The Pregnant Treasured Little Wife: Master Lancaster's Nightly Coaxing-Chapter 146: An Encounter at the Mall
Nathan Sawyer led her into a baby store.
Serena Keaton thought to herself and smiled.
"I also want to have a daughter, how adorable would she be like Rory!"
Nathan jested, "Then you and Master Lancaster should put in the effort!"
Serena just smiled without saying anything.
Today Elias promised not to divorce, but whether he would bring it up again, no one knows.
If he didn’t have someone else, he wouldn’t have suddenly suggested a divorce.
She absentmindedly accompanied Nathan around.
Noticing her unease, Nathan pulled her along, "Since we’re out, let’s just relax."
Serena took a deep breath and tried not to think about it.
She followed Nathan as they looked at clothes together.
There were lots of clothes, all very beautiful.
Especially the little clothes and skirts for baby girls, if worn, they would certainly be so cute.
Serena couldn’t take her eyes off those little skirts.
She imagined what her daughter with Elias would look like if they had one, and how lovely she’d be in those little skirts.
"Serena, how about Yara becomes my son-in-law?"
Serena laughed, "Are you suggesting a childhood engagement?"
"Why not, handsome men are in demand now. As they say, keep good things within the family."
"But what if Rory doesn’t like Yara when she grows up, or they don’t like each other?"
"Feelings can be cultivated, you know."
At this, Serena said, "Brandon and I also had a childhood engagement."
Nathan looked at Serena, "Serena, you know how to kill the mood."
Serena realized it.
"Sorry, I didn’t mean it."
Serena quickly said with a pleasing tone, "No problem with Yara becoming your son-in-law, but you have to promise me, if they don’t like each other, we won’t force them."
Nathan laughed, "Do I look like that kind of person? Future in-law, let’s go buy clothes, using the future father-in-law’s card."
Saying that, Nathan took her to a luxury store.
Very soon, someone came up to serve them.
Nathan picked out a few nice dresses, "Serena, go try them on."
Serena glanced at the price tags on the clothes and was taken aback.
"Nathan, these clothes are over a hundred thousand, aren’t they too expensive?"
Nathan twitched at the corners of his mouth.
"Do you know how much the clothes you’re wearing cost?"
Serena looked at her clothes and shook her head.
Clothes at home were always delivered to them without tags, so she had no idea of their cost.
Nathan clicked his tongue in wonder.
"The one you’re wearing is eighty thousand, now, do you still think the dress is expensive?"
Serena, "..."
"Oh come on, don’t worry about it, go change now."
Nathan pushed her into the fitting room.
Serena had no choice but to change.
Just as she entered the fitting room, a few young girls walked into the store.
Each of them carried an air of superiority, and none seemed very old.
Nathan didn’t pay much attention and just kept choosing clothes for herself.
Willow Scott strutted in high heels with an air of importance, "Is there anything suitable for me to wear?"
The salesperson immediately approached, seeing her dressed in all designer brands, she was clearly wealthy.
"Miss, we have all the latest styles now. With your figure, all of our clothes would suit you, feel free to pick whichever you like."
Willow held her posture and began to choose.
She glanced at the woman next to her who was also selecting clothes and took a liking to the dress in her hand.
"Let me see the dress in her hand."
The salesperson was a bit embarrassed, "That’s the only piece of that dress, and that lady was looking at it first. Unless she doesn’t need it..."
"With what she’s wearing, she probably can’t afford it. Go bring it to me, I want it." Willow said disdainfully.
The salesperson had no choice but to reluctantly ask Nathan.
"Miss, do you plan to buy this dress?"
Nathan gave the salesperson a glance, then looked at the ostentatiously dressed woman nearby.
"If I don’t need it, why would I take it?"
"This dress is the only one, valued at two hundred sixty-eight thousand, if you don’t need it, I’d like to let this lady see it?"
The salesperson deliberately mentioned the price to make her give it up.
Nathan looked down on such snobbery the most.
She simply ignored it.
The salesperson continued, "And our store policy is that the clothes cannot be tried on, if tried, they must be purchased."
Nathan knew this was a deliberate difficulty; today she mainly brought Serena out for shopping, not to cause trouble.
She was still holding back.
But...
Willow walked over arrogantly and said, "If you can’t afford it, don’t touch it and get it dirty, making it unsellable for others. I don’t mind if you give me the dress."
She directly reached out arrogantly to demand the dress from Nathan.
It was the first time Nathan felt looked down upon by a gold digger.
She laughed twice, "I’d rather buy it and give it to a beggar than give it to you."
With that, she started using the dress to wipe her face and hands.
"You..."
Willow was so angry her face turned pale.
A few salespeople immediately approached, all looking at Nathan.
"Miss, this is the only piece of this dress."
"You must buy it."
"Please make the payment now."
Nathan was fuming, just about to scold them.
Then she heard Willow chime in with nonsense, "Overplaying it, hurry and pay. Oh, didn’t bring enough money?"
"I bet she just came in for a look, how could she possibly afford it." Willow’s friends behind her also laughed.
Nathan’s face turned ugly, "I never have to pay upfront."
"No payment upfront? Then how are you going to buy it? You... you’re not planning on stealing, are you?" Willow suddenly widened her eyes, acting coyly.
Before Nathan could refute, Serena’s voice rang out.
"We shop at our own malls and always use the black card. Tell me, does that count as stealing?"
Serena had changed into the dress with a hollow design at the waist and walked over elegantly.
She wore simple flats today, with a slight heel, and the fitted dress highlighted her natural elegance.
She was already beautiful, standing there with a strong aura, resembling a high and mighty princess.
Willow’s face turned ashen the moment she saw her.
She turned to leave.
But Serena stopped her.
"Stop."
Willow had to stop and turn around, "Serena."
She didn’t dare call her Young Madam, as it would mean her pride would be trampled by these people.
Serena didn’t spare her dignity, "What did you just call me?"
Willow had taken that two million dollar check with the promise of leaving Norris Gardens, leaving Aethelgard, and staying far away from Young Master Lancaster.
If Serena went back and told Young Master Lancaster she hadn’t left Aethelgard, he definitely wouldn’t let her off.
She had also heard about Elias Lancaster’s ruthlessness, she was afraid.
"Miss Keaton."
"Willow, you know her?"
Willow’s friends all looked puzzled.
Nathan was also curious, "Serena, you know her?"
Serena said, "She’s a servant hired by Nanny Livingston from outside to work in Norris Gardens’ kitchen."
As soon as she said this, Willow’s friends were all shocked.
"Oh, she’s a servant!"
"I always thought she was some young lady, with such an arrogant tone."
Nathan covered her mouth laughing, looking like she was enjoying the show.
Serena looked Willow up and down.
Dressed in designer brands from head to toe, just the bag in her hand cost hundreds of thousands.
"Where did you get the money to buy these?"
