The Princess's Dangerous Vampire Mate-Chapter 293: The prince - II
almost 2 days passed by until the prince finally opened his eyes and made a sound to attract the attention of sawyer.
The latter came running into the living room to convey the fact that the prince had finally woken up.
It was Sir Walter and I who had walked into his room. The moment I entered the room, I felt the eyes of the prince on me and it did not leave as Sir Walter made his way to lysar.
"Do you know who you are?" Sir asked and and the eyes of the prince moved from Me to him before he nodded.
"Do you know where you are?"
Confliction passed in the eyes of the prince, as he considered how to answer before he ended up shaking his head.
Sir Walter nodded. "you are in the kingdom of Austria. You were kidnapped and have been heavily bruised by the royal family and had it not been for the mercy shown by princess Genevive, you would have ended up dead."
Well, Sir Walter definitely knew how to make an interesting introduction.
The role of the secretary might have been taken away from him, but it was certainly running in his veins.
Lysar Stayed quiet but his eyes turned to me, making me uncomfortable under his chair and taking an awkward step back.
I was not sure if Sir Walter noticed but he took a step to the side and came in between, effectively cutting me out of this there of the prince.
"The princess," Sir Walter stressed on the word ’princess’, "was merciful enough to think of you while escaping. You can show your gratitude once you are healed enough to stand."
Sawyer stifled his smile.
I heard a movement but since Sir Walter was standing in front of me, I did not know what it was caused from.
"Alright then," He continued, "we shall bring some lentil porridge for you. It is light but also nutritious."
I stepped away when Sir Walter turned away to walk out of the door. He paused when he was about to exit the room and passed me a nod before walking out.
Sawyer and I were left alone with the prince and it was quite obvious that sawyer was not going to say a word and would rather be in the shadows as he had taken his place in the corner of the room.
I turned to find lysar already looking at me. I gave him a nod that he tried to reciprocate before I made my way to him.
"We have herbs if it hurts." I pointed to his wounds. " you are hurt very badly and—"
"Courtesy of your beloved."
My eyes widened and the sharp Arrow pierced my heart before I looked away.
"nothing to say?" He rasped. "Thought so."
Bitter taste of something that I found on my tongue all of a sudden made me want to puke. He had very generously Averted his eyes away after making that accusation making me blank away the tears.
Sawyer stepped forward but I shook my head in his direction.
I did love Tristan but that did not mean I loved every part of him that was bad. A few of them were something even I was not ready to accept.
Taking a step closer, just as his eyes turned to me I made sure he heard me loud and clear, "The next time you want to blame me for your condition, you will find yourself on the road to the capital. Beg your way out of the kingdom."
I smiled stiffly, " I would have helped you in eating but since I was the cause behind all of this," I pointed at his broken and battered body, "I suppose it would be better if someone else helped you with that."
Passing a look to the only person available in the room, Sawyer narrowed his eyes at me when he understood what I meant.
"No," he clenched his jaw, "I ain’t helping him. I would rather give his food to a beggar."
"Well," I sighed and shrugged, "looks like you’re on your own, Prince. Rest well."
Giving him one last smile, I walked out of the room only to meet Sir Walter half way and behind him was Dorothy who was carrying the bowl of porridge.
"There is no need to help me eat it." I gave her a pointed look to which she nodded.

I once again found myself overlooking the road back to the capital. It was the time where the sun was setting and this time I was alone. Dorothy was not with me.
lowering my eyes to the ground, I blink before closing them altogether. My heart felt heavy. Even though the prince, who we all had been waiting for to wake up, had woken up and still was, I still did not feel at ease.
For the past two days, I had carefully analysed what I was feeling only to come up with one answer. I was feeling guilty for betraying the man I loved... I love.
But if I looked at the reason why I had chosen to do so, I, at times, forgot the ceiling only for it to return minutes later.
It hurt me knowing that I hurt him. It hurt more knowing that when he would have woken up, I would be gone and so would every servant in the palace.
It hurts more than I would ever be able to tolerate that when he would come to know about this betrayal..
I opened my eyes and breathed loudly. I could not do it any longer. Taking a step back, I turned around and walked into the house only to look at the frowning face of Mrs Walter.
"What is troubling you?"
She looked up before picking up the small bottle in front of her and showing me. " I am almost out of medicine. In fact I only have enough for tomorrow." She tutted sadly. "He has to go tomorrow. I don’t want to bother him."
"I can go." I offered with a smile. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
"Really?" She asked hopefully, making my resolve stronger.
"Yes," I nodded, "I can take Dorothy with me and you can provide me with where to go." Dorothy nodded from the kitchen window too.
"Great!" Mrs Walter clapped her hands. "You will love the capital!"
