Chapter 685 - Final Class of Second Year

Three days later, Han Wu and Qin Shuang returned to the college. She had completely recovered during those three days and had even absorbed the Annihilating Lightning Gene Catalyst that Han Wu had saved for her.

After consuming it, her lightning powers became stronger and showed signs of evolving into a Divine Jurisdiction. She was certain that once she fully absorbed the Gene Catalyst, she would become a Major God too. Her family would then rise to the status of a Major God family.

Han Wu hadn’t been idle either. He refined and merged the Spirit Stones mined from the GIant Shadow Civilization and condensed them into Spirit Crystals that Major God and God Kings could use.

He distributed several crystals to his master and to a number of allied God Kings. Xu Hai, Death, Darkness, Blaze, and even Aisha in the distant Angel Civilization each received Spirit Crystals. All of them praised their remarkable quality.

Commerce received one as well. As a trader, he immediately recognized its value and refined craftsmanship. He was about to thank Han Wu and send him a 1,000-word letter of gratitude when Han Wu called him.

Han Wu wanted to sell that crystal to Commerce for the modest price of 400 Divine Essence, even though its true value far exceeded that amount.

After the call ended, Commerce looked at the Spirit Crystal in his hands with mixed feelings. He had wasted his gratitude, but paying only 400 Divine Essence for such a treasure was still an excellent deal.

Coincidentally, Jia Gui had been searching for him to help him restore his Core.

Commerce decided to assist him by selling the Spirit Crystal to him for 800 Divine Essence. He would simply explain that it was a necessary ingredient for restoring the Core, and Jia Gui would certainly buy it. As he considered how easily he could recover his investment and even double his profit, another thought emerged. If he secured the exclusive right to purchase Spirit Crystals, he could make an enormous fortune. He quickly called Han Wu to discuss the possibility.

The Giant Shadow Civilization had not only provided Han Wu with Spirit Stones but also Ninjutsu and Kokkai Hanwu. The Epistians spent three entire realm years researching Kokkai Hanwu and achieved promising results.

First, they extracted Kokkai Hanwu's spinal fluid. The substance could turn any race into giants. However, the transformation severely damaged the brain and caused various symptoms, such as brain shrinkage and impaired cognition. Most subjects would become idiots.

Han Wu handed it to the Origin of Mutation for further research. He hoped it could turn it into something that was similar to the Angel Elixirs. Even the side effects interested him. He could potentially use it on locusts and turn them into giants.

He wasn’t worried about the locusts becoming unintelligent. Common locusts didn't have any intelligence to begin with. They moved instinctively and followed his commands. The transformation would not change that.

The Epistians also developed a new jutsu after studying the Four Guardians Seal. The original technique could seal a stronger life form inside a weaker one. During that time, the stronger life form’s energy would slowly erode the seal, and the leaked energy would nourish the weaker host.

The Epistians improved it. The new version restricted the target to one rank above the user. In exchange, the seal could capture its target more easily regardless of their status. Even during combat, the seal's chains could coil around the target and drag it into the user's body. The new Four Guardians Seal also introduced a mutual destruction feature. If the user died while the target was sealed, the target would die as well.

Han Wu appreciated this function. It provided greater precision than Self-Detonation. Unfortunately, it still required hand seals. Otherwise, he would’ve allowed all of the locusts to learn it.

Han Wu also started developing the Soul Microcosm. The officials showed interest and joined the project, which saved him considerable effort. Still, it would take some time before the Microcosm reached the form he envisioned. He could take his time.

After a long time, Han Wu had his final class of the second year. Once it ended, he would become a third-year student. The college no longer interested him much. With his current power, he could obtain many resources simply by invading another civilization.

Today, however, was different. Saliya had insisted that he attended class no matter what. Naturally, Han Wu complied.

Students filled the classroom. Many greeted him as he entered. These were the same students who had been dragged into the Soul Kingdom. Without Han Wu, they would have died.

They expressed their deepest gratitude, but Han Wu only nodded. He had saved them while rescuing Jing Jing and Qin Shuang. To him, the act had not been extraordinary. Moreover, their families had already thanked him with gifts, so he owed them nothing.

One exception remained, however: Hei Qi. The War family had taken him back without offering even a word of thanks, much less a gift.

Hei Qi was glaring at Han Wu despite having been rescued.

Han Wu had no idea what Hei Qi was thinking, and he didn’t care. Hei Qi was a weakling. There was no reason to lower himself.

Qin Shuang stood up and waved at him. “Han Wu, over here!”

Han Wu walked to her and sat beside her.

She took a lunch box out of her divine realm. “You haven’t eaten, right? Here, this is for you.”

As a Major God, Han Wu had no need to eat, but he would never refuse her cooking. He ate something that resembled stir-fried potato shreds, and a sharp burst of ginger shot straight through his senses.

“What is this?” he asked.

“Shredded ginger and potatoes. How is it?”

Han Wu gave her a thumbs up with difficulty. “Good, but there’s just one small problem that you need to fix.”

“What is it?” Qin Shuang immediately took out a notebook to record the suggestion.

“Next time, remember to add the potatoes,” he replied.
