Chapter 176: Fabio Leaving The Ivanov Family!

Antonio wasn’t understanding what was going on, but he just sat silently. He was just going to watch whatever his son was doing. Eduardo wasn’t the kind of person who would do anything without a reason; besides, he never asked for anything since he returned to the Ivanov estate.

Jackie wasn’t the only person who came. Behind her was Arthur. He wasn’t going to let his cousin come to the Ivanov mansion alone.

Last night, after they had received the message from an unknown source for Jackie to come to the estate to take back her son, they were surprised to see such a sudden message. Jackie had been trying to speak to Fabio, but he had been ignoring her. Arthur told her to give Fabio some time.

They thought he needed more time to accept the fact that the woman he thought was his mother turned out to be a fake. He was kidnapped from his real mother by his aunt and was forced to live as her son.

It must be traumatic for him.

But, the truth was that Fabio didn’t care at all. He didn’t care if Charlotte was his real mother or his aunt or if he had another family. He didn’t care and he didn’t want to meet any of them.

He’d rather work as a cleaner in the Ivanov mansion just so he would be close to Eduardo.

He pushed Jackie away, claiming he was not ready to return home.

However, today... Eduardo was going to send him back to his parents, either it’s by force or it’s by force. He would have chosen to kill him brutally or hand him to the cops, but his father wouldn’t want that.

Fabio is a criminal; he was a criminal and will forever be one. Making him stay in the Ivanov house could ruin the family’s reputation if his crimes get exposed. It was better for Eduardo to expel him from the house in the meantime before he ruined the family.

Jackie and Arthur joined the others and they started having breakfast. Thanks to the guest, Nessa didn’t behave childishly. She could sense the tension in the air and that was the reason her mother asked that they leave on time.

Maya was attacked by an assassin last night. Who knows? It could be anyone in the mansion next.

"Eddy..."

"Father... Please, trust me with this. I know what I’m doing," Eduardo said to his father. Antonio sighed heavily.

"I trust you, Eddy," he replied.

.

Just while they were clanging their plates, the door creaked open and Fabio walked in. Everyone paused and diverted their attention to the door.

Fabio furrowed his eyebrows, wondering if something was going on. He looked at everyone’s faces one after the other and even noticed his mother.

His breath hitched as he took a step back. He immediately turned to look at Eduardo, but he was busy eating his breakfast.

"Ed- I mean, Master, what are you doing? Why is this woman here?" He asked, walking closer to Eduardo.

"Woman?" Eduardo asked, flashing him a death glare. "She’s your mother, Fabio," he said.

Fabio swallowed hard and stared at Jackie, who was already standing as she was happy to see her son.

It’s been more than a month since she found her son, but has never once held him in her embrace.

"I... I know she’s my mother, but what is she doing here?" He asked.

"She’s here to take her son back home, Fabio," Eduardo said, with a smile on his face.

Fabio froze at the spot, both of his fists were clenched tightly beside him.

"Home? Who gets to decide for me where I’d like to be?"

"Me. Your Master" Eduardo sprung up and adjusted his shirt.

"You’re lucky to have your mother who’s ready to give you all the love you never received since birth. I lost mine when I was young. So, you’d better go with her, Fabio,"

"I still don’t understand, Master. Why am I to go with my mother?"

Eduardo stretched his hand towards Luca and Luca handed him a brown envelope.

"Here’s three months advance salary and letter of recommendation. You can use it to get a job elsewhere, but not here..."

"Master..." Ivan tried to speak but Eduardo stopped him with his hand before he could say another word.

"I very much know how much you and my father love Fabio. But if you truly love him, you’d want the best for him, right?" He asked, a fake smile plastered on his face. Ivan lowered his head. Antonio nodded his head slightly.

"That’s true," he said.

Fabio shook his head. He didn’t want Antonio to speak.

"Eduardo made a good choice. You should spend more time with your family, Fabio. As long as my son has given you a letter of recommendation, you could work anywhere," he said, standing from his chair. He walked toward Fabio who was still shaking his head. He didn’t want to leave. He thought Antonio would support him and allow him to stay, but, no, he was supporting his son.

He got close and wrapped a hand around Fabio.

"You were a good child. If you ever need anything, don’t hesitate to meet me," Antonio tapped his shoulder and returned to his seat.

"But, I don’t wish to..."

Eduardo placed a hand around his neck and drew his lips closer to Fabio’s ear.

"You’d better leave from here silently if you don’t wish to end up in jail. You fucking criminal," he whispered, and Fabio froze, his eyes widening in shock. His head creaked to the side as his eyes met with Eduardo’s.

"Criminal? What are you talking about?" He whispered back.

"I don’t have to explain anything to you," Eduardo said and walked towards the door. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖

"Mrs Jackie, congratulations on taking your son back. Please, make sure you give him the motherly love he never received as a child," He spoke with a smile on his face.

"I will. Thank you very much, sir" Jackie lowered her head as tears rolled down her cheek. Arthur patted her back gently.

Fabio looked at everyone one more time. There was a smirk on Viola’s face. She also waved at Fabio.

He immediately stormed out of the dining room, leaving the exact way he came. He didn’t even take the salary or recommendation letter that was arranged for him.

Luca handed it to his mother before she ran after her son. Arthur followed behind.

"What the hell just happened? Is Fabby gone?" Nessa asked.

"Nessa darling, you shouldn’t concern yourself with him. I’m sure Eddy sent him away for a good reason," Viola winked at her.

"True," Nessa grumbled.

Breakfast ended soon after. Everyone went to their room. Lily and her family already packed their belongings since they were leaving. Viola was also leaving with them.

They were leaving for the airport in the afternoon, and their flight was in the evening. Antonio made arrangements for the cars to take them to the airport.

Nessa just focused on ending her vlog as she took a tour around the house.

.

Maya knocked on the door of Eduardo’s office. Luca opened it and saw her there.

"Is he busy?" She whispered.

"Well, a little. He seems different since this morning. He didn’t even eat properly this morning. Can you speak to him?" Luca asked her.

"Me?" Maya asked. She doubted that her words would make any difference in his actions. "I don’t think I can..."

She shook her head slowly.

"At this rate, I’m worried about him."

"Ugh! Let me try," she pushed Luca aside and entered his office. The sound of pen scribbling on paper echoed in his office. He was so focused on what he was writing.

"Hey, Eddy!" She said, rubbing her hands.

"I know you’re depressed and... so disappointed with what happened earlier, but..."

"Huh? Depressed?" Eddy lifted his head, looking at Maya.

"Wait! Aren’t you depressed? Luca said you’ve been working non-stop for over five hours,"

"Oh, I’m just writing a letter to my sister. More like words of affirmation. Her first love life just got ruined, so I’m hoping she doesn’t give up," he said.

She smiled and walked closer to him. She stared at his handwriting. It was as stylish and mature as he was.

She diverted her gaze from the paper to his handsome face. She bit her lips, lost in her thoughts. His lap looked so thick. She wished she could sit on them or touch them.

Or... whatever that was between the lap.

She shook her head when a knock came. The door opened and Luca came in.

"They are leaving already, Master,"

"Sure, I’ll be outside in a minute," he said, standing up. He stood up from his chair and lowered his head to look at Maya.

A smile appeared on his lips as he touched Maya’s hair. Maya was waiting to hear something cute from him and her cheek started to glow red already.

"I never realised it before but..." He took a dramatic pause and she closed her eyes even tighter, pressing her lips together. "You’re really short,"

"Huh?!" She opened her eyes and he was gone from her side. Immediately turning to the door, she threw a book at him, which he caught with ease.

"You’re tall... Are you getting anything from it?" She asked.

"Of course, anytime I stand close to you... You’re looking up to me," he handed the book to Luca and left his office. She gritted her teeth tightly getting even annoyed as Luca was laughing at her. He laughed really hard that he didn’t sense a book flying in his direction till it hit his head.

"You deserve that. Hmph!" She folded her hands and walked past his body, exiting the office.
