Chapter 681 - Sudden Wealth

Although the reincarnation system had been introduced, it still required further adjustments. Han Wu would also need to invest numerous resources. For now, however, he had to return to the Divine Civilization first.

Both Huangquan and the Soul Kingdom were history, but they had only been the appetizers. The real feast lay in the Giant Shadow Civilization’s Spirit Stone mine. Everyone present had already witnessed its immense wealth. How could anyone resist claiming a share?

Xu Hai and the other lecturers were already invading the Giant Shadow Civilization, though they faced fierce retaliation from its native life forms. Sun Qingnian and Jing Jing had also dispatched their armies from the Soul Kingdom to claim their portion.

Realizing that he was likely too late, Han Wu quickly summoned his troops to invade. The huge swarm of locusts, accompanied by his armies of various beasts, surged into the civilization.

Through the eyes of his units, he noticed that much had changed. In the past, the ninjas and the giants had been the two dominant powers, yet the war had never escalated to the point where the smaller factions couldn’t survive.

Now, however, the giants held the advantage. The ninja villages had no choice but to hide on a remote island, where they struggled to survive on the brink of collapse. At any moment, the giants across the sea could descend upon them and wipe them out.

Han Wu was certain that it wouldn’t take long before the giants stomped the tiny island beneath their feet.

Since when did the giants grow so powerful? He recalled that Rogue had pressured them heavily in the past.

As more of his locusts spread throughout the Giant Shadow Civilization, Han Wu gathered additional information. The giants had become so powerful because the nine Giant Sages had fused into a single body and activated Sundering.

The ninjas couldn’t withstand their stampede and had been driven back. Han Wu wanted to gather more information when a thunderous voice suddenly exploded in the minds of everyone from the Divine Civilization. The powerful Will of the Civilization was expelling them.

“Get out of my civilization!” The roar resounded with overwhelming force. Many units couldn’t withstand its power and exploded.

Those who had sent their units there suffered heavy losses and were forced to retreat. Unexpectedly, there was one exception. None of Han Wu’s units were harmed. Even the weakest locust hopped about as if nothing had happened.

The others were utterly baffled. Why had their units been affected while Han Wu’s remained unharmed? How had his units survived the Will’s attack? Had he concealed some secret from them?

Xu Hai questioned Han Wu, but the latter was equally confused. He didn’t have any hidden advantage here. His units were made of flesh and blood, just like everyone else’s. He had no idea how they had survived under the Will’s might.

Still, he was now the only one from the Divine Civilization who could remain within the Giant Shadow Civilization. An enormous fortune had effectively fallen into his lap.

The others could only stare at the Giant Shadow Civilization with greedy eyes, but they could do nothing. They weren’t Han Wu, so they couldn’t compete for the Spirit Stones. Frustrated and furious, they vented their anger on the other World life forms invading the Giant Shadow Civilization. With Xu Hai aiding them, defeating them was an easy matter.

Meanwhile, Han Wu continued his investigation. Thanks to his huge number of units, he successfully created a gate linking the Giant Shadow Civilization to his divine realm and stationed his two newly ascended World life forms, Akanzor and Bart, to guard it. With them standing watch, he felt entirely at ease.

Afterward, he commanded the rest of his elite troops, such as Steely and Dark Locust, to explore the Giant Shadow Civilization with their respective teams. Their mission had two goals. They would continue the invasion while also searching for suitable locations to mine the Spirit Stones.

Han Wu then brought the Origin of Mutation and the Umbral Mouse to deal with the hardest issue. They would reclaim one of the two most powerful regions in the Giant Shadow Civilization: the island where the ninjas had taken refuge. Numerous ninjas from all eight villages had gathered there. For the moment, even the giants couldn’t eliminate them.

As World life forms, the trio approached the island on foot. Before they even arrived, the pressure of their auras rolled across the island like waves. The Apprentices all fainted, while the Adepts struggled to remain conscious. Only the Masters and Shadows could maintain their consciousness and the ability to fight.

As if sensing the looming threat, every ninja above the Adept rank gathered along the beach for the final duel.

Before long, the two parties met. The ninjas were stunned to find that only three individuals had arrived. How could the trio threaten them so deeply? How powerful were they?

The Shadow of the Giant Wood Village recognized Han Wu and exclaimed, “You are Kokkai Hanwu! Didn’t you go missing during the mission? How are you still alive?”

Han Wu chuckled. Kokkai Hanwu belonged to the past, a brief and insignificant chapter in his life.

“Things have changed,” Han Wu said. “I will keep this brief. This civilization will fall, and I am here to give you a chance. Work under me, and I will take the Shadow Ninja Civilization under my wings, allowing it to survive. Resist, and you will die, and your civilization will end with you. Make your choice. Will you submit or resist?”

Darcy stood among the ninjas. Even though he knew he couldn’t win, he held firmly to his beliefs. He would only submit to someone who had defeated him.

He met Han Wu’s gaze with pride. “Do you think I would submit just because you said so?”

Han Wu sensed the resolve in his words and nodded. “Fine, let me show you my strength.”

Han Wu formed a series of hand seals, and a huge mass of black water gathered behind him. It continued to grow until it formed a massive orb.

“Everyone, be careful! That’s the Kokkai family’s black water. It’s extremely corrosive!” the Shadow of the Giant Wood Village warned.

The other Shadows immediately used their strongest defensive jutsu to defend against the black water orb.

Han Wu ignored them and continued to shape the orb. Under his control, the orb changed into a massive python that swam through the sky. Its enormous frame encompassed the entire island beneath it.

The ninjas stared upward in shock. The black water python was so immense that all hope of resistance drained from them.

Han Wu spoke again, “Now, who wishes to submit, and who wishes to resist?”

His voice was incomparably hard to resist and powerful. To the ninjas, Han Wu was like a God now!
