The Princess Kidnapping System Made Me OP-Chapter 36: Valiant Slayer
Chapter 36: Valiant Slayer
The sea of ash settled behind Wise while he watched Mr Anonymous, his gaze sharp.
"Mr Anonymous huh?"
Although his defenses were weaker in this form, cutting a dragon was not easy.
It took considerable strength and skill to do so and yet, he had cut Wise so casually.
The strike had felt like a thousand tiny needles, digging into his skin at once. It was like corrosion but at the same— time different.
Wise cracked his neck and took his stance, one dagger forward, while the other hanging lowly on his left hand. "You’re a pretty interesting guy..."
The man’s steel armour groaned as he took a step forward, his odachi scratching against the stone floor.
Whoosh!
In an instant he was gone, tearing through the distance between them with a single step. Mr Anonymous lifted his colossal blade high up, the steel weapon blotting out the sunlight before he brought it down in a thunderous swipe.
Boom!
A shockwave exploded outward as Wise met the odachi with his daggers, his eyes locked on the man the entire time.
Steel sparked against steel, groaning as both men put their strength to the test, pushing against each other with frightening resolve.
Clang!
Just as their weapons parted, they met once again, this time creating an even more thunderous sound.
Strike after strike, each man unleashed more powerful blows stunning the audience. Wise was using his agility to his advantage, darting from side to side just to launch an attack before swiftly evading a counter.
Mr Anonymous was using the weight and strength of his blows ferociously, in an attempt to obliterate Wise.
His strength was outstanding and his speed even in armour was just as breathtaking.
Wise ducked just as the odachi cut right above his head, taking some hair along with it. He closed the distance between himself and Mr anonymous and delivered a heavy kick to his gut.
The man stumbled backward but before Wise could push his advantage, lighting blared past him almost engulfing his entire being.
Mr Anonymous reoriented himself in that second and charged. He swung his odachi in a circular arc to gain momentum before launching it at Wise.
Clang!
Wise met the blow midway and parried it. He dashed to his side, appearing there almost instantly and drove his elbow into the man’s shoulder causing the armour to groan under his strength.
Mr Anonymous swung widely but Wise was already gone, appearing by his left side this time.
Boom!
His left shoulder pad caved, hanging loosely above his shoulders. Mr Anonymous reached for him and Wise attempted to dodge once more but Anonymous had predicted it.
He launched an earth shattering kick to Wise’s side. It was too late to dodge so Wise lifted his hands to guard against the attack.
The kick was monstrous and managed to push Wise a few meters back. He checked the point of impact, watching as steam slowly rose from the spot.
Wise slowly shook his hand to relieve himself of the pain.
Mr Anonymous was strong, that much was obvious and combined with the sage they were a formidable pair.
Still, throughout the fight, Wise could not help but wonder if what Tyris had said was true.
Had he really taken everything from her? Did he kill her daughter? And if he did what was he going to do about it?
"Hey, blockhead!" Wise called out as he walked towards the man.
"Do you know someone called Tyris?"
Mr anonymous stared at him, from behind his mask and nodded once, before he grabbed onto his bent shoulder pad and ripped it off, tossing it to the side.
"And of her daughter?"
Mr Anonymous lifted his sword, the giant odachi suddenly taking on a red tint, no doubt the skill he had used earlier.
Using his free hand, he raided his thumb and slowly traced a path across his neck— his gesture was as clear as day.
He had killed her.
Wise was no messiah and would have probably ignored this if it was any other day. But today was different, today he was oddly pissed.
Wise tossed his daggers to the side and cracked his knuckles.
The shadow beneath his feet slowly trailed up his hand and settled around his fingers like fiery black gloves and then a certain darkness nestled in his eyes.
"Old man..." Wise began. "Stay out of this, that is if you don’t want to die."
"Things just got a bit more personal."
Akaza laughed, his voice full of life and he pointed his staff forward. "That defeats the purpose of a two on one attack don’t you think—"
Whoosh!
Wise’s body blurred as he dashed forward. Mr Anonymous slashed, but Wise had already sprinted past him, appearing right in front of the sage.
Boom!
He dug his fist into the old man’s gut, allowing it to go all the way in and grace his intestines, just before the shockwave tossed the man’s body forward like a rag doll.
Akaza’s body bounced off the floor, skidding for a couple of kilometers before he finally settled, unmoving.
Wise slowly turned. "Alright, Mr anonymous."
He smiled. "It looks like it’s just you and I."
The man stared at him for a moment before he unleashed the fury of his blade.
Whoosh! freewёbnoνel-com
A huge golden light split the earth, tearing through the ground as it charged towards Wise.
The young man stared at the light and simply knocked it to the side with the back of his wrists.
The crowd paused, their mouths hanging open in shock.
"Did he just..." A man said, standing at the edge of his seat.
"I think it’s about time I took things a bit more seriously," Wise took a step forward.
"You have two options, Mr Anonymous. We are in front of thousands you see... you can either admit to your sins in front of the queen."
"Or you can die. Whichever one suits you best..."
He paused and raised both hands at his sides in a welcoming manner. "So? What is it going to be?"
For the first time since the battle had begun, Mr Anonymous spoke.
But it was not to answer Wise’s question.
"Valiant Slayer.," He spoke in a deep voice.
Mr Anonymous’ body suddenly became enveloped in a violent red glow that intensified by the second.
He took a single step and the earth was undone below his feet.
And then with one massive leap, he struck forward, undoing the very world with his strike.
