"Don’t worry, grandma will eat with you." Lan Yueru said with a smile, "Xiaoze, go wash two peaches for us."

"Alright!" He responded and took two peaches to the kitchen.

Mu Yiliang looked around but didn’t see Yan Sijue.

"Looking for Si Jue?" Lan Yueru’s smile faded slightly.

Mu Yiliang noticed the change in Lan Yueru’s tone.

"Hmm... is he still in the study? I’ll call him down to eat strawberries." Mu Yiliang turned to leave.

"Wait." Lan Yueru called to her in a serious tone.

Mu Yiliang stopped in her tracks.

"Aunt Lan, what’s the matter?" She forced a smile.

"Yiliang, is there something wrong between you and Si Jue?" Lan Yueru stared into her eyes, "You’ve been acting a bit off lately."

Mu Yiliang’s heart skipped a beat.

"No... no, there isn’t." She quickly flashed a smile, "Aunt Lan, Si Jue and I are fine, don’t worry."

"Is that really true?" Lan Yueru gazed at her, sighing, "Yiliang, you know I’ve stayed out of your affairs for a long time. Before, we all thought you were dead, but it was Si Jue who insisted on looking for you... Now that you’ve finally reunited, I just hope you can be well, without more setbacks. Can you promise me that?"
