The Maid's Rise to Be a President's Wife-Chapter 213: Surprise Before the Typhoon Arrives
Chapter 213 - Surprise Before the Typhoon Arrives
Today was a typhoon day, so it was now raining cats and dogs outside. Yiren was lying on her desk, looking as if she was about to fall asleep.
"You've finished all the work again today!" Cui Zijun looked at the desk, which had nothing on it except a pile of documents.
"Over there, I've finished all of them," Yiren pointed at the pile of documents on the left side of the desk and said.
"The president underestimated your ability," Cui Zijun laughed. The previous secretaries were exhausted from work, but she was bored every day.
"Are you setting me up with that sentence?" Yiren leaned close to Cui Zijun and asked in a low voice, "Will you get off work early tonight?"
"I'm not sure yet," It all depends on the president's decision.
"The weather forecast says the typhoon will make landfall this afternoon. It's a red alert. Be careful that you might get blown away if you get off work too late," Yiren murmured. On a day like this with heavy wind and rain, it was most comfortable to lie at home and sleep! And she still didn't know what time she could get off work.
"I'm not worried about myself. You should go home early! You look..." Cui Zijun was considering which word to use to describe Yiren.
"As thin as a skeleton, right?" Yiren stretched out her hand and looked at her arm. "In fact, you don't know that I'm as strong as an ox!"
"I haven't seen that yet! Oh, I forgot to tell you. The president is looking for you!" He had just chatted with Yiren for a few words when he came out of the president's office and almost forgot what the president had told him!
"Looking for me! Could it be that he's going to tell me to get off work early?" Yiren said with a smile and looked forward to it.
"Very likely," Cui Zijun nodded affirmatively.
In the president's office,
"President, you were looking for me!"
"Hmm," Ji Minze looked up and replied. "Do you have any work that's not finished today?"
"Me?" Yiren became uneasy. Had she caused some trouble again? "I think I've finished everything," Yiren thought for a while and then said, because she seemed to have done all the work she was supposed to do.
"Then you can go home. We can finish the unfinished work together next week," Ji Minze said. He knew that a super typhoon was about to make landfall today, so he had told all the employees to stop working. And they were still in the office because they had important matters to deal with.
"Thank you, President!" Oh, my God, you've finally heard my wish. Yiren said happily, and then turned to leave the president's office.

"Yiren!" Ji Minze called out to her.
"President, is there anything else?" Yiren stopped and turned around to ask, thinking that Ji Minze wouldn't go back on his word, would he?
"Pay attention to your safety," Ji Minze said to her.
"Thank you for your concern, President!" Haha, it was just a false alarm!
Ji Minze saw ecstasy on Yiren's face. She was like a kangaroo, always bouncing around and couldn't stand the life of being cooped up.
Yiren simply tidied up her desk, picked up her bag, and happily walked into the elevator. Fortunately, she had stocked up on some food two days ago, so now she could comfortably stay in her apartment and hibernate for a few days.
Because of the typhoon weather, Yiren waited for a long time before she could get a taxi.
"Sir, you're still driving in this weather!" Yiren chatted with the taxi driver after getting in the car. Half of her clothes were already wet! Who asked her to have the habit of not carrying an umbrella!
"I'm about to finish work. It's better to stay at home in this weather," The taxi driver was a middle-aged man in his forties. He looked very amiable and smiled as he said.
"I think so too, so I want to go home quickly," Yiren smiled.
Because the wind was getting stronger and stronger, the car drove very slowly. It took Yiren almost an hour to get home from the company. This was the slowest taxi ride ever when there was no traffic jam at all!
But Yiren soon couldn't laugh anymore, because when she stood at the door of her apartment, she realized that she had left her keys in the office! It was just like that cold joke. She finally climbed to the fortieth floor only to find that she had left her keys in the lobby on the first floor.
