The Princess's Dangerous Vampire Mate-Chapter 149: A new pawn - III
I did not give him time to react because I asked another important question, "How did you even manage to enter the North? No one has ever survived to come inside or go back."
He didn’t recover but still answered me, "there was a merchant who helped us."
"Us?" I repeated, "There is someone else with you?"
He nodded, glanced at my hand in which I held the candle. He sighed and just as I was ready to ask him to leave he said, "why would you not come with me? You have rejected me countless times. Do you not want the life of a princess?"
I already had the life of a princess and it was truly not worth it. If I was aiming for something that was queenship now. A princess could be discarded easily. The Queen did not go down without a fight.
"I think you—"
I felt his lips smash against mine. It follows me but when I felt his lips move against mine, I immediately tried to push him away. His hands snake around my waist and held me in place.
"Mo—wa, igk" I tried. Putting my hands on his chest I straightened them with as much force as I could gather. "Muahw!" The sound came muffled to my own ears.
He pulled back and without thinking I raised my hand and struck it across his cheek. "How dare you!" I yelled and raised my hand to hit him on the other cheek.
But he caught it. He looked at it once and then at me, "I allowed it to happen once for stop but not again." He threw it down and I stumbled back at the force of it.
"I apologise." He said before I saw his hand raise. I could not see the object but he swung his hand around and I lost consciousness as I fell to the ground.
The last thing I saw was his blurry self bending down.
**********
I felt it before I even opened my eyes. I felt the pain in my head and I felt the movement.
I opened my eyes, slowly, they hurt. I blinked them repeatedly to get the blurriness out. In front of me was another man travelling.
When I glanced down I could see that I was on a horse with another man who was stabbing me.
I narrowed my eyes slightly at the snow. We must not be far from the capital because it was still the night and the sun was far to be seen yet. I still had time.
My hands were tied in my lap but thankfully my legs were on one side. I could easily slide off the horse.
Raising my legs high up in the air I load them down instantly making made dangle slightly and I used the force to throw my body down on the snow.
"Halt!" Someone cried out and immediately stopped but I did not. I tried to call my way out in the snow.
People got down but I did not stop. I felt hands on my upper arms and they pulled me.
"Let go!" I cried out immediately. "Let go!" I screamed.
"Calm down Genevieve," the prince said as he towered me, "We shall be out of the north by a day or two." 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
My eyes widened. "What!"
He nodded, a slight smirk on his face made me want to hit him again. Balling my tired hands into fists I hit his head with them.
"Let go! Let go! Let go!" I chanted repeatedly as the prince stumbled back and left me alone. Someone else came and held me, making me thrash around him too.
"Let g—"
"Shut up before I strike you across the face better yet make sure that you cannot talk again." A hiss came right in my ear making me stop as I waited for him to leave me.
"Let go," I said again but this time instead of screaming I simply asked him to do this.
"Do you promise to not hate anyone? Sire has been merciful enough but I would not be."
I nodded immediately. The first task was to get away from this man. He stepped back and let my hands go, making me stand in the middle of a group of men to make me realise what kind of situation I had found myself in once more.
Lord. . Now the fear came back.
"Genevieve," The Prince stepped closer to me but I moved back immediately. I did not want any of them near me!
He did not stop and I continued to move back until I found myself directly in front of the man who had not moved from where he was standing behind me.
The Prince now came to stand in front of me, he held out his hand to touch my cheek and I closed my eyes, pulling my face away. His fingers merely brushed my cheek before they were gone. I felt a strong wind blow and my hair moved around.
I opened my eyes but did not find him in front of me.
I heard a groan, only to look there and stifle a gasp. "Tristan!"
Tristan was holding the man down with his throat. Tristan was holding a prince by his throat to the ground!
The man behind me moved but someone tackled him to the ground. Around 30 men with the prince were immediately tackled to the ground and more than half of the men did not even have one on top of them and I could even see Darius!
What was happening?
"You," the prince sneered as soon as Tristan let go of his throat slightly, "should have killed you."
Tristan grinned. "But I’ll do it instead."
He did not. He stood up and looked down at the prince and I gulped. His eyes. . . They were dark. .
I could not make out if they were red or just black.
Tristan smiled at him. "But I think i shall do something else."
And I watched as the Chaos erupted.
