The Princess's Dangerous Vampire Mate-Chapter 218: The bond - II
Merilyn kept her hands around me as I came in turns to the reality of what had happened. I felt such heaviness on my chest to realising that I had failed him some how even without knowing what I had done. It pained me inside. Not only that but I realized that he had to answer about what I felt over my neck.
My breathing slowly returned to normal and the pain in between my legs vanished like it was never there before. I pulled away from her and she let me. My eyes ran around the room in search of Tristan but he had left and so had Allan.
"How do you feel?" Merilyn asked and soothed my hair.
I shook my head slowly. "I do not know," I admitted. "What was that?"
"You are not supposed to touch the mark," she told me, which frustrated me.
"Merilyn," I huffed in impatience, "that is also what Tristan said. I need to know why I can not touch what is on my body?"
She tsked lightly under her breath. "It is not that simple but I would prefer if you rest in bed."
By the look in her eyes I could tell that she would simply not prefer but she would rather have me in bed resting as she would tell me what was going on. I nodded and stood aap but immediately stumbled when my legs started to shake wildly as I put pressure on them.
Marilyn came to my aid and helped me rather basically carried me over to the bed before pulling the quilt on top of me.
She then sat beside me before starting to talk. "The mark can be used for a lot of things but the most important one is to tell another supernatural creature to back off as the person belongs to another."
"Another one of those can also be used as a mate calling the other." She explained.
"So I called Tristan?" I concluded but didn’t understand something. "I do not see why he would behave like that if I had just called."
She bit her lip nervously as she averted her eyes.
I said with a small huff, "Marilyn, how about you just tell me what the complete truth is?"
"Because then you would be embarrassed," she whispered knowingly and it only interested me further.
"Tell me," I pressed her.
"Arousal is when. . . Do you remember the time when we saw people in the bushes getting intimate?" She asked and I nodded. "What happens when two people are aroused or turned on."
"I understand that. . ."
"That is what you did when you pressed the mark. The king was aroused just like you were." My eyes widened. "But it became slightly painful and unbearable for you because you are not yet a creature of the dark and your beloved is."
I gasped. I. . . " Did I?" I asked her.
Merylin shrugged, "You need to say it. I cannot understand if you do not."
I licked my lip. "Did I. . Arouse him?" I quietly whispered not wanting anyone else to hear it.
She nodded, biting her lips as I knew she was trying to hide that smile!
Oh my god! I understood now why he was angry with me. What if he was with someone while I had done that to him!
I turned to my side and facepalmed into the bed pulling the covers on top of me as a head myself from the world.
I was too embarrassed to face anyone.
Merylin giggled and with how muffled the voice was she was obviously trying to bury her face in a question trying to muffler out the giggles and laughter.
I groaned. I turned on a man.
"Stop thinking," Merilyn took the cover off my head and leaned on me, "it is not such a big matter." She lightly ran her fingers on my neck.
"Might not before you since you married but it is for me." I groaned. How was it face Tristan now?
"It will be fine." She assured me and I groaned out again.
How was the survey supposed to be fine? For me I could never leave it down. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
Then it hit and I sat up hitting Merilyn slightly. How was this my fault? Not only that but what was the pressure that I felt on my neck? Tristan knew about it and not only did he know about it he also wanted me to fight it.
I narrowed my eyes at Merylin who looked taken aback by the gesture. "Is there any way I could have known about this without you telling me?"
She shook her head.
"Well then," I pulled the covers off of me, "this is not my fault." I stood up from the bed and look at Marilyn a pointed look.
She ndoded. "Yes Genevieve, it is not your fault."
I smiled with triumph. "Then he had no right to talk to me that way and barge into my room and only leave in a similar manner."
"Yes," Merylin agreed.
"Then," I placed my weight on one foot as I said, "he is the one who is at fault for not telling me what could happen."
" Uh. . ." Now, she looked hesistant, "Perhaps, he is?"
I nodded. "Then he needs to apologize." I vowed and tugged on the bell beside my bed since my ladies in waiting were not already here It is indicated that I was awake and ready for the day.
"What?" Merylin followed me. "Why?"
I looked at her incredulously. "Merylin, I felt like a failure without realising why it happened. I have never felt like that and I do not want to feel like that ever again which is why answers the first thing that I am going to make sure I get."
"Maybe—"
"No," I snapped in anger, "whatever I felt on my neck was not normal. This time I am getting the answers I deserve." This time, I was not backing down.
