The Lustful Villain: Every Milfs and Gilfs are Mine!-Chapter 211. I Was Rex Rexilion Until I Wasn’t (I’m The Undead Bringer Now!)
Rex stared at it for a moment. Then he laughed, short and genuine, because the Avatar had just done exactly what Rex would have done if someone implied they could read his thinking from a general description, which was to push for specifics rather than assume the general version was sufficient.
"97.3%," he said while crossing his arms. "The other 2.7% is interesting."
The Avatar stood still.
"Alright, let me check if we could switch bodies first... just to make sure." He closed his eyes.
As the Avatar focused, a faint glow surrounded him, and Rex felt a strange feeling wash over him. The air was full of energy, and he couldn’t help but wonder what it would be like to really see things from the Avatar’s perspective.
Rex took a deep breath and went through the Consciousness Transfer Protocol test. This was the one where he let his awareness briefly live in the Avatar’s sensory frame and then come back.
Rex’s and the Avatar’s consciousness switched quickly, and he found himself looking at his own form in the same position he had occupied moments before. "Sweet motherfucking lust..."
Then it lasted about four seconds for him, and when he got back to his own body, his main hands felt a little warmer than they had before. This was the small recalibration effect the system had warned him about.
The Avatar stayed standing in the grass, not moving at all, like something that didn’t need to fidget.
"Yeah, that works alright," Rex said. "With that evidence... I could actually make fast progress by having to raise two women’s desire at once.
"Yes, you can," the Avatar said.
"But that means you’re going to have to fuck them too, right?"
"Nope. That kind of thing is only exclusive to you."
"Oh my fucking lust—lustia or system... I fucking love both of you for giving me this new useful power."
Rex was satisfied that a plan that had only been in his head was now something real. The Undead Bringer could get injured badly tonight, but it wouldn’t matter anyway because he could just switch to his Avatar.
The Avatar could be there even if the main body was completely destroyed, managing Rex Rexilion’s social calendar and keeping his relationships going while the real one moved. As long as the Avatar was there, he couldn’t be killed.
This was the immortality that he’s looking for, and it’s fucking broken.
He smiled, and the Avatar smiled back at the same time. This wasn’t because it was copying him in real time, but it was because they had come to the same conclusion based on the same set of information.
"Okay then," Rex said, letting the smile fade. "There’s a new plan, so... here’s what you’re going to do."
Rex told the Avatar what to do in a way that showed he had been planning this for three days and knew exactly what needed to be said and what the Avatar could do on its own.
The Avatar would go back to the Silver Rest tonight and show itself to Mara before she finished closing the common room. This would prove that Rex Rexilion had come back down for a drink.
Then tomorrow morning, it would be at breakfast before Elizabeth’s scheduled office hours, providing the social record the city required. This plan would only be executed if the real Rex did not return to his life as Rex Rexilion.
But more importantly, it would put itself close to Apollo’s group during the whole engagement. Not in a way that stood out or made people expect it, but there and dependable, just like Rex had worked to be dependable over the weeks he had spent building that reputation.
"But wait... yeah, you can just improvise the plan when you get back to the inn, but we still need to continue the grind, especially with Apollo’s harem, because there are two that I need you to raise their desire level."
"Nerith and Mireya," Rex said. "Two of Apollo’s harem that I want to steal as well."
"During the attack, they’ll probably be in the field with the others. You know how my foresight reads in combat, and you know how I move."
"When the ambush starts, try to find them in the chaos with the others like Lily, Diana, Talyra, or Aieslla." Rex held his own chin to think even more. "Try to go for Nerith especially."
"She’ll push herself hard to compensate for whatever Apollo does or doesn’t do, and she’ll take on more than she can handle before she realizes it."
"And what happens then?" the Avatar asked.
"Try to pull her back by saving her because I’ll order one of the undead to kill her. There must be no hesitation; it should be clean and clear," Rex said. "The way I would do it."
"The Rex Rexilion style," he smirks.
The Avatar handled this in the same way it did when it was confirming intent instead of getting new information. "And what about Mireya?"
"Same approach, but a different way in." Rex crossed his arms. "She’ll stay close to the group longer before she goes too far and try to see the moment it changes."
The Avatar nodded once.
"Alright, you can go back to the inn now; try not to fly." Rex pointed. "Go back through the east postern."
"You can just walk the long way around to the harbor gate and let Mara see you when you get there."
The Avatar suggested. "Can I use teleportation at least...?"
"Go ahead."
The Avatar turned, walked four steps, and then disappeared. They used teleportation the same way Rex did, without any fuss and only when it was needed.
Rex stood alone in the open space between the city wall and the trees, staring at the dark ahead of him and the flat ground that sloped gently north toward the emergence point he had mapped days before with the Earthen Authority’s substrate reading.
He knelt down and put both hands flat on the ground.
"It’s time to fucking work, baby." He cleared his throat. "Let me do this like some aura-farmer."
"Arise... my undead."
The Sovereign Necromancy was an entirely different level from the Earthen Authority. The necromancy spread out like a command, with purpose behind it, from his palms through the soil to the Underlayer connection point two hundred meters north.
The Earth layer opened up under him like a map.
[SOVEREIGN NECROMANCY — FULL DEPLOYMENT ACTIVATED]
[ASSETS AVAILABLE: 312 UNDEAD CONSTRUCTS, UNDERLAYER BURIAL GROUNDS]
[DEPLOYMENT VECTOR: TERTIARY SURFACE EMERGENCE POINT, NORTHERN APPROACH, AETHELGARD OUTER PERIMETER]
[ESTIMATED EMERGENCE TIME: 4 MINUTES, 22 SECONDS]
The ground at the emergence point began to shift subtly. It did not shift violently or in a manner that would attract the attention of a passing traveler on the road; rather, it settled with a slight depression in the soil before the first of them emerged.
As the army of undead emerged, Rex walked toward the emergence point because he had tasks to complete while they were preparing.
"It’s time to rise and bring destruction to Aethelgard, my fellow minions!"
The first twenty were undead demons from Mordecai’s cannon fodder ranks. He had raised them from the Underlayer burial grounds on the first night in the catacombs.
They came up with the specific quality of things that had been waiting for a long time and were now oriented toward a purpose they recognized.
Next came the mid-tier fighters, which were once elite units that had died in Mordecai’s failed attack on Aethelgard and had been waiting for a long time to rise up.
And then, near the end, the larger ones.
"I need a good drip to start this ambush." He said to one of the undead demons. "Your sacrifice will be remembered."
Rex chose one of the mid-tier constructs, a former demon soldier built wide across the shoulders with armor that had been good quality once and had retained most of that through the preservation of undeath.
He took it apart with telekinesis, quickly and without difficulty, stripping the outer chest plate and the hood that covered the upper face.
He put on the armor.
He put on the hood.
"Time to shapeshift to one of the most important apostles." He smirks.
Thanks to Shapeshifting’s full profile replication, Xavier Xenworth’s face was under that hood. Rex took the piece of skull that had been stripped and pressed it against Xavier’s cheekbones and brow.
It formed a rough mask that covered the top two-thirds of his face. The armor, hood, and open lower jaw all came together to make a single visual statement that people wouldn’t have to think about to understand.
"I did... the transformation is complete..."
"I am..."
"...The Undead Bringer."
