The Princess's Dangerous Vampire Mate-Chapter 191: The bloody neck - I
My neck hurt and I could gather it without opening my eyes. My hand went to my neck but before that something felt heavy on my hand as if it was holding my hand back.
I opened my eyes but had to blink them repeatedly. It felt like I had been sleeping for a very long time and my eyes hurt as I opened them.
I looked down at my hand the first thing to realise it was chained.
My hand was chained!
I looked at the other hand to find it in the same condition.
An involuntary hiss left my mouth as I had hurriedly turned my head to the other side. This hurt.
Hurt . . .
Just as Marilyn had turned into a demonic creature as she had charged on me I remember how Tristan had looked like. Exactly the same.
I blinked my eyes as the image once again found its way in front of them. I remember exactly when Tristan looked as his facial expressions started to change and his eyes darkened. It was as if the last for blood had been poured into them and the only thing he saw was that. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
Not only that but when he opened his mouth for me to see two elongated teeth. . .
I closed my eyes as a shaky sigh left my mouth. I felt scared of everything. I fisted my hands tightly because I did not want them to shake anymore.
The fear settled into my spine. All I saw was the face of Tristan right before he had attacked me.
Tristan had attacked me. Marilyn had attacked me. Both of the people that I have trusted my life with had attacked me and the reason had been the same.
With Marilyn I understood but it was done I did not and I have had enough of it.
My attention went to the door as it opened and walked in Marilyn. She smiled at me. "I knew You were awake. Your breathing pattern had changed."
Breathing pattern? Now they were keeping account on my breaths?!
I did not come and as I had simply watched her come and sat beside my legs maintaining distance from me which I appreciated.
"Can you talk?" She asked me in a gentle voice but I slowly shook my head simply not wanting to do it.
Both sides of my neck hurt.
I could feel my hand starting to shake again because of Marilyn sitting so close to me. For all I knew she could attack me again.
"Well, I know. . "
I carefully kept an eye on her hands and her body. The last time she had attacked me it was her face that I had a visible change in it so I carefully kept my eyes on that. If she attacked me, her face would change and I could do something to stop it.
"Princess?" She touched my leg to get my attention but before she could do that I had it shift away slightly, not having the strength to lift it completely.
Her face changed. "What’s wrong?"
Why was she acting so concerned? She could kill me. She will kill me.
"Princess Genevieve?" She whispered as she watched him slightly widened eyes. "Are you alright? Are you in some kind of pain?" She spoke in a panicked and frantic voice.
She was panicking and she was slightly raising her voice but she did not attack me and her face was not changing. It meant that she was not going to attack me yet.
"Princess!" She shrieked successfully, taking my attention and pulling out of my thoughts.
"What?" I muttered. "What?" I mumbled while watching her.
"What is happening with you?" She asked in a concerned voice. "You keep on steering me why you are in a completely different place. What are you thinking about? Are you in any kind of pain? Should I call the healer?"
I shook my head very slowly as I understood her words. "No, no, the healer is not needed. . . No, I am not in any pain."
"Oh," she mumbled, " what are you thinking about?" She asked with a curious expression on her face.
I was imagining her teeth on one side of my neck and on the other side it would be Tristan and they were sucking the blood out of me and killing me eventually.
"Nothing," I told her, "nothing."
Marilyn watched me before she tucked her lips in and looked ahead of her instead of watching me. By the amount of time that Marilyn knew me since it was obvious that I did not want to share anything with her regarding this which is why she probably left it.
She nodded and the silence continued. I continued to stare at her just to find out that one change in her that would have to be getting up from the bed and bolting but then I remembered. "Why do I have chains?"
She looked at him and then glanced at the chain that was holding me.
"Marilyn, why did I have to be chained?" I asked her again because she took too long to answer.
"I. . .um . ." She gulped and refused to meet my eyes that were looking at her. She looked at every corner in the room but not at me.
"What?" I muttered as it was difficult for me to speak, "Say."
"We. .the. ." She hesitated. "It is not something that was done by us nor the healer. It was done by the king, so we cannot question or remove the chains until he gives us the commands to do so."
"Why?" She had conveniently left out the reason why Tristan had done this. Knowing why was the most important.
She gulped again and this time she fidgeted with her hands. "Well, do you remember what happened in the dungeons? You went out there to meet someone?"
"Yah. . " I almost nodded but the pain in my neck reminded me not to, "Ly—"
"No!" She whispered hurriedly, interrupting me and placing her hand gently over my mouth. "You are enough trouble as it is Princess. Do not take his name."
What?
