Chapter 38: The Plan

Chapter 77

In the North District

A sleek black luxury sedan pulled up in front of a high-end hotel—its polished surface reflecting the neon lights like liquid ink.

The engine purred softly before shutting off with precision.

The doors opened with a gentle hiss.

A man stepped out.

Tall, broad-shouldered, and dressed in a tailored black coat that clung to his powerful frame.

His physique was carved from years of ruthless discipline—lean muscle, compact power.

He moved with the confidence of someone used to danger, someone who didn’t ask for permission, only results.

His hair was deep crimson, striking even in the dim light, and his eyes—red as burning coals—flicked up to the building like they could see through its walls.

He stared at it in silence for a moment, then exhaled.

Not out of fear. Something else.

A storm brewing behind calm eyes. Conflict, maybe even regret. But only for a second.

Then he entered.

The inside of the hotel oozed wealth—gold trims, velvet carpets, and marble floors polished until they gleamed like mirrors.

But he didn’t look twice.

He went straight to the private elevator, used only by the elite.

Up top, on the kind of floor reserved for those who casually dropped $50,000 to $100,000 a night, he stepped into the hallway.

Silent.

Expensive.

The kind of silence you could feel pressing against your ears.

He reached the door.

And walked in without knocking.

What waited inside was like a scene pulled from a forbidden painting.

A woman stood there—naked, illuminated by the warm amber glow of the chandelier.

Her body was sculpted sin—the kind of beauty that made men forget kingdoms.

Long, silver hair cascaded down her back like moonlight, almost covering her firm curves, but never enough to distract from them.

Her posture was deliberate, graceful—one arm holding her hair up, the other relaxed, hips slightly tilted.

She was a trap wrapped in desire.

Eyes the color of frozen oceans—icy blue, piercing and unreadable.

Her skin glowed softly under the light, smooth and flawless, like porcelain warmed by firelight.

The room itself was luxury laced with lust.

Deep red walls, black leather couches, a bar stocked with liquors that cost more than most cars.

The scent of something floral and intoxicating floated through the air—sweet, sharp, and dangerous.

The woman didn’t flinch as he walked in.

She didn’t cover herself.

She just held her pose and stared him down like she was the one in control.

And maybe she was.

The man looked at her with eyes that showed almost no emotion. "The team is now on the move," he said coldly.

"Ohh, is that so?" she replied, stepping backward slowly, trying to seduce the man.

She had silver hair that flowed down to her lower back, almost covering her backside but not really.

Her body was flawless.

Her blue eyes were cold, like ice, as she walked into the large living room.

"Well, it doesn’t matter," she said in a voice that was cold but alluring.

"I just want the boy to suffer. Taking over that territory would only weaken our manpower. Let that idiot think he’s in control while we use him to grow stronger... then crush him and show who the real leaders are."

The man removed his jacket as he replied, "I understand. But what if he loses?"

Nora shrugged and sat on the couch. "Then we lost some newcomers who couldn’t even handle a few teenagers."

She glanced at the man’s well-built body with a smirk."But... did you remind the others to take the little boy?"

"Yeah, I did. They should be on it right now," the man said, unbuckling his belt.

His expression changed—now filled with nothing but lust. "But that doesn’t matter right now. I didn’t come here for business—I came for you."

"Yessss," Nora whispered with a smile.

The man moved in fast and kissed her. As their bodies pressed together, Nora asked between heavy breaths, "What about that teenager... Elijah?"

"Don’t worry. Xiniz is on it," he said, kissing her neck as she clung to him tightly.

In the south district, far from the polished chaos of gang-claimed turf, lay a pocket of lawlessness known as the gangless zone—a fractured region where no flag flew and no boss reigned.

But tonight, that was about to change.

A restaurant—abandoned to the public eye but alive in the underworld—served as the stage for a secret meeting.

From the outside, it looked like a rundown diner left to rot:

peeling signs, flickering neon, and windows so dirty they blurred the world behind them.

But inside, it was a fortress of shadows and steel.

The place was dimly lit by a single hanging bulb that swung slightly, casting long, crooked shadows across cracked tiled floors and faded red booths.

Dust hovered in the air like tension—thick, unmoving.

Every sound echoed, yet no one spoke above a whisper unless they had the power to.

At the center table, beneath that lone bulb, sat three men locked in intense conversation.

The one in the middle was unmistakable—Cain.

In his early twenties.

His aura crackled like a storm on the verge of erupting.

He wasn’t just strong—he oozed raw, unfiltered power.

His cultivation had reached the Peak of the Intermediate Knight Stage, and every breath he took felt heavy with dominance.

His body was deceptively lean, almost wiry, dressed in a sleek, dark brown jacket with crimson linings, unzipped just enough to show a chain around his neck.

His black eyes were sharp, analyzing every movement, every breath around him.

And though his face was calm, there was a quiet cruelty to the way he gripped his glass—a man used to getting what he wanted, or taking it by force.

Around the room, armed men sat in corners.

Each held a weapon discreetly but clearly visible.

No one smiled.

No one relaxed.

Every seat had been chosen for tactical advantage.

He was a representative from the Stray Dog Gang, a rising enforcer who had been sent here with only the newcomers.

It was a test.

A test of loyalty, of competence, of ruthlessness.

But to him?

It felt like a promotion.

The gang had practically handed him a throne—if he could hold it.

He had already bent two of the gangless area’s local leaders to his will.

Intimidation, negotiation, threats—he didn’t care how it happened.

They now answered to him.

Only one problem remained.

The Azura Gang.

They were the final obstacle.

A group of tight-knit, unpredictable fighters who held just enough territory to matter and just enough pride to be a problem.

That was why they were here.

This meeting wasn’t a discussion.

It was the prelude to war

The brown-haired, black-eyed young man with a slightly skinny build leaned forward and spoke, "Okay then—let’s attack and make it quick. Don’t give them room to breathe."

"Yes, sir," the two men replied, leaving to lead their teams into position.

The young man, Cain, added, "Then I’ll head to their main base and meet their leader. Once he’s dead, everything else will fall into place."

What Cain didn’t know... was that Elijah wasn’t in the city. But neither did the Azura gang. No one really knew what was coming—but they were prepared.

Another Location — The Clearing

This was the only area where the first gang, Moon, would attack. Ben stood there, tall and calm in the open clearing, surrounded by ten men. All of them wore black suits with their gang symbol on the back.

They were all Beginner Knights, holding guns.

Ben, however, stood apart—his strength had jumped since switching from his old technique.

The Crop Breathing Technique gave him a much stronger foundation.

His aura as a Peak Intermediate Knight was a storm barely held back.

Just then, an SUV arrived.

Kai stepped out from the back, while Tony got out from the driver’s seat.

Both wore suits, walking toward Ben.

"Seems like they haven’t attacked yet," Kai said.

"Yeah," Ben replied. "We made everything seem normal—but they’re still waiting for the right moment."

Tony, bat in hand, walked with more confidence than ever.

He and Dean had reached the Peak Beginner Stage fast—maybe because they had the technique first—but still, their growth was insane.

All thanks to the Crop Farming Breathing Technique.

"How did you even know?" Ben asked.

Kai chuckled. "I planted some of our guys in their territory to act like regular folks. They’ve been feeding me every move the gangs make. This morning, they said a meeting was happening—looked like they were planning to move. And I’m sure of it... the Stray Dogs were seen near our territory too. They’re using those gangs to tear us apart... and once the job’s done, they’ll throw them away."

Ben nodded. "Think they’ll send a strong team?"

"I’m sure it won’t be anything we can’t handle. They still don’t know what we’re capable of," Kai said confidently.

Ben nodded again but didn’t seem fully convinced.

After a moment, he asked, "What about Elijah?"

Kai looked at Ben and answered, "Elijah is strong. I doubt they’ll send someone heavy after him—but just in case, I sent Tristan his way."
