous Vampire Mate-Chapter 304: The king is back! - I
"I think she has finally gone mad."
"Cian!" Mrs. Walter hissed. "Keep that tongue in check now, would you?!"
"I can keep my tongue in check for as long as you want, mother, but did you not look at the way she was behaving in the forest, her screams? She was yelling in the middle of the forest, covering her ears and shaking. If that does not tell you that she’s mad then what else do we have to wait for?"
"Maybe it was an animal. Do you know when you encounter a bear, the best thing is to yell at them to scare them?"
"I want to agree with you Dorothy, but bears do not come this far out of the deep forest and towards civilization. They don’t because people will always kill them out of fear."
"See?" Cian snickered. "I am right and now you have to agree with it. Day by day, she has stopped talking, stopped eating and now she’s yelling in the middle of the forest. We should probably have her checked, father."
A sigh came first and then the voice of Sir Walter followed, "Cian, give it a rest child. We don’t know what’s going on with her, she was all alone in the palace so why don’t you give her some time to rest and settle her mind? The prince is yet to recover to the point of travel and until then I want you all to be very careful around Genevieve. Is that clear?"
That was all I heard before as lulled myself to sleep.

The next time I woke up, I could still hear the shouting in the living room that happened before I had fallen asleep.
I was the mad woman, someone unhinged and someone who had no longer any grip on reality. But if that meant that I was going to be left alone for a while, I was going to readily take it up.
I had been awake for quite some time. Dorothy had not woken me up for the household chores but little did she know, I was up before her. Sir Walter and his sons had left for their work and Mrs Walter had gone out for something that I did not listen to. Dorothy was outside, washing my and her clothes.
Slowly, I got up from the bed knowing that no one was going to be free for at least an hour.
I was about to make my way to the backyard when I heard something from the room that the prince was staying in. Making my way towards the room, I opened the door to look at him struggling to pick up the glass of water that had fallen down.
Silently moving forward, I picked it up and placed back on the table before putting some water in it and handing it back to him. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
"Thank you," he said before drinking the entire glass of water and attempting to place it back on the table. Noticing that he was unable to do so, I took it from him and placed it back next to the water pitcher.
Once done, I turned around to move back to the backyard—
"I heard what they were saying last night,"
I stopped walking.
"I don’t think you are mad, princess. With what happened to us, even I have been dreaming about that insane man, I don’t blame you for having nightmares."
I softly shook my head. that was not my imagination, that was the reality that I had been unable to prove to anyone.
"Yes, my nightmares are horrifying." I confirmed with a laugh. "but it is nothing for you to worry about. Focus on healing yourself, the quicker that happens, the sooner we leave for my country and yours."
I was about to take a step when he interrupted, "could you come and sit next to me for a moment?"
Sighing heavily, I moved back and plopped down on the mattress next to him. "What?"
"Nothing," he gulped and I watched that. Why did it feel like he was going to either say something or do something that was going to be so, so wrong?
I gasped when I felt his fingers close on my jaw and pull me forward into his direction.
His lips moved against mine and I felt his teeth graze my lips before his tongue poked in.
I was immediately thrown back to when I had shared my last kiss with Tristan and then remembered who I was now kissing, or more likely, who was kissing me.
Keeping my hands firmly on his chest, I punched my lips together before pushing away and standing up.
Backing away to the corner of the room, right opposite where he was I glared at him enough to kill. "what the hell was the meaning of that!"
I shook my head as anger clouded my vision. "How dare you even think of touching me! It is at my mercy that you are here, alive and this is what you repay me with?!"
"Is that not what you want?" He hurriedly whispered.
"What?" I spat in disgust. "What did you say?"
"We have both been wronged by one man. To cause him pain should be our only goal, Genevieve. And we can do that together, with each other." He nodded towards me with a shining twinkle in his eyes, a crazed look. " We can cause him so much pain by doing so much more."
At what he was hinting, I understood perfectly and that made disgust crawl over my skin.
"Shut up!" I shouted! "don’t you dare ever try to say something like this ever again. If it had not been your injuries, I would have plunged a dagger in your heart myself!"
Lysar shook his head, "No you misunderstand. We ca—"
A thunderous roar shook the entire house, making me gasp and the prince yell. In that minute, everything shake, from the furniture to me and the prince. Making my way outside, I saw Dorothy running into the house with a haunted look on her face.
"Wha—"
"It’s him!" She shrieked and barreled into me. "It’s him! The king!"
