The Princess's Dangerous Vampire Mate-Chapter 113: A friend’s death - I
When I finally came back to consciousness I know that I have not yet opened my eyes because it pained to do so. There was a massive hey coming my way as I felt it building. The nearing pain in my shoulder did not help me either. I had no desire to get up.
Nevertheless I tried slightly to open my eyes and see the world. Opening them with all the strength that I could muster, they repeatedly closed themselves to try to get a figure of someone. It was blurry but I could make out the expression with the help of worry. Who was it? Maybe I had seen him . . . familiar he was. . . .
******
I gulped as I came back to consciousness. My eyes opened and I could see a wooden ceiling in front of me. I never had been in a house and had wooden flooring above and it did not seem right to me.
I immediately started to get up on the bed only to yell back in pain as I felt my shoulder and touched the bandages on Earth. I had been bleeding? What was —
Tears began to gather in my eyes as I felt she was in my entire body. There was some kind of strange tingling that was caused to crawl up my spine as a thought of where I could truly be right now. I looked down at my trembling hand. I held it with my other hand as I tried to stop the scrambling but that did not happen and it was immediately that my ring finger was void of the large emerald ring that had been placed upon by the prince, the man that I had married.
Spineless man, another spineless man that had been brought into my life, would not have enough strength to stand up for someone.
I got a look around the room. It seemed like a normal house that would belong to a man living in a capital or any other village, perhaps not to a village because it seems like someone well-off would have it and only a few houses in villages could afford to have furniture besides a bed in their rooms.
Then where was hai question mark the queen had casted me aside already? Had I really been caught and she had placed me in a small town just like the present girl had come from? That I will be cast aside by my father as well- Nevermind that, of course he did that.
I slowly stood up from the bed as I took the blankets, heavy blankets off of me. If I had been cast aside I knew better than to stay in this kingdom or whatever it was. I had to know more about this place and then go back to my home. Estelle or at least Catherine would be kind enough, or so I hoped after the betrayal had been shown clearly to me when they had not even arrived to my wedding, give me a small cottage to live in a remote village when no one from the kingdom would ever visit to know that I was living there.
It was a window on the side of the room that was big enough to fit mein comfortably and I knew that I could escape from there. But what I had to check for now was that no one from the house or anyone from the village alone was watching out for me.
I held in a breath as I climbed out of the window but stayed close to it in case I had to run back into the room. From the house that was next to the one that I was staying And I could see a heavy cloak hanging with a big cap that could easily hide my face. But what if someone was inside?
There might be a window that I could look through from, which is why I stayed closer to it but my eyes fell to the chimney instead. I remember that if the chimney was on it meant that someone was cooking and if anyone was in the house that meant that the women would always be cooking.
When I stepped ahead, my eyes dilated left and right to see if anyone was around but I could not see or hear anyone coming which only gave me a way to go to the cloak and see if it was dry or not.
It was not.
I bit my lip as I held the wait court in my hands. This was the only option I had to hide my face so I took it out and walked into the small forest that was facing me. Going slightly inside, but enough to keep a track of the houses in my line of sight, I walked to the north east of the north, often the area where the main town was situated.
My legs have started to pay and it was no wonder they had because I had run quite a lot of distance yesterday. I could only trade that I could find Marilyn or diwal timely before leaving this village. They had to be around somewhere here or in the capital but if they were in the capital I could not go there.
That was bad, I wanted at least one of them.
I found a cart and without thinking twice like a fool I had taken shelter in it. I covered myself with the hay that was there.
I did not know for how long the wagon was travelling. I was moving back and forth as something came in its way and I even felt myself jump and bump my head onto the wood. It was a painful experience and if I compared it with the previous one that I had had, that one was much better.
"Vegetable!"
"Dress like the queen!"
"Jewelry! Jewelry!"
My eyes widened as I realised that it was the capital that that man had brought me which meant that the village that I was staying and was not that far away. It must have been the outskirts of the capital itself.
I lifted off the hair little bear and without waiting for the cord to stop I slowly jumped out of it and the man did not even notice as he carried on walking forward. A few people give me e looks that made me think that I was crazy enough to do it when I knew that it was a capital and filled with people but I did not care as I started to walk forward only to stop when I saw something in the middle of it.
It was Marilyn and she was hanging on a long piece of wood.
