The Princess Kidnapping System Made Me OP-Chapter 68: Clash at Sea

Wise was completely surrounded by fog. At first, he thought it was steam from the crash, but now he knew better.

This was the Kraken’s doing...

Just before his fist could rip its head apart, the beast slipped out of the skull helmet and retreated below the ocean.

And now Wise had to go after it, fighting the beast in its own territory.

"I don’t like this..."

Wise watched the water with a reserved expression, then he took a deep breath and plunged into the sea.

SkyFire dragons were not like fire dragons, unlike them, Skyfire dragons could actually swim for long periods without needing to go up for air.

But the water was not his territory. He lacked the structural adaptation the Kraken had to survive in the lake, so he would have to be careful.

"Partial transformation."

A long tail was all that came out of his back, swinging in a way that swiftly projected him forward.

Wise could already see the outline of the squid in the distance, and his eyes widened when he realized where it was.

’It’s going to destroy the ship!’

He increased his pace, hoping to stop it before irreversible damage would be done. But as he inched closer, a weird blue glow immediately appeared right in front of the Kraken.

Whoosh!

A stream of highly compressed water flew out of its mouth, causing a tremor to spread through the ocean as it charged at Wise.

With a quick flick of his tail, Wise darted to the side as the water whistled past him.

The Kraken let out a loud grating sound and opened its maw once more. But this time, it was a ball of compressed water that emerged.

Strengthening his muscles to move faster, Wise hurriedly swam to the side just before the water ball could crash into him.

Once again, Wise felt the water tremble around him and his ears rang from the resulting force, as the water blew past him.

He took a moment to reorient himself before he swam toward the monster, charging his way past the wave of attacks.

It was working at first, he had managed to dodge a few of the devastating water balls... that was until the kraken went ballistic.

As the balls of compressed water made it increasingly difficult to swim, the Kraken reached towards him with tentacles, each large limb looking deceptively slow due to its size.

Wise ducked underneath the first ball, scooched over to the side to avoid the next, just before he drove his blade into the approaching tentacle.

He charged forward, the sword still embedded— creating a bloody trail of ripped flesh and blood up until he pulled it out, staining the ocean crimson.

Wise was finally reaching its head and so he pushed himself to move even faster, that was until the Kraken let out a pained screech.

Boom!

The ocean exploded with motion, tentacles came flying and balls of water tore through the ocean, all with even more intensity than ever

"Shit!"

This time, Wise was not able to evade them all, he was already far too close to the monster.

He narrowly avoided the first tentacle, was brushed to the side by the second one, the sharp spikes ripping into his flesh, and the—

Whoosh!

The glowing ball of water slammed into him, engulfing him in its violent currents.

Wise gasped, feeling the water violate every part of his body. It forced itself into his mouth, and like razors tore into his body, filling his first set of lungs with water and stealing all the air he had stored.

His body was on fire as the water ravaged it, and in one final move of desperation, Wise transformed once more.

With a heavy wave of his wings, he shattered the destructive bubble, only to see the Kraken right in front of him.

Clasp!

The Kraken grabbed onto him with those spike filled tentacles, and then tentacles flowed around his body, ripping his scales apart like a saw.

Wise screamed in pain, and the Kraken to his surprise laughed, its voice guttural.

"I am Ougue of the cursed lake, plague of the tri-Seas. You thought a suckling like you could beat me?"

He scoffed, his voice sounding muffled in the water.

"You’re not the first baby dragon that has crossed my path, and you won’t be the last I kill."

"You signed your death warrant the moment you stepped into my domain."

The pain was grating, but Wise gritted his teeth and stared at the Kraken.

The Kraken was indeed far larger than him, this was his domain and it was definitely stronger than him...

It had ravaged his body both inside and out, and yet it was his words that annoyed Wise the lost.

"Suckling?"

He was darn tired of hearing those words!

Tzz

A small spark erupted from Wise’s body before simmering away.

Tzzzz

Another minor spark erupted and dissipated.

Using other abilities in his dragon form was even harder than using them normally.

But Wise ground his teeth and pushed his Spiritual energy, he did not need to control the lighting. All he needed to do was be chaotic!

"You made one mistake..." Wise said through gritted teeth."

Some of his scales had been sawn off and were now dripping blood, his wings had been damaged, and his body squeezed awkwardly.

Blood was dripping out of his mouth, mixing with the water as he spoke.

"I am one hell of a baby dragon!"

TZZZZZZZZ!

Lightning erupted from his scales, arching around his body and completely engulfing the Kraken, stunning it with one nasty shock.

"A blue thunder dragon?!! Impossible!!" The Kraken screamed as it tried to escape, but Wise bit one of its tentacles to keep it in place, its horrid blood washing over his tongue.

"Come on, let’s hug it out!" He said, his voice muffled.

BTZZZZZZZZZ

Another burst of water danced around the Kraken’s body, the water around them only making it far more painful.

The tentacles around him loosened, and Wise grabbed onto them with his claws, then his muscles tensed as he pulled the Kraken towards him.

Whoosh!

Its large body came drifting towards Wise and he pulled his hand backward, before driving his claws into the octopus’s Siphon (breathing tube).

SKREECHHH!

The Kraken thrashed and broke its way out of his grip, turning around to escape. Its body probably sending warning signs to it.

But the match was not over yet...

Dragons had two sets of lungs, or rather, a lung and another lung-like organ— the one responsible for their fire breath...

That was the reason he had survived so long in the water.

Wise compressed the air in those lungs and just as the Kraken was attempting to escape, he raced towards it and latched onto its large head with his claws.

[Draconic Breath!]

This time, Wise unleashed everything he had right at the Kraken’s mantle area.

WHOOOSHH!!

The fire batted the water away as though it was nothing, and an explosion surged forward... at such close range, the effects were catastrophic.

The fire tore into its head, exploding out of the other end and erupting out of the ocean, heating up the water around them to searing levels.

The colossal Kraken’s limbs slowly fell as life quickly fled its body.

"Ah, how... foolish..." The Kraken whispered in death as its body began to drift down the ocean.

"How did I not see—"

"You are one of them..."

There was a short pause, and then its voice came out shaky.

"P-Phoenix Child."

But Wise did not hear those words, he had long lost consciousness and was drifting towards the surface.
